Good to know. Do we need to have a pen or is just that simple ?

Adjust your head for a better experience.

Thanks, good read. I think the controls can be refined. Sometimes the overuse of leans and twitches in the code skeleton provokes some awry unrealistic moves. I would compare it to the flight simulators when they try to reinvent the wheel and code in independent arms for cockpit control sides... idea is good, but they mess up the implementation. On the basis we have the movement okay and needs refinement. Guns and projectiles are somewhat acceptable at this point, but I am with you. Credibility on the gameplay gives us a virtual sensation of reality counterpart. Good read man. -
Adding risk to "Bandit" play style and other suggestions.
Hethwill_Khan replied to xb4da55x@gmail.com's topic in Suggestions
DayZ is all about the ride, not the destination. Plus, beware staring into the bandit issue too much...as they say... the longer you star into the dark... More, you have some interesting mechanics suggestions but in the context you put them in they lose the wanted "suggestion spotlight". One example is the "delay" when taking something out of your backpack or simply your shirt chest pocket. DayZ is all about the ride, not the destination. Stop wanting to label players. -
Well played sir. Indeed, awesome job there.

Some infected types should climb stairs. The more deeply infected, shamblers, should not. Ladders ? nope. Requires coordination that the disease melted away from their brains.

Will Preventing Server-Hopping Increase Kos?

Will Preventing Server-Hopping Increase Kos?
Hethwill_Khan replied to Grimey Rick's topic in General Discussion
Given the hardcore hoppers will spend more time chasing loot...in 1 server... loot that other players carry... players that need to die... or volunteer to give them the stuff... It will become more difficult for them, more intense for everyone, more fun and tense situations. There is no problem with KoS. Real problem exists with hopping and combat logging. -

Find Players - Where they are?
Hethwill_Khan replied to ThreeFailingPros's topic in New Player Discussion
You will find a lot of survivalist bushwhacker and crazed jayhawker types in the wilderness just exploring the map. Had good encounters up North ( where the new building areas are marked and up to the Pass ) A lot is saying a lot, but primarily go to full servers. Fun is always everywhere. -
Starving to death very quickly on experimental branch

3 weeks with normal activity, not as the marathon man all the time as we have, mind you. Plus the decrease of activity over time is exponential. IIRC dayz "model scale" is aproximate 1:4. A marathon can be done, at extreme, 42km in 2h, that means jogging 30 mins in game would lead you to extreme dehydratation plus nutrient exhaustion considering a healthy figure, a very fit one. We are jogging for 2 hours with 30kg of gear with very few issues. It is a game and extremes are not needed at either end, glad they reviewed and hotfixed. No extremes in sprinting forever nor starving in the short run. Balance :) -

As has been stated: - Terrain use - watch from afar before moving in - be decisive when acting - take all situations, good and less god, with good spirit / fun - social skills; karma has ways -
Chernarus Survivor Census - the CSC
Hethwill_Khan replied to Survivor_Sabre's topic in General Discussion
The only difficult question is the first one, especially for older folk with jobs, family to tend, kids and so on. Of course we play with the gang, but other we just along with the flow and whomever is online. If none we try to find just anyone. It is more of a "per session" choice. -
The Chernarussian Movement of the Red Star ( basically anyone with that military beret ;) ) condones the action of the mayor. His true intention are hidden under a veil, but the single mention to the need of a Bishop means he wants to return to the feudal systems.

Starving to death very quickly on experimental branch
Hethwill_Khan replied to Rancor's topic in General Discussion
Sorry to disagree, but went all across the map, from NE airfield, jogging and sprinting, through all the N end, up to the pass, and then south on my way to the capital city. I didn't eat a thing and only drank 1 bottle of water and half a canteen. This was on purpose to test the Healthy status. So there was no need for food in a 42km marathon, fully equipped :) Mind you, i'm not pointing it is not a "unwanted effect" but will jump into experimental and test it through tonight given I can spare the time. Cheers. edit: typos -

Sorry if i'm not interpreting this correctly, but doesn't this means you have to balance water/hydration and food consumption ? Before we could run only on water, now it seems we really have to balance all supplies and no top of that not get stuffed. -
Has Anyone Ever Gotten Revenge On A Player?
Hethwill_Khan replied to KevinPineapple`'s topic in General Discussion
Yes. Avenged a buddy in a very strange, confuse and awesome situation. Was a great gaming moment. To cut the story short, he had his legs broken at the ship wreck north of Berezino. A very unfortunate event indeed as he fell while trying to use the ladders, not the most unusual event but unfortunate. This was after he was jumped by a hopper, which axed him to unconsciousness but gladly I was close enough to slash him 4 times before he combat logged taking only his backpack with the food, water and medicals. No big deal, we always ( gladly we found them ) carried doubles, like a life saver epinephrine. Bandaged him, injected him, forced feed life into him. Now, some dude shows up and no big deal of hostility arises, just the usual point the guns ( me a magnum, buddy his shotgun ). He goes all friendly. And then rotten bananas hit the fan... ... a hopper shows up brandishing a M4 in a menacing way... very odd. My buddy kept his stance, shotgun at the ready. I raised my fists. Tension grows as he commands us to drop the weapons in a we are all friends type of commanding. Sure... no deal buddy. I walk up to him and suddenly he has a magnum pointed at his forehead - "Drop it on count to 5.... 1....4....fiv..." bam combat log. We saddle up to get out of there ... as my buddy collapses into the hole and breaks the legs. Albeit we always carry life savers, we didn't manage to have a splint done before we went there. Things could not get any worse right ? Hoppers and loggers and a crippled man to save I measure what I could do. Immediately leave the ship, leaving my buddy trapped with a shotgun and a unknown character which didn't really acted any hostile nor interfered in all the events, he just searched the bridge but kept close. Searching the woods thoroughly for some sticks... I hear a loud "FFS" on teamspeak as my buddie goes unconscious - "Who got you ? The friendly dude ?" - I race back to the rocks as by now I was beyond the dirt road up the coast. My buddy dies from the wound inflicted by a unknown reason. Now, I was equipped in a way that I was unmistakeable. Press vest, yellow bandanna and bearing my Mongol khan looks. Upon coming into a clearing in the woods I see two fellows coming up in a very compromising fashion, one bearing a M4 the other a shotgun... "Good riddance..." - I think to myself as the assault rifle fellow says with an arrogant tone - "Remember me ?". - "Oh yes...." - I say clearly - "... I remember you..." - I reply as i sprint forward without a care in the world and split axe at the ready. BAM, right in the skull. And kept leaping forward and bypassing the shotgun fellow landed two blows on his back. As a sidenote, I love the splitter attack speed. M4 man just stood upright, blood spraying everywhere, the other dude was pretty much unconscious as the corpse kept creepingly sliding. - "You dastards! Slaying a crippled dude just for meager loot... Look at you now, two versus one, guns versus axe and now you have to spawn all over again." - I comment on voice, hoping the shotgun man still hears, but no reply comes through. I continue - " A press vest and a yellow bandanna. Remember that and search for me. I'll gladly kill you everytime you bring up that arrogant bullshit my way!" ( note: I must thank the two guys, albeit the logging and hopping, for the great dayz moment. kudos. hop less, play more ) -
Certain Hardcore Servers Loading My Regular Character?
Hethwill_Khan replied to Grimey Rick's topic in General Discussion
Could it be that some server was changed recently to HC from Regular and still reads some regular database character entries ? -
I wonder, you guys have a nice crew, but no searching for equally matched survivors group for a nice fire fight B) . Ah well, mildly entertaining video. kudos.

2 on self defense. 2 new spawns on request.

Voted YES, although I like to see the full/almost full servers to go play in them, that's right. Quite contradictory right ?

Nice end of the stick in your case m8. Some start out without mod experience and act exactly the opposite, then they learn and start to be more... impulsive in their habits. In the end everything balances alright. Thanks for sharing man.
