I think infection should be toned down just a notch, this is one unnaturally virulent bacteria. Blood sometimes making you sick is good. This is not refrigerated blood, it's found on the floor blood.

I would LOVE to see giant buildings, in particular, a large Hospital. If anyone has ever seen or been inside an abandoned hospital you will know how incredibly creepy this is. I think it could work really well in DayZ, if you can properly explore the inside of the buildings. Also, I like the Industrial buildings in Cherno but they are not massive enough and you cant get inside much of it. If the insides were fleshed out and certain buildings expanded it would add greatly to realism. I don't think this should be anything like a set mini-game, I just think that different places should have appropriate loot.

For the machine guns to hit you the heli has to stay relatively still with the gunner exposed to you. I've been shot out from the gunner seat with a DMR before.

Why would "snipers" be removed? Will they be tweaked? probably, the weapon attachment system might include some of those tweaks. As for the coriolis effect, the force is too small, the effect would be insignificant.

Zombie detection is tweaked in various ARMA 2 Beta versions. Personally, I haven't seen any really weird aggro for a while now.

I think solo is one of the most fun ways to play. Playing with a friend or two is also great, but when there are more than about 3 players attempting to work together, communication can get a bit difficult unless you have a rigid chain of command. As a beginner I would stick to low population (<20), night time official hive servers. This is a great way to learn the game solo as you can really take your time, learn the map and reach a ripe old age. However you will never get good until you start fighting players and getting frequently killed. Every death will teach you something in DayZ. I find that private hive servers with hundreds of vehicles and open side-chat cheapens the experience somewhat, but it's still fun in a different way.

I also haven't found a single one after about 8 hours of playing the new version, something I hope to change today.

Keep it. If duping is not an issue then it will stay extremely rare. I don't have one right now but finding one is a fun goal for a lone wolf.

Imo don't bother with barns, go for places with many spawn points. My preferred tactic is to circle a town, preferably not within 250m (so you dont personally cause zombies to spawn) and look for the supermarket. The supermarket is a smallish single storey building with a glass front and big windows down one side, the front also has double glass doors. Also check for apartments, they are red, square multi story buildings which occur in blocks. There are loads in Cherno and these are often good for things like backpacks, I even found ghillie suits there. They are near the edge of Cherno so you can get in and out fairly easily. There is also a Hospital right near some apartments so you can grab several morphine. You should quickly find a pistol or shotgun in these places but what you really need to find is a knife, map, compass, hatchet and matches so you can navigate, hunt and cook. A few quick raids should provide you with this stuff. Then head off to hunt for deer stands and crashed helicopters to find a good weapon. Then you can start to effectively take on other players.

I think its good give direction, the group then knows exactly what everyone else is doing.

Its quite easy to team up if neither of you have a weapon. You could also try helping someone but that's quite risky.

I got teleported to a hacker couple days ago, he had a heli and M107. I immediately pumped about 8 rounds into him at about 7 m range with my PDW and then frantically pulled my WiFi dongle out. They didn't get me but I'm pretty sure he was invulnerable to bullets so I didn't go back. This was on a server with a pop of about 6 which from my experience is very rare, low pop is generally safe from hackers. Regarding gearing up on low pop then going to high pop for kills, you will be targeted by hackers as I have died a couple of times from doing this.

I killed a ghillie suit guy camping the Stary tents with his Enfield. Along with all the usual high end gear like GPS, he had a radio on him, is that legit? if not does that make them a hacker?

I have been playing for a few months now and just found my first L85. It's very difficult to use at close range so imo it's not OP. it's also very rare so makes a great reward to players who find one after many hours of searching.

u might be able to play on low settings, try arma 2 free first to check.
