Come on guys are you serious? DayZ is crashing for me once in a while. Sometimes it throws me back to desktop, so I have to kill it via taskmanager and sometimes the whole system freezes for no reason. Even though they'll make DayZ stable and stress tested the whole thing with a lot of zeds and players. You'll never know when it'll hit you. Could be corrupt memory, an update gone wrong or whatsoever. Like I said, I've rather been robbed by a noobish kos, than loosing my stuff to a situation I can't control.

Yep, thanks for that. And no I don't want such thing to be implemented into the game. I like to loose my gear in a good firefight or to a kos, but not to a system crash. Sorry,if that is the solution for keeping player from combat logging, then I rather live with them. :/

So what if I found someone wearing this "friendly" armband, I shoot him and take his armband. Does this make me friendly? Only thing, I can think of stopping kos, will be to remove all weapons and the ability to use your fists as weapons. This is never going to happen, live with it.

there you go... Even an unarmed player can punch you to death and take your stuff. So yes, there might be a reason to not trust anyone and kill them on sight. And for instance, who in real life would run towards an armed person, waving with his hands and screeming "I'm friendly". <_< The whole "no kos / real humanity system" topcis are pointless. This is not plants vs zombies, it's an apocalyptic simulation and if you behave like that, I bet you'll be fine.

I really hope that the private hive stuff will soon be released. So all the folks, that are suffering from kos and too dark nights, can meet up on their password secured server and have fun running around and holding hands while singing songs. <_<

Isn't Chernarus big enough? :P How many games do you guys can name, that have quite similar huge landscapes as DayZ? I think bigger maps will even drop the overall performance.

Come on guys! What this game is all about? Is it somekind of post-apolcalytic survial simulation or a care bears game for kids, where everybody hold hands and ran into the sunset? <_< To not know whom you can trust or not is part of the game in my opinion and shouldn't be destroyed by any hero/bandit labeling.

Even an unarmed player can knock you out and steal your gear. So, I won't trust anybody and consider killing them on sight ;)

From what I've read, devs are trying to patch or fix the hive. So this means currently no hives available and therefore all server have problems with character wipe. In other words....no hive = no character saving/loading
