i agree, i just brought the opposite extreme of tanks in some rare cases of groups of about 20 or so people are constantly helping out. i would say the reason for a tank would be to just have a artillery/wall you can move up to bases with -

i like all the above, but for all those who are organized, and are able to work together to achieve a goal, should be rewarded, so if you take good care of yourself, and avoid getting wet, change your socks often, and pour a bit of alcohol on open wounds and add stitches, (which should be stuff you find only if you work with a team effort, otherwise your stuck with rags, and old beer to clean wounds) Stealing medical supplise, having mass raids on cities, and bringing it under martial law (only if your an organized group you can do some of these things) would you be able to hit the top of the top, and eventually form government. my goal id like to see in dayz: become well known for being a warlord on a server, leading my clan and working together, people who rebel die, and people who listen are rewarded, and can join our ranks, and share our ultimate goal. sounds pretty badass doesn't it? -

i can understand your last point, but i wouldn't use a heli for transport (unless doing a big drop off/ pick up) but i would use it tactically, finding enemy locations, flying over and finding locations of enemys and such. -

I would vouch that they should make helicopter flying extremely difficult, (so much so that you would actually need to add a guy to your group if they knew how to fly one) , would make RP very cool, searching for a pilot, or searching for someone who's trained in using heavy mounted weapons, otherwise you might ruin it it some sort of way (not preparing it correctly and blowing yourself up, with the vehicle) I would like to put emphasis on "organized group". Meaning, nor your average joe squad of 3 or so, people who work together correctly, and have trained themselves,id like to put out an example: the Governor from TWD, at first he was a normal guy, and eventually be became how he is in the show, and organized group with a common goal can achieve a lot, even through corruption. -

read the post: i said it should take weeks to get a functional military vehicle, and if poeple want to play with it as "other bro military shooter.", they'll die to a player who is much better then them, and they'll loose their week's worth of gear in 2 minutes. -

Id also like to add on to that risking your life so many times, you'll eventually get killed by the bigger and badder murderer/"bandit". But the only way we can get that goal you said (which i would love dayz to get to) is if they add private shards, and communities that get built on them. You'll have the notorious "blood mist" sniper of Electro, who instills fear over the city, the slave traders of Zelenogorsk, who have the city walled up and take unsuspecting people hostage and trade them for supplies, Vince the vehicle trader who travels around with his caravan of folks to trade parts and finished vehicles. You'd be able to make a story out of what you do, and that (above) is just a glimpse of what could be done.

i had a case where me and another guy shot eachother in the chest same 7.62 round, i died, and i heard him bandaging about 5 seconds later on the black screen. this is very annoying because it gives me the reason to now go on a persistent server, drop some stuff, then kill myself, and go back to my stuff totally fit. because it will help me win a gun fight. -

but its a very low number to DIE from, i agree with you, but a zombie "punching" you over a 50 hour period 50 times shouldn't = death i've also seen people instantly die after a couple hours of not being attacked, to 1 zombie attack. -

this bug sucks, it is alpha, but it puts you in a huge disadvantage, so you can have a fight with someone with a gun, and the person who got hit less with zombies will win the fight, (a fresh spawn with a gun will be the most powerful fighter you meet) -
The only benefit i see from this is for RP, killing someone for their meat and feeding it to unsuspecting people secretly, or having hostages and throwing a chunk of human meat at them and saying " This will be you if you dont listen to us!" Only benefit - RP And that includes eating a person in order to survive. ALSO a fact to bring up, the zombies arent dead, they are infected humans, if we become cannibals, we are just as soon as the infect. I can imagine telling ti a guy : I can offer you the chance to survive, but all you have to do is feed. My final thoughts : add cannibalism , as long as their is a negative to doing so, its not just reward, you will be sick(shivers), or get Kuru. Kuru causes physiological as well as neurological effects that ultimately lead to death. It was endemic among the Fore tribe of Papua New Guinea and was confined to the Fore population and those nearby populations with whom they intermarried. It is characterized by truncal ataxia, preceded by headaches, joint pains and shaking of the limbs. i think it would be cool if they add basements, that would eb were lone wolves would make base, and the bigger, organized groups would be the ones who are able to work together and make military vehicles, and take over big areas of land (if big enough of a group, a city block)

i think being social should be enough of a reward, being social you can gain things from others. on the other hand killing people you see (anti-social) and be unrewarding, or rewarding, if he has friends or not. dont force effects on other players, the effect should be real, just like in a fight in dayz your heart pumps, or you feel bad for killing your friend by accident, you dont need a fake emotion bar to tell you that.

theres almost no use for that idea, the only use is setting up a trap for some random guy to walk into in hours, and getting a kill. again this doesnt help the game at all, because if that were the base in real life you could just dig a hole about 5 meters away from the watersouces, and let the water go through the ground and collect , drink that, no feces.

if those problems happen, then just put "sick status" you dont have to add a visual.

i honestly hope your joking, because this would serve ACTUALLY no purpose other then "realism" what happens when your in a firefight... "i really have to go!" and you start taking a dump in the middle of a fight.

Steps: 1. spawn 2. get a gun 3. kill someone with high gear 4. start collecting X number of low to medium geared players(depending on the size of your personal group), and make them your hostages 5. fun ensues play games with the hostages, have them preform simple tasks like "go out and get me a stick", or something of that sort, and keep them stimulated, a hostage will probably just try to rambo you if he is bored,and you keep him in the dark for too long on a situation. -

ok... your tents can be stolen from, and you can have a sneaky guy start stealing bits and pieces from your tent without you noticing, you have to run for possibly an hour, depending if you put your tent in a GOOD spot,get your gear back, then you jsut like another hour of looting for all that stuff you jsut lost, and now this is just another set you had. if you really want to complain about people getting gear easy, its already easy ENOUGH to get, bereazino, headshot some random guy with random gun you found, INSTANTLY all the items you want. after 10 minutes from spawning. -
i use the AK101, because i DON'T think the drum mags are necessary as some, and also its much more accurate, and faster bullet 5.56 then the akm rounds 7.62x39. t this state, the disgusting thing is you have a bunch of people running around in dayz with like 5 drum mags, and like 3 boxes of rounds for their akm, which is awful, because it shows they expect to be missing A LOT :D, which is nice for us shooters who can take them out with a damn pistol at times.

well... dont give ammo to a guy you met 1 minute ago... before you even trust a person you should be with them for more then half an hour. and the only time i should really break the rules above is if its for a really slow fire weapon, or if i can easily out-shoot him without a problem, example: guy with mosin, no attachments, talked to him for 10 or so minutes, asks for ammo, ill give him like 2 rounds to use, i wont give him like 40, just 2, enough to kill a person who isn't expecting it (you should be expecting it) become the leader of the situation, not the used person. -
no wonder your a hermit, you probably kill anyone who's within 50m of you. if not, good on you, usually people say "when i feel threatened" it means exactly what i said, a person 50,100, 500 meters away from you.
