New Health stuff actually is not that complicated... and makes it IMPERATIVE to have a dedicated Doc on a group for sure. Each man may carry the essential first aid stuff, but a dedicated medic is essential after all the disease, infection, and trauma are properly introduced. Some of the "dispensable" stuff like taking craps or marking trees with beer leftovers are just that.... dispensable. Add absolutely nothing positive and not worth the time to implement. -

There are only survivors. The rest is just a by product. You can run away and survive, stay away and survive, or kill and survive. And remember, smooch talk can be used as a trick as well, and is quite funny as well. -
Not many go to that base for several reasons: 1. They can gear up in other more close by areas. 2. The layout there is not really friendly to control unless you have 3 double teams, and even so you might get jumped easy. Also, albeit the base perimeter being so close to the damn roads, many folks go through the collection of building in the crossroads without paying attention or even caring. Saw a few singles and doubles yesterday on experimental branch hardcore, 45/50 server... not a single one went our way while our scavengers checked the place. But when the Stable branch is updated you bet every single square mile with loot will be scavenged. You see... no more duping... guns get rare, ammo even more after a while. Loving it.

Hunting the unfortunate survivor is good game. Hunting the trapped sniper is good sport. But I guess we all can bring a out-of-the-box idea of a game to be played, within your group or with other. Given some ideas may or may be not feasible to be done, eventually a board for these type of events can be created, something along the lines of - Player Made Events ( mods please ? ) Blood Sports involves everything that is cool and bad in DayZ. It can be something like the Running Man or simply put the Gas Station chicken game. Can we create more interesting "sports" in DayZ using only what we have implemented ? Present ideas and let's brainstorm a bit. -

True. Thing is, we can really twist it way more and make it more eventful. But yes, I agree, community stuff isn't for all and I personally respect that. -

Elektro has it already dead center of town. Experimental hive though. Stable has to wait. Also medical centers - similar to the blue one in Svet will also be added.

Always nice to see this kind of events. Next time make a "Peace Walk BBQ" and have everyone bring food and drinks and setup a camp fair near the church... start a trade fair :D

At that distance and environment you'd do way better with a SKS, a Magnum or a Shotgun. But to each its own, I like to see Mosin Junkies showing their business.

Make your own safe zone, holy ground. Ask your buddies to provide cover. Kill on sight anyone non involved that moves into the area. Successful trade. How hard is that ? Ain't no Rocket science ;) And guess what ? Is already in game. All up to you to USE IT.

Scenario: Big city. Big house. Big group inside. Doing their stuff, whoever knows what. Doors closed. Bambi goes up to the door and opens it. BAM. drops dead. More bambies and half equipped players see the scene and think it is proper to continue to interrupt the armed guys inside. Then they blame KoS and give the guys inside the house a hard ( funny as hell ) time through local comms... seriously...why did you kept going into the house after the first casualties there... :) If this system would be implemented that group of players inside would have been split ( no one wants that ) in their way of playing. Also it seems the guys trying to rush the house were more intent on KoS that the guys inside that big house. Yeah... how the hell you make a system that makes a fair judgement ? :) Have fun and think before you act. Death is inevitable in DayZ, but you may well choose the way you go down. -

Autumns can be rainy as hell in Chernarus and similar climates. Plus on the experimental hive we are even more subject to random testing than the stable crowd. The amount of random restarts yesterday made me smile; given that in all the restarts all the information is processed for bug hunting, code optimization and everything else the devs need to make the experience better to everyone. -

Nice story man. Same happened to us yesterday, experimental hardcore, bunked up against a mob. Result; too many kills versus 1 friendly fire casualty. Then... server restart. Climax of the situation was lost... momentum evaporated. DayZ session for the evening was over. I reckon experimental is random restarts, but many stable hive server just have the restart cycles too short ( maybe to ensure loot aplenty) which is just a PITA. -
Travel light. Get used to it. Encumbrance will come. Bad habits make for headaches. One alone cannot cover all scenarios IF one doesn't carry a huge mountain / hunter pack, but a team can cover most scenarios with multiple courier bags or makeshift packs. There is food everywhere and even if there isn't then we make sure someone will donate food for the 'cause.

IIRC on the experimental branch after server restarts the doors might be open or closed, but doesn't seem that consistent to be honest. For example, Berezino Heights ( T34 plaza ) after a server restart, I think it was the US 0-2 hardcore, experimental hive, a half dozen doors were open already while the rest was shut. There was no one around, our team was making sure of that, And I am all for it. Spices up the feeling when moving into town :)

Zomboids can and will attack through floors and stairways. It is not intended obviously but we have to endure it for the time being.
