Its an ongoing process whereby they are systematically replacing pieces of the old engine. They have already started. They wont finish tell the end of alpha, probably over 12 months from now.

The issue im STILL having is only the Vilayer servers have if its on or off, for first person only, in a spot you can read it. I have Ghetto-net so my ping spikes often and Vilayer servers kick me with no warning and ends up deleting my character.

until today i dont think any servers actually had persistence working.

Because the spawn isnt the a bug, the server crashing and loosing your character is.

Some people on redit were discussing this. Its effecting both my 1 and 3pp guys. Was your character alive before the patch as well?

I heard it was closer to 30, but you are probably more correct. Thankfully when vehicles and the rest of the loot economy are gone you wont necessarily have to run 10k to get anything! It will also make foot pursuits more interesting when they pass out from exhaustion either because they dont have the energy or because they have 100lbs of junk in their pack!

Thus you control the situation and the outcome. All the people complaining 'but i WAS FRIENDLY AND HE KILLED ME', do not do this. They are easy targets, the low hanging fruit of dayz. -

Your Fov seems super wide, could have something to do with it. Same thing with the large backpacks, when you prone with a wide FOV you run into issues.

But we arnt. Because even with a new renderer without optimized server calculations, networking, and client server, client client, information sharing your still not going to have a smooth good looking game. Graphics and shaders are still dependent on the underlying architecture that handles the game.

Anyone have a hardcore server with persistence enabled?

It seems NO servers have it enabled currently, or if they do, it is as you stated.

The quality and type of clothing you have on, as well as your elevation and if you are wet or not have massive effects on how cold you get. Basically if your wet in the western part of the map in the late afternoon, you guna freeze to death.

*BUG* Has anyone else experienced this? Player spawns naked and character fails to carry over to most servers.

Yes this happens when you attempt to connect to a server that is not fully rebooted after a crash/restart. It wipes your character and you spawn in vibor, a debug developer spawn. Should you wish to spawn correctly kill yourself by jumping off the bridge, your next character should be fine. I make a rule of not joining a server that has just restarted with a time of for example 15:00, instead wait until it says 15:01 at least before attempting to join.
