    My first Day in DayZ

Hello all, I'm a recently new player of DayZ standalone and thus far, the game has exceeded my exceptions. This was a pleasant surprise for me as I had played the mod and honestly felt it lacking. I started the game and was alone on the beach of course, I was already parched so I decided to loot the surronding houses with the hope that they hadn't already been ransacked. To my luck, I found a crowbar and some soda's and a can of sardines. I left the area and moved further north after hearing some explosions going off in the town and decided that whatever was causing those...I didn't wanna meet. After heading north, I took a sideroad onto a beated path and started heading for what I thought was east when suddenly I heard someone say "Hey bud". I turned to look and see no less than 7 armed men aiming at me with rifles, needless to say I didn't put up a fight. They handcuffed me saying it was for their own precaution and asked me what I was doing running along the trail, they seemed like decent guys however and let me go and offered to escort me to a ship that had better loot. I lost those guys around the boat and went on my way to another town when I met another survivor, I asked if he was friendly and we agreed to team up and help each other out, his name was Doc. After leaving the town Doc was shot by an unknown sniper, he was bleeding badly and I had a set of pristine bandages. This is where I had a choice to make, kill Doc and take his nice gear(backpack, rifle, tons of food/can opener, Meds, etc) or patch him up. I decided that I wanted a trustworthy teammate and that I didn't want to kill someone that could have shot me on sight but opted not to and I patched Doc up. He thanked me for saving his life and we moved onward towards the woods until I lagged from the server. TL:DR, I had a great time playing this game, very tensed entertaining 2 hrs and 30 bucks already well spent, can't wait until this is fully completed.
