Never leave a LRS behind, it will only fall into the hands of a recently deceased server hopping KOS sniper who upon finding it will immediately head back to the coast to kill freshspawns to work of his/her rage at being killed by a freshspawn so he/she can get back to the business of killing freshspawns while clear headed. I know that's not always true, but it is true often enough that I refuse to leave them behind, hence my collection across hardcore and regular of 7 or is it 8 LRSs, I really need to run up north and dump them in a bush again.

Try the improvised 2 story bunkers near airstrips, they tend to get passed over by server hoppers, aside from hitting up hangars after a server reset its your best bet. Its also in my experience a lot less dangerous to take a pass at them and run like hell than to search the hangars. Good cover for approach and exit, as apposed to being totally exposed to every Tom, Dick and Harry who wants to take a pot shot at anyone who steps on the tarmac.

The best gear for killing other people comes from places other than airstrips/military buildings with the exception of a LRS. I am far more concerned by players with mosins than I will ever be about players with kitted out M4s.

Its entirely possible an administrator had some fun with you via server messages and shot you with a LRS+mosin from long range.

While I call bull on 5 M4's in the Vybor mill base and airstrip I to have found alot of guns in Vybor, the brick building with the arch has spawned 2 on more than one occasion for me, and there are 3 or 4 of them in that town + the office building and the two piano buildings and the industrial complex just north + the two barns on the way to NWAF its not just possible but down right likely. I've never found more than 4 long guns total at NWAF even when the server just reset and I check every building, including the one to the north in the woods and the two story improvised lookout towers. Ive got tons of experience in Vybor/NWAF.

actually once we have vehicles in you can run a computer on a power inverter conected to the battery. I know what you are thinking, "But Franchi does that actually work?" Well my fellow survivors I can tell you from personal experience that it does in fact work you can power a desktop PC +monitor from the battery of a running car..

A player who has never stared down an LRS at someone doing the wiggle dance, only to see that person bring out a pistol and kill the person they were interacting with as soon as they turn their back. A reset or spawning in the ocean unconscious? Cause I've only had the ocean spawn while unconscious when I was killed or died walking through a wall..

You were killed, there is a bug that spawns you in the ocean unconscious when you are killed. Perhaps stay out of <insert hot zone here> in the future if death makes you angry enough to post on the forums.

Just to reinforce this, things that fire bullets are for when you screw up. Aside from testing guns a bit and having fun with zombies on empty servers Ive fired less than 20 rounds in dayz. Why? Because I have gotten good at having very few screw ups. While KOS is a bit lame you only get KOSed when you screw up and let someone see you without full control of the situation.

exactly. The last guy who shouted "friendly" "I'm not a threat" , ran around the corner and came back with an FNX to shoot me. 3 guys have me surrounded and tell me to surrender? Pull my gun and spam z, the best that can happen is they commit fratricide and someone how I manage to survive, likley outcome I manage to confuse them and get a round into the one I can see hopefully ruining some of his gear, the worst, they ruin most of my gear and get little to nothing.

You should have used cover and gotten the hell out of Electro, the only reason to go to and search Electro is to engage in PVP. Sure you spawned there, so have most people, and they either accept they are going to get shot at by nasal 12 year olds or they MOVE INLAND, skipping Electro. Getting shot as a newspawn is stupid, but its a part of dayz, DEAL WITH IT. Don't clutter the forums with whine threads where you blame steam and preteens/teens for your issues.

My mother has a leather sling on her marlin lever action 22 that was probably made for WW1 (it came off her great granddads 1903 Springfield), still works just fine she has had the gun since high school. Degradation on rag/string/rope improvised ones could be a thing just cause, but on a manufactured sling? if that is the case then our clothes need to fall off every 15-20 minutes of play.

It is an object that has a name, do you also call bi-pods "stabalizers" do you call guns "Bullet throwers" do you call scopes and binoculars "farseeing glass" do you call bandages "wound protectors"? No you don't the simple fact is you didn't know what they were called. I consider this stupidity, heck I would bet that as many as half the people taking a shot at you are scared and think you are going to try and rob/kill/force feed rotten fruit. By forcing the interaction you are potentially forcing them into the decision to defend their meager belongings against an unknown quantity. Yet you consider that heroism. If you want to help them you CAN do so without forcing interaction, just work your way ahead of them and drop the gear in a location so as to insure they find it, sure you don't get the warm glowing feeling if they happen to be grateful, but you don't end up killing some poor re-spawn/freshspawn who happened to find a can opener that he/she thinks you are going to kill/torture him/her for. No option is given to help without interacting. Of special note on this one there is NO way to tell if a player is armed or not unless they are walking around in nothing but their undergarments, and if they are I would sure as hell keep my distance sure they might have just been stripped by bandits, but far more likely they are an expendable scout for a group. A striped player is also far more likely to simply charge you in a attempt to knock you out, if they just got stripped by bandits what do you think they expect from you? Essentially if you can be sure they are not armed approaching them for any reason other then to kill them (as a KOS player) is inherently a bad idea In your pole on question 10 If you opt to attempt to kill 4 players who just killed a freshspawn you get credit as bandit and KOS. You provide no other information related to the freshspawn killing leaving me to assume it was not warranted. So killing bandits and/or KOS players in your poll makes you a bandit and KOS player? Why? Its not KOS, if it was you would be killing them the moment you saw them. Given the previous witnessed actions you now have cause and justification to engage the targets. Its not banditry as no mention of taking their gear is made in order for it to be banditry their gear would have to be the central goal. I could probably go on by examining every answer to every question, but why bother, the quiz is seriously flawed.

Where are the questions about running from Berizino to Electro to put a splint on some poor SOB's leg? Or going to NE airfield on a full server to pump bloodbags into someone while under fire? "at least you dont go around sniping new spawns on the coast"? Now I do play with some rough guys on occasion, but the only people I have killed (and its a short list) came at me FIRST, and that makes me a bad person? Hello smartass see that Remington 700? It is mine, it has a SLING not a strap. This rifle is not mine, I did however build it, it also has a sling. Enlighten thine self. P.S. Slings have a use aside from carrying the rifle, they can be used to increase stability when taking standing shots by wedging the elbow used to grip the for end into the sling. I had thought maybe this was a Canadian versus USA thing, but every Canadian sporting outlet I could find calls them slings as well. His use of Clip was intended as a joke at your expense, using the term strap instead of sling is equivalent to calling a magazine a clip. Also note that I really don't care, it doesn't bother me as I understood what you were talking about but jumping down that guys throat for correcting you invited this response.
