I am using the six updater because I like the idea of having everything under control but never gave a try to the launcher because is always stuck at updating (see attached screenshot). Do I have to setup something for it? Am I forced to setup some setting or does it uses the steam launch parameters I'm using? Is it normal that the launcher shows me insane pings when the ingame browser shows me different latency values? (differences from 45-60 to 90). I have no av/firewall (except for the basic router firewall and the clamwin portable antivirus with no realtime scanning). -

I don't know why but this applications is so clunky I cannot use it. Everytime I press a button it freezes for 1-2 seconds and then act, every server is signed as 9999 ping and there is a delay for every action I try to do. Also, it seems it takes forever to refresh the serverlist. I am sorry because the idea behind this application is awesome but, I see no real advantage to use SU instead of the in-game server browser. -

Because "large" cities are quite boring to visit, I personally prefer the wilderness and small towns, even if there is nothing to loot. -
I found only one atv with 3/4 fuel, I consumed 1/4 in 1 minute just running in a road. So, I agree.

399 blood, b/w vision, shacking, panicked character due to massive zombies assault at the NW Airfield, empty mags and only some spare bullet for the G17. I was lucky that Dr. Wasteland was able to save me. -

I have little Arma2 experience and, considering the general knowledge of its use I see little applications to the GPS device (RCTRL+M) in Dayz. Most servers don't allow to set waypoints in the map so, the actual only use of the GPS is having a map and to know your exact location; considering that most players uses an external map and know their position (with some error of course) what's the use of the GPS?

Nice idea, really! Considering that the zombies are "just" infected maybe those players killed by zombies should "wake" up and attack upon an activation trigger (same for the usual spawn system) or auto-wake-up after x minutes. They should be carring the inventory except for the weapon they were using before their "death" by leaving it on the ground. Think about the idea of being forced to shoot down your best friend after his "apparent" death by zombies.

Allright, maybe it's me thinking in the wrong direction because of my daily use of the gps navigator while driving. You are right, WalkerDown, the GPS device is pretty useful even if it appears as a dumbed down navigator. I also noticed that the red circle in the middle is a compass, great! If only it is possible to zoom out

I attracted 10 zeds with a motorcycle, run for 3 kilometers and discovered that only 3 out of 10 zombies was able to follow me within a minute. Don't understimate their running abilities!

No, I prefer daytime because the engine can't create proper nighttime lights. It's not freaking possible that at dusk with a bright sky the terrain, trees, buildings, everything is pure black. This mod is aming to the realism but the dusk to down time lightning is totally screwed and not realistic at all. -
