In that case block the terrain from my vision too. I can't see it from 1PP so why should I be able to see it with 3PP? You can't half-arsedly use such logic.

Properly in a corner? Surely the same as sticking out, but just worded differently. You do realise that just because you are able to do something doesn't mean you have to do it. Once again the logic of not being able to see things is brought to the table. If you don't like the fact you can see things you can't/shouldn't be able to see, then this mod isn't the answer. You can still see the terrain, you can still plan your route without peeking, only thing you can't see is a zombie or a player. Which 9/10 times ain't on the other side anyway.

So it's fine to exploit it to make sure your not sticking out of cover? We all use 1PP for aiming seeing as when you go into aim mode it automatically takes you there.

I have no issues with either view point, IF they bring it in I will continue to use 3PP, switching to 1PP when needed. Drinking from ponds, looting those hard to reach places and looking under beds... Where did I claim that all those in favour are '1PPers'? Also where was the insult? Those I was addressing and comparing to KoS, humanity system whiners ARE self confessed 1PPers, they are just as militant and narrow minded in their views regarding 'how to play DayZ properly'. Not everyone against the idea is a 3PP player either. Some 1PPers understand that a fix to the 'problem' already exists. It's fine for people to label all 3PPers into the crutch needers, cheaters and exploiters group, right though?

Had it been implemented from day one people would have adapted to it. But it wasn't. Probably because in practice it's not very pleasing for numerous reasons. 3PP players are not calling for view preferences to be altered, we accept and adapt to what is put in front of us. We don't need to justify anything. Those wanting to change something are those that have to justify it. You don't like the way 3PP is played, people understand that. Even the devs understood it enough to pander to you and give you separate hives, yet still you require more. Seriously, you 1PPers are getting on par with the KoS and the Humanity System whiners...

Limit the number of servers, up the number of players to something stupid like 500 players, it'll be about nothing other than surviving!

But in 1PP you wouldn't be able to see them, so surely I would be getting an advantage over you by being able to see the landscape ahead of me. I may not be able to see a player or zombies, but I could take my sweet time scanning the terrain and planning my route ahead. I have a problem with the logic you are using, nothing else. The whole, 'I can't see you so you shouldn't be able to see me, but seeing everything else around me is fine' argument you guys use. Even with this, 3PP has advantages. You have dedicated servers so you cannot be seen i which everyone is stuck in the same view, I don't get why you even care about a feature you don't use. If the 1PP servers were full with players, would you even care about this feature? Either accept the way 3PP is played and adapt, play in 1PP only servers and promote them to others or quit playing.

By that logic, none of the environment should be seen either. Picking and choosing to please a small minority of players is not the way to solve any issue. Most of you raging about the 'exploit' don't even use 3PP, so why join a 3PP enabled server? Oh, that's right, the 1.7m players have resoundingly chosen to play with a choice of view available to them and you are 'forced' to play in 'broken' 3PP servers with the rest of us. If you can't get used to and accept the fact that you may be seen at any time anywhere in DayZ and rely on the fact you are harder to spot, then maybe this game isn't for you.

If the 1PP cry babies spent more time in game rather then spending it on the forums, maybe they would have full servers.

My mate had to clear his local files, reinstall DayZ and then BE sorted itself out and he got into and stayed on servers. Probably an easier way around it but it worked.

Tell you what, rather than just throw out generalisations, show me proof that there are 3PP enabled games that have this seamless feature. Epoch is a mod of a mod. Who cares? The key thing here, is that the player base had a choice, the fact it is a popular mod of the mod means it caters for a certain player. When and if the SA gets opened up to modders, let them and server owners implement stuff such as this. Choice is often underrated. If this 'fix' is as popular as you think it is then you have plenty of people to play with and can stop crying those lonely tears that only 'hardcore gamers' can produce.
