my char havent died on i think 4 days now. and ive carried it 3 out of those 4. and ive run cross country more then a few times lol so yeah i kinda now what you mean. its nice tho cause now i finaly got abit of space to pick up something for a buddy that might die and help him gear up abit faster,

out of the times ive found mosins 1 time was inside the top floor of a hospital (that singel room) but it was angeled in away that it was halfway in the wall and couldent get pickedup. other then that every singel time its been in a destroyed car. hell got to an empty town yesterday with a friend and me and my friend searched 5 cars and out of those 5 2 of them had mosins.

So im playing with a friend and he keeps going in and out of invisible. he's invisible most of the time and when he in that state i cant even hear him shoot. our other friends do see him and everything seems fine. on their end. ive checked my ping and his ping and were both ok on that department on the servers were on. we tried using alot of diffrent servers in hope that it would get fixed if we swapped server (incase one of us was having packet losses) but havent helped. http://r2.reddit.com/r/dayz/comments/1trn5n/invisible_glitch/ this is not my post but this is pritty much it. ive tried googing it and found no solution. anyone know if there's a fix for this or? ive tried updating my drivers but to no avail. and ive had that problem with him Since before we both got camo gear. edit: forgot to add desync seems to be fine as well for both of us. edit2: might add that what happens more exatkly is im usaly in the lead when were moving and (due to problem) and what happens is that im moving and all of the sudden my friends goes past me slightly faster in a direction and keeps running for a while (sometimes a good while) and ill see him run out to a field only to dissapear midstep. and thats when he goes invisible for quite some time, after some time he pops back next to me for around 1min then i see his ghost clone run off again and dissapear only to make him invisible again.

thats just it tho. dosent seem to matter what server were on.

been testing both types of servers and i must admit im finding it alot more fun playing on servers that is locked to first person view. and you cant access the third person and all the advantages that comes with it. so im wondering if there is a way of checking if the server is locked to first person or not.

im not doing any exploit of the put bag inside bag with stuff init. all ive got is a medbag a defib and a ammo crate. their filled tho and then normal stuff like clips bandages and can opener etc. im not using any bug abuses and i know he's not either.

im sorry but the more you tell me about your bud the more i thinking this aint a friend thats the guy you have in your group of friends that you barly tolerate but is allways acting like a douche. :facepalm: i tend to avoid that person cause will i just dont need the headach. last time he did something that got to me tho i did give him a peace of my mind. and with that ive lost interest in the thread. anyway good luck with your adventures and your friends. no beans for this one

well i do agree with this but not for the reason as to why to do it. if i was you i would kill him. your friend is behaving like a douche out of pure paranoia to the point of what sounds like he's freaking you out. a real friend you gotta be able to smack in the head when their acting like assholes and ask him what the hell he thinks he's doing, sure you might end up in a fight but i mean who the hell does have fights with their friends, Here's the thing tho. if your not the one to do it, who will? some random guy he shots laying on the ground using his microphone before he dies completly. or you, his old friend that have known him for 15 odd years? if you cant do that without losing him. then thats not what i call a friend. thats just an douche with a bad temper.

im quite supriced at that what they did, must admit they deserve some :beans: :beans: . if it would have been me i probably would have emptied out the pistol first dropped it then tell you that i was placing the ammo (a bit away from you) and after doing that walked away. Cool guys tho must admit.

Sigh so died last night before i logged of by some guy who decided to kill me even tho i had no weapons and only a backpack and 1 can of beans. so just spent about 2hours running around trying to figure out where i was "had no clue where i spawn" i couldent find any signs to check vs the online map "yes i do use the online map" after about 1-2 hours running around and trying to scavenge the small houses i found along the way with no signs but with 0 luck i finaly manged to find a couple of smaller lakes and turns out i was getting close to electro power plant "first time getting to electro" only to get sniped at as soon as i got close to the power plant yeah yeah i know the main cities holds more people but come on i was unarmed no axe no melee weapon or range weapon. i franticly shout in to the microphone Friendly friendly im unarmed, with 0 responce the guy just keeps shooting. i start pulling the jack rabbit run around trying to dodge. i manage to get around a corner without getting hit and start to run, Problem here is the guy is up on a tower and got free view around the surrounding area except the buildings close to the Tower he's in, so i try to sneak off and get further in so i might be able to pass him by undetected only to turn another corner to find one of his friends with a Magnum in hand. i frantly hit the hands up to surrender but before i even get the Chance "BAM" your dead..... i get it theres alot of douches but i dunno this is only my what third day? and its starting to get little bit annoying but not much one can do except start over again, but im starting to like the idea that marauders should have something that makes them distinguashable so when you meet one you know automaticly that guy is a douche, and when you plant your firefighter axe firmly in to their skull you wont feel any remorse. uhm the sith in me might have been channeled abit much there but abit hard to stay unaffected lol

So anyone else getting this today? Im trying to get on some low pop server so i can do some scavenging since well i need it. but almost every server i try to join i get stuck on the Waiting for Host screen. and the Server list (internet) is extremly slow with updating and showing servers. ive checked my line and i can browse around just fine and ive tried a couple of bandwith tests and their showing good results as well. ive pinged a couple of sites and getting good responce time so fairly sure its not on my end.

that would be because im only 4 days old to the game.

yeah i get that its an alpha this aint a whine post, but havent had this problem past 4 days just started when today when im trying to log on and play, just wondering if anyone besides me is experiencing this as of today as well. and if anyone know if theres fix for this

Welcome and it nice story 2 mate. you seemed to have had alot better luck so far then my self. im new to the game as well and its nice to see so many people jumping on. Anyway here's some beans for the nice intro and story!

Yeah ive tried that and it dosent work. ive encountered a few randoms and this is usaly how it goes now. i hear something that tells me someone is near. "pulse goes up" ok pull out a weapon "preferably pistol if i got one" hunker down and look around some random guy comes running out in my field of vision turns around looking and spots me. (i wasent trying to hide out of view simply get some cover" he immediatly turns to me and says nothing (or says something in what sounds like Russian) raises his weapon (my luck im usaly faced off against someone thats got ranged weapons and knows how to use em. or so it feels like) i wave or say Hi with the microphone he then lowers his weapon and runs off around a corner. i look for a second and then turn around to sprint away cause having someone close to me freaks me out since ive died about 80% of the time someone got close to me "simply cause i hope their friendly and not a totall douche" just as im about to turn around the guy comes out around the corner with weapon drawn and "so far i havent had any meleer doing this" and shots me dead. so yeah im really starting to understand the hole shoot first thing. ive learned my lesson tho, even if they pulls the old run around corner like they dont wanna fight. im not gonna turn away nor lower my weapon at this point, move away by backing or something. but yeah i dunno i just had this vision of me hunkering down at some forrest edge end just camp some village or town and just start shooting practice on anyone that comes in my field of view. cause frankly i suck at shooting and need the practice plus it might help blow off some steam. (not that im planning on doing this, just an idea) So far ive only managed to kill 2 people. the first one i mentioned in my first post on the forum and the second one was earlier today. had a russian with a mosin coming up towards me and i told him lower his weapon or ill shoot ( i had him in my sight before he saw me) guy started shooting and well i think i was lagging like hell but i emptied an entire clip on him and i still had to walk up to him while he was on the ground to finish the job. thats 2 out of eh ive lost track of how many times ive been KoS now. and this is only what my third or fourth day? anyway so yeah saying friendly or waving or lowering your weapon after they lower theirs, nothing works. at the end your just gonna hafto take a leap of faith. and if you cant, well i guess shooting them as soon as they lowered their weapon or simply start KoS your self is your only choice. me im still undecided, i think i would like to join a marauder Death Squad or something tho,. just hunt those suckers down ( the Marauders i mean) for some vengence
