hmmm, so I buy the game, log in all excitedly, only to find no loot anywhere cuz people that have had a weeks head start on me have cleared the server and are now hoarding everything. So my only chance is to get lucky or spend my entire time eating berries. How about, you set your own difficulty and just not pick up that extra can of beans... -

everywhere... firestations, schools, hospitals, offices, red brick buildings, piano houses (big beige one with a green bay), police station (in Svetlojarsk) and probably many more I can't remember. Stay away from the coast and guns are in abundance. -
No, they are playing the game as they wish to play, as they are able to play due to game mechanics laid down before them. You are playing the game the way you want to play it, utilizing the very same game mechanics to suit your own brand of entertainment . The difference is, the KoS crowd couldn't care less how you play the game. If you carebear it, then its easy pickings for em, if you fight back they get some proper action.

pro tip: You can vault up stairs when you have broken legs. Having a suicide button would be abused, just as jumping from a building to 'get a better spawn point' is being abused. ... the instinct to survive is far greater than you think. Self-preservation would kick in, you find it very difficult to bite ya own tongue off and you'd probably just knock yourself out before you did enough damage with the rock. All you'd be doing is making your situation worse, without the guarantee of it being over. Your brain will shun away from such an idea.

Can we just wait till we have more stuff in game to do before we class things as broken. As many have said countless times, you gear up, run around for a bit, get bored, go and find someone to shoot, secretly hoping you get killed so you can repeat the cycle. Once we have other things to occupy our time, when losing the contents of ya backpack is the difference between getting that car working or not. when we can chill in the forests hunting and cooking, trying to stay warm and ill-free, only then can we really see if we have a problem or not. -

From what I have read the loot is apparently in game, it's just fell through the floor. The X/Y numbers are off or some shit, I dunno. In over 150 hours I have came across a LRS once, I then died an hour later... -

Could be a group bored of slow running, that had 2 primaries, that also needed space in backpacks for the next loot run. We do it all the time. Hoard like bastards then dump all the useless shit like water purification tablets and water containers (tbh you can live on waterpumps well enough to never have to take a waterbottle with you). Also stripping M4's of the buttstock and ironsight and leaving the body is another favourite of mine...

T'is the internet, always gonna be some nerdy lil bastard with way too much time on his hands... you'll never get rid of it from online games, but in 150 hours of play in SA I haven't seen anything that is suspicious or out of place.
