That may or may not be true. However it is harmful for discourse, and even the logical framework of your argument in your own head, when you accept such sweeping generality! <3

How can a system be flawed. If it hasnt been built, tested, or released yet? Still no links to all of the magical information that you have that I have yet to see. So your arguing, about a system, that no one knows any specifics about, before the framework of the system has ever even been seen? K.

Than possibly "The majority of players in this thread are in favor of such a solution or at the very least intrigued by it." Would have been a better statement. But even then I think there is not a 'vast' majority. And being 'a little intrigued', does also support favor. Only interest. The forums represent a very very small portion of the total population. There could be a schism between what people who are active on the forums, and 'the vast majority of players' want. But it is unfair and in bad taste to make such sweeping claims.

Do you even read threads you post in? First post, he has an Intel Core i7, 2.4GHz (3.4GHz Turbo). -
There is no possible way that you could know this. Are you in politics or something?

question will infinite ammo get u banned? READ ON

That would be unlikely as I am sure battle eye only looks for third party programs or modifications to the game files on your client. HOWEVER it is always better to be safe than sorry, and these kinds of bugs can cause performance issues. For example backpacks, in backpacks, in backpacks ect.... caused massive lag issues for everyone including those AROUND the player. -
Edit: The items you are complaining about, and the nature of your complaints are because the game is not finished. Next patch could have hunting and cooking in it, pots and pans would suddenly be very useful. You make the ASSUMPTION that their loot respawn system will not launch without addressing the 'trash loot', which is ok HOWEVER, it is not an issue because the game is not finished. The third patch down the way they could turn off hunting yet again making said pot and pan useless again. This is an alpha build, there are massive features missing let alone polish on the newest ones implemented. Yet, for some reason, you carry on your criticism of the alpha test AS IF it were a GAME. Now your post would have been more useful if you phrased suggestions instead of made assumptions. However even suggestions must be biased on assumptions of the features they may or may not implemented. Who cares? That will be the first implementation of many, and it will be arguably better than what we have now. But you 'know this or know that'. I follow the devs pretty closely. Your screaming the sky is falling while they are still drafting what the sky is going to be. Now Id love to be proven wrong. And Id also love to have a discussion to see if we can come up with situations. But I havent seen anything that you are complaining about confirmed. But if you have seen some information I have not please, do link it on over im hungry for that kind of stuff. But the most comprehensive thing was the quick overview he just gave at the convention. Not very many specifics, just huge general concepts. The only reason that the experimental servers are up right now is because Dean is testing why loot is not spawning correctly http://www.reddit.com/r/dayz/comments/220hwx/loot_respawning_in_everybuilding_on_experimental/cgi6t13?context=1 He misuses the word 'respawning loot' when he means hes forcing loot to spawn and leaving the server running.

Most of your obvious concerns will obviously be addressed when they balance the system. You almost have a great post, but like Faux newz you try to make things seem worse than they are with comments like " It doesnt take into consideration that wrenches will be very useful for fixing vehicles and building things. You fail to make the logic jump than when loot and zombies respawn server restarts wont need to happen very often. Let alone must not have read one of the 100 threads about how the hives will have a loot economy and persistant storage and all of the discussion already avalable. Where do you even get off making a statement like that? You obviously dont know anything about what they are doing, what they are doing next, and what the end goal for the system is. Please stop posting this shit. You are stating things as if they are facts when you havent the most basic grasp of what your talking about.

Seems also likely it may be a power settings issue, if your graphics settings are not to crazy. However I can only just run this game reasonably at max settings, with low anti aliaing or downscaleing at 1600x900. The biggest fps issue you will have with this game is it is simply not yet finished. No amount of hardware is going to help that. -
He flys off into the sunset in the end. And teleports to me when he gives me the rifle. I thought it may have been an amo bug/glitch too. But he also could tell where players were without seeing them (in some of the fast forwarded spots he talks about seeing two people who logging out in elecktro).

Apparently I was "speed gun hacking" ( me vs 3 fight) Video

Looks like they had a small bit of lag there actually. Noting that wouldnt look like lag tho lol. They should have got the hell out of dodge instead of standing there looking at the wall trying to 3pp up the stairs LOL -
Im sure they will be doing that.

And so it begins. Means they are starting to get it right. The game is going to be better off as the horde becomes the counter to some duchebag with a gun poping new spawns. The only problem I have is their agro mechanics are broken. Right now sometimes they run at you from 500 yards away, sometimes you can walk 3 feed from them, sometimes they agro you through 5 walls....

The QCB murders your accuracy. (probably to much) Also thanks for responding Gews :) I didnt realize this was a quazi necro.

Reasonable ranges, in regards to gameplay, is highly subjective. That being said I would imagine they will make the guns more accurate when they add physics to ballistics. :)

1st person too zoomed in when aiming?

Double taping it locks it in :) -
I would assume one of two bugs. You got shot and didnt hear it (sound bug). The game lost you and you 'fell' far enough to die (lag).

Can you trust a stranger with a loaded gun?
Judopunch replied to SentencedToBurn's topic in General Discussion
There was a good youtube video on this. He gave newspawns guns than pretended he had to go afk. He was surprised when more often than not he was not shot. -
In his notebooks, Leonardo da Vinci wrote of pareidolia as a device for painters, writing "if you look at any walls spotted with various stains or with a mixture of different kinds of stones, if you are about to invent some scene you will be able to see in it a resemblance to various different landscapes adorned with mountains, rivers, rocks, trees, plains, wide valleys, and various groups of hills. You will also be able to see divers combats and figures in quick movement, and strange expressions of faces, and outlandish costumes, and an infinite number of things which you can then reduce into separate and well conceived forms http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pareidolia Brain science!

Judopunch replied to [email protected]'s topic in General Discussion
Try double tapping + and - on your num pad. And generally the fov is because you are sighting down the gun. Are you saying just 1pp vs 3pp in general? Or when you are aiming? If the later dont right click tell you are ready to fire? -
Couple things, were you holding your breath in-game when you fired those shots? What stance were you using? Should this even be tested, they are completely changing how the guns work by release; wind and environment will effect the bullets they may be reballancing general accuracy because of it. And you should have really done the test in SA...Your usually quite thorough there may have already been changes to factors that effect accuracy. Why would you not want something thats good for gameplay, in a game? And because the weapons are slightly off does not mean that the weapons are not realistically representative. These weapons are still vastly more accurate representations of their real world counterparts than almost any other game out there. Thirdly, the QCB makes a large difference in the animation to bring the weapon from down to shouldered as a trade off for accuracy.

Change how the prone, crouch and stand keys work.
Judopunch replied to franzuu's topic in Suggestions
I think you loose flexibility if you have them as a toggle. Especially because of how long the animations take to play out, you want to enter the right stance. I believe if you re-bind to have it the way you want you will have to execute each animation seperatly. Ie to go prone from standing. Animate to kneel>kneel>animate to prone> prone. Where as if you hit "go prone" you go from standing>transition>prone, and it takes a third less time... -
I guess the difference between the flavor that people are looking for and what we have right now are a bit different. No one has yet sold me on a good reason not to play in 1pp anyways. If I had my way I would have made it so that there was never an option for 3pp. I have yet to have anyone give me a compelling reason why 3pp is more fun than 1pp.

There is a major difference between glitching (seeing through walls) and pivoting the camera (the point of the discussion). The glitch should be fixed regardless of the mode or camera changes. And does not require the proposed change to 3pp, and Im sure the Team is already working on something to address the glitch. Im still waiting for someone to discuss why limiting the camera's motion is not a better solution.
