I think Rocket and the team should have just deleted all the tents and not given anyone a heads up. This IS an alpha test. Boy I cant wait to see the reaction when Rocket tells you all he is wiping every player character and doing a full reset on the master server...

Will edit this post with results EDIT: Did not work. I also tried running S-E in the plains but ran out of food and water and ended up just suiciding. After suicide I spawned in like normal, and was promptly chased by zombies.

Track IR making people sick??? Thats the first time I've EVER heard that. I purchased my Track IR for the sole puropose of using it in Arma/Arma2. Awesome using it in vehicles, on foot the ALT key works fine too.

You can ditch zombies by getting on a dock or pier. They WILL stop following you after a couple minutes of not being able to reach you.

YES Make it random, dont ALWAYS spawn without a gun. You said yourself not everybody owns a handgun.

Just wanted to say thank you for devoting so much of your valuable time to create such a wonderful mod. I cant wait to see what is in store for us players (alpha testers) in the future. Keep up the good work. I have enjoyed DayZ more than any game purchase I've made in the past 10 years.

I'd like to be able to harvest the pumpkins you see growing on some farms. Too bad they are only static scenery.

1. Make backpacks removable and save-able like tents. I'd love to fill my bag and stash it in the treeline and then go raid the military tents without it dissaperaing. Anybody remember that scene from Saving Private Ryan where they remove all their gear before storming the machine gun nest? They didnt do it for fun.
