Source ? I'm ok for the suggestion. People want a realistic game but when we talk about the fact that irl nobody is same, people just refuse. Had a profession/background should be implemented. It should be one of many point that differ from the mod and justify buying the game 60$ You just can't go somewhere if you don't know where you come from. If people want the game to be exactly like the mod, just go play the mod and save 25$ atm :O

Hello everyone. Something that everyone see when they play the game is that every house type share the same interior and the same disposition of furniture. My suggestion is not a priority at all, but i'wanted to propose and know if it is possible to have like 3-4 or more different interior per house and randomize them at the server restart. The same way objects are randomize. With the new physics system, object will just fall on the ground/furniture at the restart server so i don't think their spawn position is a problem.

Try a new spawn in a server already looted. You're only way to stay alive is: - drink at the pond (some rare times you find a soda) - find berries (or eventually eat rotten fruit, they're not always make you seek ) And kill zombies with your hand (or a can opener, wrench, hammer. Only findable weapons) It was so good for me to stay alive in these conditions. I was so close to die by starving, berries aren't so common ^^ and my chars was like an old boxer like rocky Run away from Z, not for me.

Not everyone will choose the soldier (me for exemple, i prefer to be a medic, archer, hunter, civilian or whatever). In any mmo, every people don't choose to be the warrior, some like me prefer the archer, and some others prefer medic/priest in first choice etc... (i know that we are not in a medieval game, just an example) and in a game like dayz. Be a soldier will not be preferable especially if Z are attracted by gunshots in a world where ammo/guns will be less present.

The "lore" of Dayz is probably also due to the limitation of the arma zombies's AI based on the soldier AI (who run fast and zig zag to dodge bullets). Remember that they cannot slow them so it was preferable to tell "they are infected like 28 days later" instead of tell us "they are undead but they run fast..." Anyway, if the "lore" don't change, i read somewhere that it will be possible to create mod for the standalone like Epoch, Origin, etc... so it's possible to see in the future some mods based on a "walking dead" experience, with slow Z, team based content and interaction, etc.. PC's community can do a lot of things to enhance their favorite games (just take a look at the elder scrolls/fallout series)

Don't put your restricted area into my face ! I just want to rush airstrips for military loot and shoot shoot shoot on everybody as fast as i can !!! This is Dayz, This is the biggest pvp game !! ho wait :| Sorry for the troll :P but i like the idea. I see a documentary a little time ago on what will happen on earth if human suddenly disappeared (same things will happen if everybody die by a virus) A lot of area will be very dangerous (especially near nuclear central and every zone where bio-hazard chemicals are stored) cause they need regular attention to stay conditioned. for people who want to see it (it's in french) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYHEYWqGBf8 for people who don't speak french, go at 24:50

great suggestions, you can also add the same system as NMIH and state of decay: - use your melee weapon too much repeatedly decrease an hidden stamina bar ( 0 = can't perform melee attack, you need to breath some sec) - perform a melee attack when you need to breath (after a long run or something else) reduce the power of your hit until you take your breath. - attack can be 3 time more powerful than regular when performed in stealth mod. I think you can kill a Z with a knife if you hit his head in, a baseball bat will instead knock him down but wont kill him instantly. (not sure if it's the right thread for this idea) for now, there's no difficulty for the pve and survival part. Add more zombies don't seems to give more challenge.

I know they have a lot of work before starting to make things like that. But it's not because you have a skill tree the game will become less mature or more mmorpg style -_-". If your character become different with time passed, you'll gonna prefer he live instead of he die. Something i've found when testing the game is that it's easy to kill yourself and start a new character, get back your equipment where you leave it and continue your way. If your character become more able with time, mature player and all others will prefer thier character live instead of get back to 0. The game is not about just get stuff and kill people/zombie. It's an experience of life in a survival world. -

I'm agree with the skill tree, but it should be adaptive to your play style and not intrusive. So no visualisation of it. You only know it because your character need/resist more or less of something after a long training or situations. For example, in resident evil 3, more you create bullets, less jill need ingredients in quantity for them. (This is just an example but it can be applied for other things like cold/food/stealth (noise area)/ etc...)
