Sorry but that's not banditry , that's just KoSing fresh spawns , which I agree is poor sport. Try to actually rob someone or take them hostage, if there geared and not dim-witted its rather challenging. It was a personal achievement of mine for a while to take 2 or more gear gremlins hostage while I was under geared. The failures and successes make for quite interesting stories.

Dayz will highly likely never include a single player (Offline) version of the game, atleast probably not to official release if it is ever included. The concept of dayz of is based around multiplayer aspect.

If I were to sum up using a crossbow as your primary weapon in one word. It would be 'ineffective'. For the last few days I've been using nothing but, dropping my other primaries as soon as I have 5 bolts and find a crossbow. RDS / Comp optics are broken on the crossbow, you will shoot about 2-3 meters higher than where you place the reticle. ACOG seems to be the only viable optics that actually shoot where you aim. Due to not being able to retrieve bolts from kills or misses , ammo is very sparce and you must choose your shots very well. Also because of this, it eliminates using the crossbow as an option for zombie removal. Ammo is far and few between to waste it on a zombie. If you were able to retrieve bolts this would be a completely different scenario. For PVP, your almost guaranteed to lose a confrontation should you not get the flank / drop on your opponent or miss your first shot. With a reload time of about 5-6 seconds, anyone with half a brain should have you dead within that time period. Crossbow vs M4 (lol) , don't even try it unless you have the back drop on them Crossbow vs Mosin , It's doable so long as you don't miss your first two shots. Crossbow vs Blaze , you should win this fight regardless of your aim as long as your not completely terrible. Crossbow vs Sks , you better make that first shot count or your dead. Crossbow vs Shotgun , this is the only scenario where you have the true upper hand and that is due to range. What I am really getting at, even though the crossbow is mostly a one shot kill on players (two at max) , it is probably the worst choice you can make as a primary. The slow reload time gives your opponent such a large window to push and kill you. Plus the sparcity of ammo and inability to retrieve bolts makes each bolt worth there weight in gold 10x over. If the reload was reduced by half (not very realistic) and bolts made retrievable it would definitely be an effective PVE & PVP primary but at this point in time, the only real use I would recommend it for is hunting. In my opinion is should be able to replace your melee slot or be stackable in a backpack like a sawn-off. But take up more space then the sawn-off (2x4 instead of 1x4) Anyone actually have a relatively positive PVP experience with the crossbow?

Okay so not sure if anyone else noticed, or if this is just me experiencing this. But looking through the scope on the AKM, I notice a RIDICULOUS weapon sway were the gun shakes between a 45-60 degree field of view, making the scope pretty much useless. Iron sights - no drastic sway however. Wat...?

Well, in the mod. Castles were often abundant with supplies / objectives. And usually based up on epoch. Neither can be found in the SA. Plus the stairs in the SA castles are entirely too narrow and buggy, both times I've been to devil castle i broke my leg walking down them. And fell through Rog's stairs. I wouldn't dare climb up those again.

Majority of the players I've killed in the last 5-6 hours of gameplay have been at airfields. Fully kitted players. Only 4-5 have been without primary and those were bambis trying to melee me to death. If you like we can meet up for my 43rd :D

Killed a fully geared guy in berenzino with a M4 w/o clip, had one round chambered. He got the drop on me, fired off 17 bullets before I dropped him with on in the chamber. After I finished swiping his gear he awoke from unconsciousness ; proceeded to cuff him with his own handcuffs. Broke his leg, bandaged him, then left him in the middle of the street yelling obscenties as I proceeded to trollololol away with all his stuff. Another time my friend was on top of the factory in Cherno, the one with the bridge thing between two oil stacks. He fell off the top (50-75m fall) and didnt take any damage, survived. His underwear was soiled, but fully intact.

I'm not a carebear, half the fun of the game is the adrenaline rush of getting shot at and returning fire. Current character has 42 confirmed kills and been alive for 19 hours. All that gear is trophies from kills. Started with a baseball bat in berenzino. And by your outfit, does that mean someone won't shoot at you? I've killed many a "Survivor" looking player, there known as victims.
