I love when someone with 3 posts misinterprets and misconstrues something to try to derail it. This thread actually WAS full of winners, until you got here. /sarcasm Let me give you some homework, get mommy to help you with it, answer the following question: Where did I once in my original post, or in replies to others, say or even insinuate that anyone was having fun "wrong"? I clearly stated more than once in multiple ways that I had questions, to which others have actually answered, and that I was voicing an "opinion" : o·pin·ionəˈpinyən/noun 1. a view or judgment formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge.

I guess I should have put what I ended the OP with at the beginning... I was just wondering what drives that playstyle in this particular game... and if it will persist after everything is added. There have been enough posts and responses to come to a general consensus though. Wasn't meant to be a harsh post against anyone or their playstyle.

Ok that confirms what I just said to the last poster.... this is just a new map of counterstrike-ish games for straight KoS'ers... That actually makes a lot more sense, don't care what the devs are trying to create, there are guns, and people.... New game to use those guns, to kill people.... Gotya! Actually no I am not a roleplayer, nor am I looking at it as one... your responses lead me to believe that this is just a new map of Counterstrike... Which it most certainly can be if that's what you want, but it seems like a bit of a waste, to me anyway, to miss the point that drastically... That's why I asked. Just wondering.

Fair enough answer... But what if that person you shoot for his "ammo"... WAS a doctor? Or the scientist that had just found out what happened and how to kill the zombies off with just a little help from someone? "At least I've got 16 more rounds of ammo." <--- kinda thing? Doesn't it seem a waste to destroy the person, before finding out who they are and what they could possibly offer, for a few rounds and a ruined can of beans?... Or am I missing something?

I try different combinations anytime I die, depending on what I am able to find. I like to try different combinations of clothing to see if it actually has an effect on how some people view you when they run across you ingame... I've had some interesting results so far, its a fun little experiment!

I'll be honest, if you are deaf, this game will be quite a bit more difficult. My life has been saved numerous times due to hearing the footfalls, reloads, eating and drinking sounds of incoming/nearby players, may times above me or on the other side of a wall from me etc... With that said, a mic, for conveying your handicap when you DO see another player, would definitely be the way to go, they can then at least have the option to choose whether or not to type out communication. As it stands, not hearing commands or questions from other players can get you killed well before you type a message and they look down to read it. Beans for the effort! 300 hours of gameplay for me, and I can tell you this, I've learned real quick that death is everywhere in this game lol. I've lost everything more times than I can count to everything from ladders to trusting a random person. It's never something I want to happen, but I don't even worry about gear anymore lol, I've actually come to enjoy trying to kit out and dress differently after every death, and see the differences it makes. Every coastal start is a new chapter in your story, follow it till the end then start the next one. Works for me!

may want to just copy/paste your updated post to the original post, a lot of people don't read entire threads and will miss the update if you don't.... Also, sorry you got duped, but I have to admit... I lol'd at the update, I think i'd have preferred a friend accidentally force feeding me bullets over what really happened :rolleyes:

Out of curiosity, can I ask where you heard that? I'd love to have some soft confirmation that this is true! I honestly haven't searched for that or heard it, but I also haven't been paying much attention.

Unfortunately you probably wont find hoppers... They move from server to server until they have tons of loot, and then open their backpack and stare at it a lot. Loving it so much that if it is threatened, they leave the game instantly, only to come back later to stare at it again. Alone. I like to imagine them as tiny little leprechauns... Quiet, sad little things, who's only real relationship is with their belongings. I wonder if leprechauns masturbate into their pot of gold? :o

I haven't run into this a lot, but was just curious if anyone else had. Server info will not say anything about 24 hour day or night, it will seem like a regular server, and say the time says it is 11:07 game time, I log in and it is pitch black, or it will say 23:00 hours, and it will be broad daylight. Did not see anything searching for this, and like it said it is fairly rare, just wondering if I am missing something or if it is a known issue?

What do you mean by "crappy server", and getting booted? Not sure how long you have played but a suggestion would be to favorite the servers you like and frequent them. I have 10 hardcore and 10 regular servers on favorites I have added over my 300 hours of gameplay, I normally do not deviate from them. Doing this will help alleviate getting kicked by private servers, don't know what your definition of crappy is for a server, but I would bet it would help with this as well!

My initial post(s) were not pointing out anything about your grammar. It was your snarky remarks that led to it. You derailed your own thread by saying one thing and meaning another... now, since you brought it up... Let me school you a bit... I pointed out the grammar correction due to your snarky remark. I have 2 degrees, and did my time in the military, first combat situation in 1995 in Bosnia, which I have PROOF of, as well as my injuries, accolades, and fuck ups in life. The OP has asked you to be honest. I am unsure if your response, based on his responses to posts in this threat, will be construed as honesty. He may well request or even require that you adjust this statement to say that you are a killer, so as to fit the need of ensuring that the title of this threat remain viable. I'm always too busy listening to the surroundings for footsteps and sloppy tuna consumption... or reloading of an M4 from afar... Or the zombie I pissed off I didn't see... The sound of my continued survival is the music to my ears. :P
