The servers population numbers keeps steady for longer, no sudden drops or increases and hopping is somewhat less viable. Makes server owners happy having a steady use of their boxes :) ( more players for long time, more fun )

Sadly I didn't record. After the evening squad logged off yesterday ( on route to Berezino ) I decided to stay a bit longer on my own go into town and pick a fight. ( given our server was low population I went into the Irish Guards server, or similar name IIRC - thumbs up the server has no delays, great one. ) Lies... I actually did make a detour and went to check the shipwreck from the cliff and was occupied by, at least, 2 full military suit figures. I went back into the shadows, because I didn't feel it to be a good place for an ambush and I was fearing any rearguard around the rocks. On my way to Berezino. I didn't sprint but went in at a broken pace, walking here, marching there, stopping at corners, watching over the shoulder. Eventually made my way into the main street downtown and met the first new spawn which got alarmingly startled by the full apron gear and gun. Talking did not help him feeling more safe he just disappeared somewhere. I shrug and move on keeping that watchful eye. As I enter the factory plant offices I stumble upon a second survivor, half geared, with an base bat, shiny baby blue pack and a michelin'man jacket, we traded a few words but then gunfire broke our chat and we scurried back into the residential blocks. He disappears and I go up to the second floors and try to see where the firefight was taking place. As I could hear a mosin and 2 assault rifles were involved but the sound was somewhat distant. I get down and meet the Michelin man again in a garage by the smoke stash. I help him a bit with spare canteen and other important things. He tells me he is waiting a buddy which got delayed at the "school". ... gunfire breaks our conversation again... and it sounds it comes from that side. We again scurry somewhere but I intended on investigating this uproar on my town ( Berezino is the Movement of the Red Star capital !!! ). Moving through the backyards of the houses I spot a Mosin armed figure deploying fast and moving away from the factory grounds. I take a shaded position angled with the broken bushes and lay in wait. He had moved into the corner house. A couple minutes later someone charges in the block and I think he kills the Mosin guy ( black shirt, no backpack ). At this moment I sprint into the archway in hopes of cutting the way of the supposed offender or at least see what's going on. It is a no go. I move to the backyards again. Now I see the Michelin man moving along the railway wall, probably trying to reach his buddy at the school and more gunfire ensues. Moving up to the planks storage I see 4 figures, 3 in full military, 1 half equipped. The Michelin man gets killed and as he falls more gunfire keeps blazing most probably killing his buddy. I lay in wait and keep moving slowly amongst the wood planks ( this is an awesome position when outnumbered ! ). Eventually all the 4 gather in the open space between the barn and the factory plant; from my position it was front right, like 1 o'clock. One of them is still checking the closest perimeter, but I guess having slain 3 survivors they feel safe enough ( even if the server was 30+ at that hour ). As they start to eat, bandage and sort out their inventories I open fire. One drops dead right away, shot in the backhead, and a second a bit to his right catches the second half burst and drops severely wounded and tries to crawl. Two remaining and I reposition to the left on the planks, afraid the third soldier type goes into a enfilade on me. Good enough they didn't see where I was shooting from and the third comes back and crouches at the corner of the building behind the school. The civilian type is still moving around but eventually settles down trying to recover whatever equipment his buddies had. I unleash fire again, and wound the soldier type and the civilian. Both drop prone and return fire. Soldier type stops moving, I think he went unconscious, but the bandit-civilian dude marks a pistol shot right in my forehead... ... you are dead ... comes up on the screen. Body Count: - 1 TMK KIA - 2 civilians KIA - 2 bandits KIA - 2 bandits wounded ( 1 KIA not confirmed ) Reasoning back I think these dudes were the same looting the shipwreck. They might have done their way from the airfield, down through Svet, to the ship and back to Berezino. There was only one identified squad in game with 4 elements with tag, but that means nothing. That half an hour of tension was priceless. Thank you guys, whomever you are, both innocents and bandits. Was a great gaming moment.

Hey hey, Hailing from the best spot on EU, Portugal and beyond my 30's by 7 years, almost 8. IT tech professional. I was always a gamer as far as I recall, tabletop, pen & paper, figurines, computer, you name it. But not a every game slut. Mechanics design and credibility of the game simulation plays a huge factor on my selection. Never played DayZ Mod as I was more entertained with other games, especially alpha testing, community driving, etc. A sandbox lover, and DayZ SA apparently gives me that feeling. Other than it I usually spend my time sitting a virtual cockpit of WW2 planes across several titles, Cliffs of Dover, IL2:BoS alpha, Rise of Flight and Simulator Battles in WT and a very long term M&B, native, modded, napoleonics, player, so easy to know me from there, and really looking forward to other upcoming sandbox games - M&B2, Kingdom Come, Elite, etc ( time is too short for all of these ). I like tight groups, healthy regular activity, and usually stick with them in the long term. Gladly it seems I already found my Z-home. Whenever you see the mongolian khan face bushwhacker type avatar, it must be me. Wave hello and let's trade.

Is not about being a threat. Is about him and his buddies. He will kill you for what you MAY carry ( or just for the sake of spending a bullet...who knows... ). In the moment the die are cast, you are out of the game and he is still playing it; in the figurative sense of a table game :) Lets say you are not a threat, but he sees you as an opportunity. Doesnt make it better I know... especially because half the stuff will be unusable. So he might kill 5 or more until he gets the stuff he wants.

I will pay the price of being dead. Means I failed. Survival is the name of the game... By any means necessary and not necessarily by hop abuse and other "beardy" ways of bending a game rules. -

Login timeout suggestion: Only give penalty waiting time on manual logouts, not server disconnections

Like a buddy said... "can't remember all the ones I killed, but i remember all the retards I would've brought down if they didn't log..." Plus the worst scum is the ghosters. Seriously, can't win a fight proper ? Don't get into the fights. -

If it is on hardcore hive, it shows HARDCORE on the type, even if the server name says different. Have yet to find one that is not working like it is described on the hive column. Also time of ingame is shown, so daylight(night choice is easy and have yet to find one which says 11h33 and is night time... Player count is shown as per last comunication, meaning a 30/40 in your last refresh might be a 40/40 when you try to connect, as 10 player connected in that interval. Admin abuse kicks/bans are easily identifiable and are shown with a different message than kicked from lack of communication to Battleeye, for example. Patience is a virtue indeed. So far so good, didn't have a single issue with the new system. Works ! -

Cable unplug would be used. Same as ALT+F4. Being a normal user I don't mind having to wait a bit if it happens. -

Hiren's Boot CD ^(^google it ) has a big collection of tools. Pretty much a swiss knife. For photography recover I suggest this one ( used it in a external HDD a while ago, but you'll have to check the files yourself and rename the files as they get new generic names ) http://trcdatarecovery.com/software-apps/chk-back Other than that, and if you feel yourself comfortable with linux, yeah, any distro liveCD will do. -

That unaware traveller might be carrying something I need to save my buddy which is knocked unconscious. I'll take my risk and talk to him ? Should I fir right away ? No idea. I might do both but one thing is certain, my buddies will get their medicine either way. There MUST not be a threat for violent interaction. You cannot know what the guys that shoot you need. Your death and loot might be saving a life.

Overly complicated in my opinion. First they BUG must be fixed - you break your leg, you relog and fracture is gone. After that is fixed then the devs can look forward to localized fracture, but specifying that much might make the game suffer even if I understand the reasons this is a case where realism and game cannot meet. Credibility can be compromised with localized simple fracture - if it is broken it is broken. -
I understood better the names in chernarus than your upstart language spelling foulness for such a small deal. Anyway, IF you wish it so there is a book which you can find in game with Cyrillic cheat table for non speakers. Immerse yourself.

With that budget, if you really need to, you only have to buy the stream capture card. Elgato or similar - http://uk.ign.com/articles/2013/08/30/the-best-video-game-capture-kits-for-xbox-360-ps3-and-pc In my opinion if you have a solid PC for gaming the OBS software alone will stream HD with no problems. All my youtube vids were done with obs ( mostly imported from twitch afterwards or recorded with OBS for editing (https://www.youtube.com/nestumsangue )

This box will only relay the video to the stream site, right ? If this is the case I suggest you try out OBS ( google it ) in your game box and see if you can save the money.

As it stands now PVE = 0/40 population servers. These are plenty of those for the OP. Gather your crew man, and go there. No one will bother you there and you guys can do as much as you please. In all honesty you can pretty much travel anywhere in the map in a 40/40 server and if being smart bypass all other groups. You don't need a specific "non lethal" server for that. 66% of the servers are usually under 2/40. Server providers are cashing in like mad :)

Usually when you log back chances are you might not be exactly at the same spot, and same with the items you dropped.

I cannot offer advice, only my opinion. RUST looks a fine sandbox same as SA. I chose SA for the theme and less cartoony visuals. I cannot spare the time in two time demanding sandbox games, so... there you go. Stay calm and flip a coin !
