BC2 is awesome but not many servers anymore it seems. I miss BF2 :(

I'd rather not get in the habit of using the random nasty water on the side of the road, I only drink from fountains and bottles. I've never been sniped at a fountain that I can think of but, my character most stays hydrated and only refill canteens at far off villages.

Since I live in the Green Mountain state, I like to call green mountain my home :) and if/once we have persistant bases hope to have one there and maybe a Green Mountain Boys clan :)

I saw one server saying it was experimental and that characters would not be saved. It was on the stable branch :p

Yeah obviously you guys can't tell us much since it would spoil everything. My big thing would be bases. We know there are plans for them but, wondering if we could say lock down green mountain as a base on a server or something like that? and have it be persistent in that server. I'd love to have one server where I can call home, build and survive with my friends.

I never give guns to unknown players. I once had a guy give me 10 rounds for the blaster. he immediately told me if he heard loading sounds he would not hesitate to shoot me. I just waited to load it until he was gone :) But yeah, real life friends or friends of friends are the only ones who get guns from me. If I don't know you there is no way I will give you a gun and very unlikely I will give you a weapon of any sort. I may show you were an axe is but by the time you pick it up I'm gone.

Yeah, I just try to stick to the same few servers. I think I have 4 favorites.

If I'm in military gear mode like I am this week, I truck around there a lot. PS I find walkietalkies in firestations. Got killed looking for one in elektro the other day :( But was able to find one there today!

I do think they could adjust the zeds a bit. I seem to be bleeding 9 out of 10 hits again like a few patches ago. and the state of the experimental servers being packed full most of the time, it's hard to find much of anything even inland. My first time on the experimentals I had gone through my spawn tshirt rags within 10 minutes. Yes I know I have to adjust my play style to not just run without a care for anything except players.

Yeah I've had this happen. Came down the stairs in a piano building in Berizino to two guys with shottys. They yelled friendly (I had my sks out) so I waved said hi and said I'd leave. I went out the door and they shot me in the back. didn't kill me, I was able to take one out while crippled.

I encountered this on an unpainted SKS today.

I'd say about 70% of mine are. I had a nice run in with two guys on the exp servers today. I was in the med clinic with shotty with no shells, had two guys with sks's walk in on me. They both yelled friendly while trying to fend of zeds. I gave them a saline bag as I had just found two there. They gave me a couple cans of beans since I couldn't find any friggen food on that server. I thanked them for not shooting (of course they never knew I had no shells) and then I was on my way :) to the OP, I've tried far too many times to do the unarmed Hi guys encounter. atleast they tried to hold you up instead of just shooting.

So how far out into it can you go?

They are quite legal in most of the US. My dad loves his SKS has it adjusted to take 30round mags. Great for shooting Coyotes getting close to the cows and also taking down deer. I own a Egyptian Maddi AKM ;) I like the ease of use adn tht its more light weight than the sks. Going to get a 74 soon, I love the 5.45.

seriously experimental branch Zombies are friggen killers. also, I have found holding shift to make sure I am walking and just move lots around if fighting multiple Zeds in the streets.

You cannot host your own server from your own computer for standalone. period. end of story. search the forums and check out the server section. it's pretty clear in the Server Rules thread...

If you shoot on sight why do you do it? I don't can you explain to me why you are not bad at the game if you shoot on sight? Some of em got good aim! :p But no, there isn't a ton to do right now so the more I play this game the less I really care if I get shot. What is your opinion on people who shoot on sight? Meh. whatever floats your boat. Just wish you'd talk and find out I really don't care to do anything to you and usually am just looking to go right on by you. Do you think they are just pure douche bags that ruin your DayZ experience? The first few times, yes I did. Now I know they most likely are either newer and get scared or just bored. Should they be ashamed of themselves? No.

I agree with you that you do really have to judge a person on their movement/voice if they don't start shooting immediately. I think the other guys and my biggest problem was that you are forcing people to interact and then possibly killing them for maybe being shy or scared and not doing as you order. Just sort of comes off as a power trip sounding thing. I understand not everyone in the game is nice, and i don't expect them to be. It would ruin the core feel of the game if you could just trust everyone. Oh and if they give me a reason to want my character to survive, by all means I'll go along with your robbery. But at this point in the game really all I'm losing is an hour or two of looting since I gave up on bothering with military gear a while ago.
