As you said - Well, now that I had a powerful axe and a weapon, I could just kill everyone that tries to kill me! Apparently not :) There is no reasoning behind it and has nothing to do with difference in gear. Snappy salute, see you around.

It is a good tactic overall, sometimes might go wrong, and whomever left it badly concealed will learn. Use the tactic to your advantage, especially if you know the server restart cycles. Leave it concealed at a safe distance, go in. IF the worst happens at least you might be lucky enough to spawn close by. Gratz on your finding.

3PP you can rambo more easy than 1PP, especially with the M4. Spray and pray :) 1PP you are way more accurate from the waist. 3PP you have a definite spotting benefit while keeping in cover. 1PP you have to pay attention with no angles around and over obstacles. 3PP is definitely more action packed, more cinematic to a degree. Teamwork works on both, but shines way more on 1PP. Fire fights are perhaps more durable but the casualties difference tell a big story. A good tac team seldom has casualties even against equal numbers or against the odds. I like both, but favour 1PP for myself. Have a perfect hardware and camera angles to make use of it to the fullest.

Using pliers and hammers and knives with other equipment so to have the option to render them "ruined". Like taking off pieces and bits of a gun so it gets deactivated, or smashing the barrel of a shotgun and also using the knives to cut clothes and jackets and vest to ribbons.

Tools will be used to FIX things. They may as well be used to BREAK things. And I like how all suggestions usually bring out the most apocalyptic scenarios in our minds - it makes me happy.

Damn, i don't mind at all. Small health quirks can add a bit to the characterization ... IF one survives long enough. Same with hair and beard and mustache. Can finally go tuberculosis and keep playing Doc HollidayZ

What is KoS ? A way to make sure you don't get in my way. Granted I could just say - "Don't you dare touch that can of peaches !!! " - but then you'd go to another house and i'd have to shout - " leave that frying pan right where it belongs !!! " You see... Maybe I KoS just because I role play a character as much as you role play yours. I know others do it for sport ( fine as well ). ( sometimes I actually help wanderers, go wonder... i must be going insane !!! )

I like your last paragraph. Sums it up well - "nothing is set in stone". We are given the tools to make Chernarus whatever we want, the way we want, and if necessary remove the ones interfering... for a while. I am glad the mechanics are there for anyone to use, but as a group the efficiency is exponentially multiplied. In the end, the "DayZ experiment" is a perfect example of how a group wins over the individual.

The main issue about KoS, that you should meditate about, is: - What am I going to do about it with the mechanics we have in game, right now ? Basing your present and future gameplay on the premises that "something" should be done is a no go. Plus a KoS is simply another survivor making sure he doesn't want any interference from unknown characters in his control zone. This can be 10m distance or an entire town section. Take your pick. ESPECIALLY on hotspots like airfields, big towns, military compounds - it is a "poker" game. You either are in for a hand or you sit out and get away. 225 square km should keep you safe, well fed and healthy forever. This being said I wish as many threads were made for the survivors that were well treated and aided to counter weight the KoS threads. -

Why would the devs HURT any player ? Makes no sense. DEVS have only to create mechanics, add content, provide depth; that ensures the Survivors can create their vision of the apocalyptic life DayZ offers. With all things good and bad. -

Hope they introduce decaying over time of stuff, especially if open to elements like rain, cold, etc. But all in all I am not against it and pretty much I am anxious for it to happen. -

I am all for it. Balance wise I would limit it to 1 stash per player. Else I will make sure to spend 1 full week leaving a 100 backpacks everywhere in the map so I will never ever have to scavenge again for anything but guns. And yeah, pretty easy to drop there anywhere and they will never be found. I'd bet a middle finger that it will be server side, not entire hive, but we will have to wait. In all scenarios the possibility to hide stashes will defeat the purpose of timeout hopping. -

You get the rubber band and bad sync condition WHEN someone with really bad connection tries to get into server. It will affect everyone for a while until that person connection go timeout and then everything go well again. Happens both in stable and experimental. Next time it happens pay attention to the player list, there will be someone connecting, or someone with 10k desync. ONLY when it is your connection ( check your desync value ) can you go through all that firewall, ports, etc -
