Just a mention (incase people arn't aware) I had to use the DayZ Medics today, however before they got to me, I managed (with broken legs) to climb on top of a hospital to a flat roof for view of my location and safety. I got up the stairs by pressing V. May not be able to walk but V gets you up things even with broken legs.

Thank youuu I just had to utilize the medic service. Took about 10 - 15 mins for a response so pretty quick Thanks to the guy Simo who came to help me on top of the hospital in Electro to splint my legs ;)

I'm a mega wimp wouldn't have chosen DayZ if the survival aspect wasn't there cos I hate zombies. When I first encountered a zed i decided to tackle it and see what punching did, nothing to lose. Died. Last time I got shit scarred I exited a building in one of the cities turned to the right to walk, i immediatly saw someone backed up to the wall with a mask and rifle, it didnt move straight away but i ran for it, looked back as i zig zagged away and saw 2 figures. I couldnt tell if it was a player and a zed or 2 zeds. But I was definitely shouting swear words. It's players that move a lot and equip their weps near me I'm scared of.

It would be the Kiwi im pretty sure, I've read not to eat ANY rotten fruit. I beleive charcoal tabs will help? Hi all, Had a situation last night which made me rage a tad. My most recent char had the best equip and items i've found so far and had travelled the furthest *pretty proud* I left my char in what I perceived to be a "safe place" - in the centre of a hedged area in a small cleared section a reasonable distance from a town. Upon my log in the next day, it lags a bit, the screen seemed to show the side of a building (odd as I was nowhere near buildings) though sometimes before the screen renders properly it shows something odd so I figure it was just one of those things. I also heard a zombie noise and hitting noise. Tried spamming W but before my screen even properly focused, i got the You are dead message. Just wondered if this is common? And whether there are better places to log out? Or I was just unlucky. Cheersss (I did do a thread search, so apologies if I missed an existing topic)

Cheers, ok well I'm pretty sure I do wait around for that long, sometimes longer before logging to make sure I havnt dragged any zeds with me. So perhaps I need to make sure I stay in one small area for longer, rather than treaking around. (Y)

I have yet to discover anything other than a bike helmet! I did however find a hardhat which was bright yellow... of which I decided probably isn't any better and is hella obvious, just asking for a headshot. Seen numerous hats but they offer no protection. I ain't no fool. I just look like one - in this bloody bike helmet!

Beware of bad French accents, got it. I only accepted help once where I picked up from the ground, luckily no harm came to me but i wasn't aware of this so cheers for the headsup. I too cannot be a bandit, just like to co-op wonder and explore.

I took a couple days/ almost a week out. My char has been sick and bleeding for a while now, also starving. I have 5 cans of pristine spaghetti in my invo I cannot open with my wrench *sadface* and the fact my screen is black and white due to my char being half dead kinda puts me off playing, and I have too much cool stuff to commit suicide. Trying to loot houses for a screwdriver or fresh fruit then getting chased for miles in the wrong direction by Zeds ain't cool. Time out until i can be bothered to stick it out a long stint.

This is also questionable in Skyrim, delve down to a sunken ship > search barrel > fresh apples > wow.

I am Kestrol I like stealth. Staying alive and exploring. Been playing a few weeks. I hate zombie games but DayZ is different ^_^

I don't trust anyone, I observe their movement. Masks do make me MORE cautious though. In relation to the gender thing, I'm a woman and play a female char but tbh you can barely tell once I'm equiping items and wearing gear because they look pretty butch already. So I don't think I get much of a different response.

I don't think i've heard the soda can noise, but certainly zombie groans. Literally sound like they're are behind me half the time, when your in a densely populated zombie town, pretend zombie noises are just irritating. As for the rabbits I've hardly seen any, yet I hear the noises continuously.

I agree here ^ Why do you need to see a strangers name, to get revenge? I want to distinguish allies, but once more physical feaures and apparel/equipment is added, the names theoretically wont be necessary because you ougt to know your own guys. Equally... I can see an advantage of name tags although I would only consider the idea if they are in very close proximity.
