Hey all, I was just wondering why my colors are always a bit more grey than they should be? The videos I see on youtube ex. Commanderpixel's game were all very colorful. I am sure that I am on Full Health and Full Blood, and it isn't the weather, as in bright daylight, it is still not as colorful as the youtube videos.

Doesn't Work :( Maybe if I reinstall the game?

My gamma is weird, it seems like its stuck or something, if I turn it up or down it doesn't make a difference. P.S. this didn't happen before, don't remember when this started happening tho (the gamma thing)

I'm Energized Hydrated Healing Healthy, tried it didn't work. I also have a weird problem, my gamma bar doesn't change when I tweak it, yet the brightness does. Dunno! This makes the game look realllly bad

Geared up at NE airfield, stocked out with m4a1 with all of the best upgrades to it, a good scope too! Made my way down to Berenzino and helped out 4 people, avoided a bloody gunfight with a group of 2 geared up players, just so satisfying to help people and play the game the way it was designed to be. ON A SIDE NOTE, IF YOU'RE STILL ONE OF THE PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT KOS, "You have to be in sight, to be killed on sight" -Frankieonpcin1080p The group of two geared were running in the middle of the road full sprint, I had to walk up beside them till they noticed me, in which time they were so scared they fumbled with the keys to their weapons and kept pulling it out then back in. Easily a double kill, but seriously, the people that are getting killed are probably these guys, have some better awareness if you're going to full sprint in the middle of the road @@

Ah sorry man, worded that wrong, what I'm trying to say is almost all people kill each other, and don't live up to the survival game it is, sure there are evil people >:D but I felt there is a lack in nice people :O The new spawns I went up to, the first communication established was: " Oh, you're going to kill me aren't you" and one said after I put some items on the ground, "This is some kind of sick trick huh, I'm going to walk over and try to pick it up, then you're going to kill me!" Is it just me? or has the new patch just made the game laggy as hell. The zombies are now a threat yay! they are a thresh because I can't even turn my head without dropped to 15 fps in cities Q_Q Before patch 30 fps in cities without issue, is it because of the new zombie respawn thing?

X_X i had like 25+ fps in cities b4 patch after patch i get like 15~20 >:( >:( >:(

Hi guys! I need some help with the CFG files (since this is where i think the problem is) The rendering of buildings is very bad, only when i am VERY close to the buildings do they start rendering, from about 150m away, the are just like a bad painting, blobs. My CFG lines are sceneComplexity=110000;shadowZDistance=100;viewDistance=1500;preferredObjectViewDistance=1400;terrainGrid=25; Objects are on low Help please! I don't think this was that bad before

Ive changed some config files with no change, the buildings are still blurry from about 100 m

Hi been playing the game for quite a while now, never tried this tho! Laptop Resolution: 1600x900 i5-3230M 2.6Ghz Nvidia NVS 5200m RAM: 4gb I have been playing the game at about 35fps open ground 20 in cities. If I upgrade my RAM would it run at about 30 in cities? 8GB or 16GB Will future optimizations help fps get higher?

I have a suggestion for zombies that might solve the problem of too much zombies making the server lag, what if the zombies were like the last of us? They are very hard to kill, and VERY scary. If too much zombies = lag, then maybe make the zombies very very scary, and making them hard to kill? Maybe make the environment very eerie making the zombies seem more threatening ? Just a recommendation please leave thoughts ^^

Is there any reason you should pick the Blaze 95 over the mosin? I mean the blaze can't take scopes, only 2 shots. It seems the mosin is better in every way, or am I wrong?

I dont know why, but i always find that the B95 is more accurate and the bullet time is faster, I can hit someone from 200 meters running with iron sights no problem, but the Mosin i feel is a bit different. Dunno maybe just preference

But to be honest, if the zombies are just 1 shot kill, if it were 50 zombies roaming on the street, it would still be easy to just empty mags, or run away from them, wouldn't it? one of the reasons i always found zombies very threatening were because they were scary, they made me flinch, or made me think twice about facing one, even tho it would probably just take 1 shot to kill them. Maybe more zombies + head shot kills with maybe a bit of tweaking on the zombies appearance, sounds and actions? (in the future of course) i know this is an early alpha, but the way its heading, i'm afraid the zombies will stay the same.

I think we need to change this wait time when you change servers. Sometimes when we join a laggy or wrong server, we have to pointlessly wait for 5 minutes. I am right now inside the walls of a building, and cannot get out, I saw someone in the forums say to vault next to the wall and log out immediately, Welp everytime I do this, I have to wait Veerrry Long. Any other ways to counteract server hopping? Because the happens every time I log out.

I recently saw a video ( not gonna say who posted ), of somone with a low end pc removing the grass for fps increase, Is this illegal? will you get a ban/kicked. I'm asking not because i want to see everyone better, but more for performance.

So i've been playing DayZ on a normals Laptop for a while now, it is playable because I have watched the FPS increase tutorials in YouTube. (i play at about 25 fps) My viewdistance in the DayZ notepad is sceneComplexity=100000; viewDistance=1600; preferredObjectViewDistance=1600; And my Object detail ingame is on very low (i think its how far it renders, Very high = very high view distance) Will this affect the distance I see players from? Does this mean I can't see players very far off, thus putting me at a disadvantage?

hello. I play on the aussie servers, and been playing for quite a while. Before I used to play only on low people servers(since I'm afraid of dying). But lately i've been playing on more crowded servers, but I'm not sure if its only the servers here, or if its worldwide, I haven't met ONE nice guy with a gun. I've been gunned down at Elektro in search of mosins for a couple of days, died up to 10 times, and never found a mosin. Any help? (how to not die in big cities without a weapon, and anywhere else besides Elektro that has a steady mosin spawn)

I wonder why people don't rob me :( would seem more fun wouldn't it What about mosin locations after the patch? Can't seem to find any

hello, after the new patch, everytime I open dayz, my name is lenovo (my computer account name). After this I go to Dayz Folder to change the name and tweak with the view distance since I'm on a low end computer. But if I open up Dayz game again, it always makes a new account and notepad named lenovo (computer account name). What's happening?
