I love the Rust forums because a LOT of hackers get on and whine they were banned for no reason. That community is FULL of online detectives who link the OP of those threads to an admitted hacker on a hack site through all times of sorcery (not just someone being stupid and using the same user name on the hack site that they use for Steam)

Then we should have key binds to regulate heart beat, and breathing, and peeing AND needing to shake your dick or else you get a little pee in your undies!" as a way to dismiss your point. As others have said, being a hero is hard. Being a KOSer is easy. It should remain this way. It's easier to just blast someone in the back if the head and steal their loot, as opposed to taking a risk and inviting them into teamwork. People crying for armbands want KOS play style, they just want to feel morally superior while doing it. Besides, the armband system will encourage more PvP, not less because people with bandit armbands will always be KOS'd and in turn, bandits will always be forced to KOS. Believe it not, not everyone who KOS's does it 100% of the time. I'm a good example. If you really want red vs. blue PVP action, go play 1 of the million other squad based shooters. Leave DayZ to be what it's supposed to be. I'd rather people left this game rather than splinter this community with their "mil-sim centric" servers. -
You can find almost any weapon in any country. Remember, Chenarus had a civil war going on and the US Marines got involved. Add in a pandemic and you get other peace keeping nations involved.It's also a backwater Eastern bloc country, so I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of gun running wasn't happeninflg there.

There are a lot of documented cases of people being repeatedly shot with M16's and running away and living to fight another day. And I'm not talking about doped up Afghsnis who took handfuls of meth and pain killers before engagements in Fallujah. All available data for hydrostatic shock is highly conflicting and thus unreliable.

Desync doesn't cause a Mosin or Shotgun to have 90 round mags that can be dumped in 4 seconds. -

You sure? Was this confirmed? The current bug has nothing to do with physics. The reason bullets hit terrain when looking up / down hills is because the hills in this game aren't modeled as an actual slope, but are actually stairs; basically blocks like a hill you would make out of legos. The way they are visually represented isn't how you interact with them, but the invisible "edges" still catch rounds. It's obnoxious -
That's why they need to have more guns that don't share ammo types. That way maybe only one box of ammo for your particular gun spawns.

This game and it's concepts may be a little too high minded for you, considering not only what you posted, but how you posted. I don't normally say "Go back to COD", but your tone is exactly what I hear over my headset from teens on XBL.

Lately I've been hunting bambi killers. I'm no hero. Any bambi I save will be shot if they don't do as I say, as in "don't loot that body until I'm gone" or "stay at least ten meters from me". I wiped out two groups of 4+ KOSers the other day, alone. No, I'm no FPS god or super tactician; no, these guys were HORRIBLE. They had shot around 11 bambis and each one took their whole group. They couldn't shoot for shit. I had watched them for a good 30 minutes to make sure I knew how many there were and their positons. As soon as I shot at them, both groups, immediately scattered into positions that were easier for me to hit. They sometimes tried to flank me but always in the open. It was sad that 1 person managed to take out 11 people in a few hours with only sustaining a few scratches. Later that night a team of 3 really outplayed and killed me in Balota. I killed 1 of them with a lucky CQB mosin face shot, but I didn't really earn that kill as it was a panic click when they turned the corner on me.

I understand, don't worry. I agree too! I want roving hoards that are indeed a threat. My issue is that tthe current zombies are the biggest threat when you're trying to log out, or you're being stalked by a team of asshole KOSers. This is because they love to aggro randomly. I had a guy fire on me with his three buddies. All of the sudden 2 zeds clipped through a shed I was hiding in and proceeded to attack ME, despite those guys being the ones that fired (I had been very quite, and crawling slow). Again, with the game being a work in progress a lot of BS will happen. The only thing we complain about is the feeling that the team is only making one issue worse by including more features into a broken mechanic. -
More guns = good, especially if ammo types aren't compatible. It means if they don't up the spawn rates of guns, it will be much harder to find matching guns to ammo, and thus less instances of people having 100+ rounds. Also, rifle rounds towards the center of the torso should always be very debilitating and quite possibly lethal. The only sharpshooters trained to aim for the head are police, and those shots are usually under 100 meters with precision rifles, and the target is stationary. It's highly inadvisable to aim for the head in engagements. It's a small target and a few inches off will result in a total miss, as opposed to aiming for the heart and still achieving a lung shot, or some other vital organ.

Just to clarify to make sure there is no confusion with terms. Glitching and exploits are what you are describing. It's utilizing and unintended feature built into the game, such as clipping through the environment. Hacking is creating or downloading a script or trainer that edits the actual game, causing you to have an unfair advantage such as god mode, ESP, item spawning and teleporting. You can get in troubling for exploiting glitches and bugs, but it's usually not a super serious punishment for first time offenders. Hacking will get you perma banned and rightfully so.

What if guns were busted because hit boxes and damage were wildly broken? What if every bullet was a OHKO as long as you were sorta aiming in their general direction? Would you rather they fixed this OR suddenly increased gun and ammo spawn rate? The latter would surely cause a lot of distress to even the most diehard fans. -

While this is wildly off topic, the use of the word "rape" in gaming culture to convey 1337 pwnage has been a real uphill battle. Telling someone not to do something, online, generally results in its usage 100x more. It doesn't matter how sound your arguments is, or how politely you convey it, because the prevailing attitude is "you can't tell me what to do". Calling them a shitbox usually doesn't get the desired outcome. -

They also aggro you when you don't move, open food, go prone or try to log out. I've run through Elektro in front of zeds and they don't move. Other times I'll be in a building basically AFK talking to someone on the phone. I don't move an inch for 5 minutes. Then all of the sudden 3 zombies wall hack and rush me and I have to scramble to move. There is no reliable way to tell when a zed aggroes or not, or from what distance. -
Please read all the responses and / or look up the topic before adding more panic to this issue. It's only painted SKS's and it's a bug.

The alpha early access was a good business decision, but it's terrible for my mental health. Reading some of the threads people make causes me emotional anguish. I'm no genuis, but I am baffled by the drivel that people post. As for the OP, this game hates certain PC configurations. Sometimes they add in something to "optimize" and it backfires. Aftet last patch my friend had to roll back his Nvidia drivers because his game crashed 15 seconds after being in game.

They respawned in the mod and it worked great. No one has a problem with the mechanic, in and of itself. You're just s giant hater who I believe is somehow involved with Infestation. For a game you hate, you spend an AWFUL lot of your time on these forums trying to convince people not to play. -

I normally don't disagree with you Caboose, but I feel you're missing the point of the annoyance from people such as Irish. No one cares if a mechanic is broken if it's a known issue and being worked on. The problem is they added in a feature that exacerbates the issue in question. It's like building a car and knowing that there is a major problem with the brakes, so you decide to implement a higher top speed and then wonder why all your testers are a little annoyed when they're crashing everywhere. Zombies are broken. Utterly broken, and we have to deal with it until they figure out how to fix them. The answer, however, was not to make them start materializing 2 feet from players every 10 seconds. The feedback we're giving is "respawn isn't working as intended" followed by "respawning hordes of zombies is stupid if they don't even work right" -
Unless they changed the shotty recently, the gun is garbage. I've been hit a LOT of times with the shotty, some as close as 2 meters, and not once have I died. I was wounded and one time it broke my arm, but it never stopped me from killing them with any other weapon, ranging from my fists to an M4 and everything inbetween. I snuck up on a guy looting my friend and planted 2 shells right into his back. He got up and ran away while trying to pull his gun while I reloaded. That was the last time I carried that thing.
