Under -3000 (I think) humanity you will acquire the bandit skin. You will slowly regain humanity (I recovered 2000 humanity in less than 2 hours and I switched back to survivor skin). All my stats returned to 0 after the skin change. Yay for bandit skin! No backpack shown :) P.S.: I noticed also that hunger and the need for water is now faster than ever to raise.

I do play in a good server with low to zero hacker presence (because of low population during daytime and being near to full only at european prime time). I have also tents and a vehicle to store things. I have friends helping me when I die.

First, no one is allowed or entitled to say what is the aim of this game because rocket itself said that it depends on the community if DayZ will become a true survival horror experience with bad and good guys or a sniper-fest. Second, most of pro-wannabes playing on regular servers with crosshair and nametags claims that they are doing PvP, this is not PvP, they don't even know the mean of this word. Sniping for the lulz/boredom is not PvP, it is griefing. Third, there are no rules so, anyone can do whatever he/she wants.

There is no relation between beta builds and DayZ. I used to manually update everything and in 4-5 cases I was forced to revert the beta patch (not that hard). I never heard of someone losing items because of a beta build revert.

Alt+tabbing while running is one of the worst common errors ever. In this game you need to pay attention to your surroundings 100% of the time.

If a cheater/hacker ruins my gameplay with scripts I alt+f4. If the game is supposed to act in a particular way but instead glitch/bug out doing weird things/infinite zombie spawns I alt+f4. In every other situation I refuse to exit the game because it's fun to being able to exit a dangerous situation with your own legs/hands/brain.

Every modern community is like this (look at Tortanic, Diablo3, DragonAge2-MassEffect forums, etc), nothing new to see. You just need to be able to filter out useless replies and discussions and everything will be better. Also, it's like when everyone bought Half Life to be able to play CS during the WON servers era.
