Even if he was he only needs one pack of tomato seeds or to go hunting and will have an abundance of food. Especially if he has any kit to start with. -
Can you link me where you got this information? I always assumed it was a hemorrhagic virus. What with the bleeding out of the face and all.

Or it could be a video game and your missing the op's point. The op just wants it to be colder, and the game to be a bit harder and possibly to have a relationship with real life. And whos to say it couldn't be December there? You are assuming that the game takes place in the CR or somewhere around there. But its a fictitious place, in a game :P

Exactly this. There are theory's about prion diseases passed from cannibalism, though I have not heard of any science to back it. Being as there is no treatment or cure for prion based disease. They think there may be a link to Alzheimers as well, but we still dont understand them very well.

First, lol at looking down the barrel of a .50 and then being able to shoot it with one hand. Second, absolutely. That is rather cool, but the implementation of technology like that, in a game like DayZ is still several years out. However, I am looking forward to that day! Any new news on OR getting out of testing and into the market?

Aye, they could also have broken the damage at close range. I know for a while we were oneshoting people at 75 yards if a single pellet hit them.

Right, but you could compress them and make it more interesting by cutting out all the not interesting parts! Wait two weeks, then watch it again, you will see what I mean :)

As mentioned above, the client could have registered a hit but the server didnt. Or he could have hit the backpack, or through the tree, or just the arm, doing damage but not enough to distroy inventory. With the network and server latency as they stand currently, its hard to just say 'hes cheating' because of someone not dieing when they should have. Running around claiming he is hacking is rather silly.

Your video still shows only that you got shot in the back, by someone you didnt see. It proves nothing about cheaters or exploits. The explosion sound is because someone shot the gas pump.

You forgot that it takes place on another planet. Populated by projections of people called avatars. The reality on that planet is totally alien to our own. The physics, rate of decay, time passage, its all different there. Its more similar to a video game then an actual real life place when you think about it. -

How do you know who killed you. You made enough noise that anyone with a gun would have been looking towards you. Climbing in a stupid overly exposed place. Its... Immature... to state anything about your death other than you got shot.

Broke arm, hit back pack, missed the last couple shots. Possibly lag. Hard to tell because you were in 3rd person most of the time. I have heard that that shotgun doesnt do much damage. Its possible anything you may have hit him with just damaged his inventory.

Or we could just all play in 3pp and hide in bushes using god cam to survey the landscape in beautiful technicolor 360* godcam mode!

Such as? The only issue you seem to mention was that you didnt want people to loot cycle. The fix is that items will not respawn until another item is used/destroyed and only then after a period of time and random place, also checking to make sure the place is not currently saturated with loot. This will also involve a check on the type, number, and quality of existing items as to better manage loot economy. I am afraid you may just be short sighted or afraid of a little hard work. There are no problems that are un-workable.

Im waiting to see what people do when they cant sprint forever anymore, where the heaviness of your gear makes you need to eat, drink, and rest more frequently!
