I'd love to see a large scale, metropolitan scenario - the towns at the moment are just that, towns, I'd love to see a huge city. Multi-storey apartment buildings, department stores (mostly looted) and office buildings. Unfortunately I imagine that something of the scale I have in mind wouldn't be feasible - for the engine or the time the devs would need to spend on it.

If this has only been happening in the last hour or so it may be due to the servers being down for maintenance.

It seems like they're up and down like a yoyo - pings are going crazy. I daresay if whatever we do in the next couple of hours will be wiped.

Maaan, that sucks. It's Friday night here in Australia - prime gaming time.

So these barns only started spawning loot as of the latest patch? That explains a lot, haha. I had spent so much time checking these barns and never found anything.

Okay, I've searched the forum and can't find the answer on this one - am I able to loot cars? If so, how? I've been up to and around trashed cars in the towns but haven't had any icons pop up to show I could loot them. I've opened a the doors but haven't ever found anything in them - does this just mean the loot's already been taken, or didn't spawn in the first place? Am I going about it the wrong way? Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

I've heard of KoS before but I'm surprised at how many Bambi's want to Punch on Site. Last night I had respawned just south of Solnichniy and, after getting my bearings, I took off inland to get some water. I didn't bother to stop on the way to get any loot so, at this point, I'm completely fresh - no gear whatsoever. While quenching my thirst I heard footsteps behind me and turned around to see a Bambi throwing his fists in my direction. I dodged his poor aimed attacks and ran away a short distance, turning and waving to indicate I meant no harm. What does he do? He comes at me again! Fists swinging furiously as I continued to dodge his attack. Out of options I stepped in and punched him squarely in the face, instantly dropping him to the ground. While he was down I threw a few more punches, to make sure he wasn't getting back up, and then went back to the well. This was the fourth time in my last few sessions that I've been attacked while unequipped by other unequipped players - players that have no idea how to melee because only two of them ever landed any punches. I'm not sure what my point is but, guys, what the hell?!

Great story, certainly one that restores a little faith in DayZ humanity. I got on to DayZ by watching vidoes on YouTube by FRANKIEonPCin1080p and he did this sort of stuff; helps out new players and goes after their attackers.

It would be good if there was a statistic tracker. X amount of Zombies killed. X amount of Players killed. X Hours Survived. That way we could set up custom challenges and generally have pissing contests.

What's your name in-game? Just so I know to avoid you, haha. I got turned on to DayZ from FRANKIEonPCin1080p's videos - damn they're good.
