I've tried it, and all it does is get me killed. The amount of times I've heard "Yeah, I'm friendly" followed by the black screen and three words we all love I've decided "fuck it." What's the point as a solo player (None of my mates are interested in the game. they're happier with CoD/BF) trying to be friendly when all it does it get me killed again, and again, and again. Not saying that I'm going full-on KoS now, but I'm trusting my gun/axe more than most players from now on.

The press vest still exists, I found one today in a train station, and as soon as I filled it up with beans got shot! I swear, bandits seem to have a "bean sense" or something.

Calm down, you would've lost your gear to a KoSer eventually anyway. The devs are working on it, and remember! The game's in al.... is a work in progress! *cough*

Hey Rocket (I know, i know, chances are that this post'll be missed by you in lieu of much more important thigs) First off let me say "Sorry" On behalf of the angrier, more ungrateful players. Despite the fact you and others have made it quite clear that the game's not finished and will break from time to time (How many warnings on Steam/boot up? :P) they will always complain about something. I, however, would just like to say "Thank you". the game's amazing even at this unfinished stage, and some of the bugs make it even more fun to play! So thank you! Keep marching on and doing what you guys do best. If this is what alpha has to offer, I honestly can't wait for what's still to come :)

So to let me clarify - Because you paid for early access it gives you unlimited rights to bitch and moan because it doesn't work for you? On an unrelated note, it seems like a few more servers are a little less character-wipe-y. Good work on the damage control guys! I for one don't mind. I die that frequently that I'm used to being a freshspawn xD

this happened a few days ago, but with how busy I've been I never got a chance to say thanks - sadly i've forgotten the player's name but I'm going to give props regardless! I'd been jumped by a couple of bandits when passing through Electro, had taken a bullet and was bleeding out. At this time I was only a freshspawn and the server had just rebooted. After using the one lousy rag my t-shirt gave me i had gotten jumped by a zombie I'd not noticed when I settled to patch up. So, beaten, bruised and bleeding out I headed down the road to Prigo in the hopes it'd be somewhat quiet and zombie-free. Along the road blood loss finally hit and everything was starting to look a little hazy. At this point i had nothing left to lose and was sprinting along the road like all those freshies that had died before me when out of nowhere another player appeared out of the undergrowth. We went through the usual motions, he confirmed he was friendly and cuffed me quickly. Asking what happened he patched up my wounds and pumped me full of saline. Asking if I needed a hand or was headed to meet someone I explained i was playing solo and just trying to get out of dodge. It turns out he was headed to the SW military base to meet up with his team, and offered to let me tag along as far as Balota, where I had a nice little haul of gear. So to whoever you are - Thank you! That was the first positive player interaction I've had in the game, and will likely be one of the most memorable ones!

so how many of us will be using it as an excuse to scream "Get to da choppaaa!!" at the top of our lungs? :P

Correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't a baseball bat/sledgehammer/wrench to the back of the head "less lethal" at least? I mean sure, there'll be some blunt-force trauma and one -hell- of a headache. But still. What doesn't kill you....
