  1. That actually might fit in with the invisible Zombies / Teleported Hits bug from the sound of it.
  2. Nice Update I'm mainly looking forward to testing out the Persistent System though. Any ETA on when that will hit the EXP server? Since ya'll said it was pretty much wrapped up to be started with Backpacks.

    World to small?

Actually several times I've felt I was to small trying to look in a window in first person or trying to see if there is a map on that top shelf. It might be both 1st person perspective need some slight adjusting while the character actually gets shrunk a little.
  4. So lately I've been playing on the experimental servers testing out the new stuff and exploring. With the introduction of larger sized servers I've noticed something and I want to find out if others have experienced this as well. I know quite a few people have complained about hearing random bandaging, cans opening, gates, ammo splitting, etc... when no one is around. What I noticed is that I can be out in the Northern Woods far away from any of those possible noises and I still hear some but the more people join the server the more I hear it. I logged in when the server only had like 3 people on it after a Restart I assume. Things were fairly quiet some random noises I moved around exploring the woods looking for interesting things. As I checked the Player List seeing the server fill up I heard more and more noises. I stopped for awhile in the middle of nowhere to eat and drink in a forest and it just seemed like a constant stream of ambient noises when the server was close to capacity. Normally I guess I ignore it or tune it out because I'm running, looting, killing zombies, or whatever but today stopping and paying attention made me wonder if other people have experienced this. Has anyone? Is there a algorithm in the game that is supposed to play more ambient noise based on how many players are connected to the server? Or is there some sort of global echo for those noises that's causing everyone to hear parts of them and the reason I hear more is because the more players the more they are somehow causing that echo?

    Update Rev. 0.36.115535 (Experimental branch)

I understood was just saying of all the weapons currently the M4 is the one I would perfer to be shot by based on the caliber and what the bullet will do.

    Update Rev. 0.36.115535 (Experimental branch)

I'd rather be shot by the M4 over most of the other weapons currently in game.
  7. While a lot of this is to be simulated to real life not everything should be. After all this is a Video game. Guess what happens when you die in RL? Your dead no coming back no starting over your gone. So all this crying about Perma-Death is kind of a moot point honestly because no matter what you don't actually get Perma-Death in a video game. If your gonna cry about things breaking the Perma-Death feeling and so on then how about we make some changes to make Death feel more like an actual death? If you die you can't respawn for 24 hours or up to a week? I don't think the majority of players would really like that one because then deaths really do have some major consequences. Anyways, I'm for Persistent Storage Containers. I think they are a good idea and of course should be server based so that they can be raided even when your offline. Storage size maybe a backpack or slightly larger. I don't think you should be able to store Guns in them but everything else you should. Okay possibly pistols but no Rifles. Definitely not limitless though. No degradation of items though, it's just kind of a cheap mechanic and honestly doesn't fit with some of what they are trying to do. Your biggest risk should be another player finding and destroying your stash. The fact that they are actually running the Day/Night cycles as actual 24 hour cycles means that the decay should take like months or years depending on the items. I mean really is that Scope or Can of beans or Gas Canister I'm storing really gonna degrade that much over a few days? No it isn't. I hope they just start with backpacks as a test for the persistent storage containers. They hold a limited amount, everyone knows what they look like, and you can't store Rifles in them. Yes that means Hunter Backpacks will be more rare or valuable for the camo nature of them but until they fix the respawning loot and other stuff it doesn't really matter anyways since people still wait for servers to restart anyways. Oh and the Timer thing to stop Server Hoppers is complete crap I still see them doing it even on Experimental servers which really have limited choices. Yeah I actually talked to them and asked what they were doing I didn't just guess. I'd like to see a different solution than timers that hurt the honest player with a lost session or connection for whatever reason. Maybe a system to help promote playing on the same server over and over again. If you always connect to the same server it keeps your position ie. Airfield or wherever you logged out at this means even if you lose connection you won't be punished, but if you switch servers it resets your character spawn to a new spawn location either random or on the coast or whatever. Then you can't just get to a location and server hop looking for people or loot you'd have to run back to whatever location it was you wanted to loot if you switched. It won't totally prevent server hopping but it'll make it more painful that's for sure. There is some potential for abuse there though so it's certainly not perfect. Meh just thinking

    Update Rev. 0.36.115535 (Experimental branch)

Pretty Good Looking Update. Some things of note. Rain coming into buildings isn't "just" a setting glitch for low res. I have mine set on Max everything but I still see rain inside of some buildings such as the Hangar. I need to compile a list and bug report it. In most buildings now I don't see Rain but there are still quite a few structures that do. The Rain making you wet soaked or whatever is cool but it happens WAY to quickly with the clothing including the Raincoat vs the amount of time it takes to dry off. It definitely needs some balancing. A lot of the higher end gear should have more water resistance than just a T-Shirt. Same for the Military Boots vs Running shoes. Raincoats shouldn't get soaked at all unless these aren't really Raincoats. Possibly the "Dry Area" of trees should be expanded out so that when your actually running through a forest you have a much better canopy of cover. Are there different varieties of rain or the level of soaking you get from different types of storms? M4 is a pretty well rounded weapon should be fairly accurate up to 300M but after that your getting more dicey due to sight picture and so on. Maybe a tweak should be made so that single shot is more accurate but forces a small delay between when you can pull the trigger again. If they add in having to Zero your weapons then things will get interesting and honestly I hope they do. Also I forgot the Eat All function is amazing and was much needed. We could use a Drink All function as well. However both should have longer use timers or plainly where you are stuck eating or drinking for longer as it would be if you did it in real life. Basically the only thing your actually trading off at that point is less clicking or mashing F keys. I'm lagging to bad to play at the moment so I'll have to explore the towns later on tonight hopefully.
  9. I like the update. I've been messing with it despite some issues with graphics with the patch. B95 is cool and so is the speedloader for it. I haven't seen a cowboy hat or leather jacket yet though. Sewing Kit is awesome and finally now I understand how the Cleaning kit is intended to work. Now my demands... Crank up spawn on New items so we can see them and mess with them the first few days of experimental patch. Took me forever to find a Machete and find out it's worthless my fists are better. Stripper Clips for Mosin - Cut the SKS Clip in half recolor and make it work for the mosin and hold only 5 rounds boom there ya go. Foldable Bayonets for Mosin - RL Basis for this Yellow Boxes aren't protecting contents. Add Motorcycles when you add Vehicles. More 6 slot shirts. Can't wear vests or holster over down jackets. .... Ah Screw it I'll just make a video instead and post it in a week or two.

    Server Hopping Suggestion

I just registered so forgive me if this has been suggested before. To me there are two big problems with the Server Hopping issues. 1. You can loot stuff from multiple servers at will by hopping around giving you an unfair advantage and also not playing the game really how it is meant to be. 2. It's almost a bit unfair for someone to simply join a server and come in and waste someone who spent all their time working their way up there on that server. Now my solution partially doesn't fit with the Realism they desire from the game but lets be honest if you server hop your breaking that anyways. I've seen where people suggest you be tied to one server with your life but I don't like that idea because what happens if your friends end up on another server and you want to join them? Suggestion: If you log out on a server and log back into the server you show back up in the location you were last. However if you log out and then switch to a different server it will respawn you with all your gear of course in one of the starting locations. Why: This prevents someone from server hopping to loot valuables from key locations as they will be reset to a starting point if they change servers and will have to travel all that way again. Some may get lucky or unlucky depending on how you look at it and spawn in or near the big towns but it will be luck of the draw. If you get killed by someone just logging in the building behind you at least you'll know they had to log out there on that server rather than just a random chance they picked your server to log into. It doesn't punish anyone by loss of gear or anything just you have to travel again. Oh and also it helps prevent Combat logging from being abused as much in some cases. (I've seen people combat log go to a different server to circle around behind a shooter and log back in to kill the shooter). Anyways I'm hoping this suggestion will help curtail the server hopping for easy loot and some of the random spawning behind people in specific positions without severely impacting ability to play the game or the ability to switch around to join with friends on different servers. Any Feedback is welcome.

    Server Hopping Suggestion

Yeah I have connection problems too on quite a few servers so I understand what your saying. Still as long as I get to keep all my gear I can deal with having to travel again but that's just me and I found one or two servers that I don't have too many connection issues with so I mainly play on those.

    Server Hopping Suggestion

Except what happens if you have a hard time finding the right server? Your ability to play for those increasing times are impacting peoples ability to play or join friends not to mention difficulty finding the right server for you. I can tell you exactly what I'd do if your system was in place and I wanted to server hop. I'd jump servers until I get past 16 minutes probably. Then I'd spend 30 minutes running to the next Loot location and rinse and repeat. Yeah it'd take a bit longer but still an effective tactic.
