I have the same problem, sometimes. I first verified the files and that worked, until I died. Then for my respawn it happened again, but after I respawned again it worked fine. I tried without my VPN and it did work better without the problem cropping up again.

Hello all, I've seen a ton of gameplay footage and have now read quite a few posts on the forums. I've come to the conclusion that this game is a total grief fest and even the server rules promote griefing (ex - no kicking players for being bandits). Before I decide to pay for this I would like to know, is this game a grief fest? (I've played GTA:O and it's pretty much a grief fest KOS, I'm not about to pay money for another game like that)

I'll be in on Dayz Standalone for sure once more gets added. I love the core concept but I'd just rather worry about zombies and not other humans (if I want PVP I play Battlefield3 (4 once it gets fixed...)). Though if my buddy jumps on, I'll pry be on regardless haha. (Can't let him go in alone)

Thank you all for your answers. I think that I'll pry hold off on this until either private servers become available or there are more tasks to do. I think I will get this for Arma2 however, as I truly like the concept of Dayz.
