I don't see what is wrong with reading someones findings after they have done what you mention. It doesn't make sense to me to tell someone "HEY don't learn from others now watch me find out if this propane tank explodes after I shoot it at various ranges starting with point blank. I don't need to read no damn warning label that was decided upon by other peoples findings that's for mommy boys." You went to school right or did you learn arithmetic on your own in the dark since the light will help you see and thats some nanny state BS. I understand your point but some people just need help and have a hard time learning things on their own.

You do understand that Merinos guide is still really accurate on the process and good tips for keeping healthy. Also if you read the thread a bit more you would see that Merino understand his guide might be a little outdated and is going to be re updateing older videos to the new builds. This however takes time to do and since he is also experimenting for other videos and has other ideas for video he is busy and is working as fast as he can. Newtons theory of gravity might be a bit out dated compared to Eisenstein theories but they are still a good jumping off point and applicable .

If your healthy status isn't popping up do something that might change your status. Some people might get a bug that doesn't update status properly from time to time. So try to clean wounds with alcohol (I know it doesn't work atm) or trying bleeding then bandage (I know how medieval). I think it resets the status and might make your healthy status pop up. I am speculating this off of my friend whom ate a bunch of rice water sodas and other goodies. He for sure thought he was healthy but the status was not popping up. He then got hit by a zombie was bleeding bandaged up and the healing status came up and he was healthy. Now this also might be just coincidence of him getting the status from his food fully digesting but hey I don't know man. I recently had a fresh spawn only drank a couple sodas and my friend force fed me some rice maybe one or 2 handfuls and boom I was healthy in a bit. I find it weird how people don't get healthy as fast as I do noobs :rolleyes:. No I am just kidding :P. Also seriously watch and re watch merinos guides until you understand they are very accurate and well articulated. Also they will save your life more than a axe or gun ten times over.

I think this is something they will be doing down the road at least I hope but right now its so early alpha you know. I know, I know every one says it alpha and I know you know that and it is just a suggestion so I am not trying to say "shut up its alpha". I think containers will be something once we get tents/construction in the game. Also when we have more ways of eating drinking and crafting items he might lower spawn rates and put in containers. It would be nice to go in a damn house and open a fridge or shelf to get my stuff not be like ooo a pile of shit someone left behind in a hurry.

I think right now they are a placeholder for future masks but will be kept because they are wicked cool way to identify bandits.

Right! I love how he says that part of Deans inspiration is Mad Max and Thunder then goes on to say masks don't fit with the vision. Ummm have you watched mad max or thunder dome and seen what they wore? I think the masks are way better than some of the outfits in the movie.

They are going to add crossbows they are already on the list though bows would be nice too. I don't know if wood types for different characteristics is a good idea in the short term but long term it might be something interesting. I would really like bows in game from simple wood ones to compound bows. The only question is how much damage should they do? Should they be a one hit kill in chest and head (head of course)? Should they take multiple to the chest to kill someone? That is where the difference of the bows from compound to simple ones would come in also you wood characteristics. I know that the crossbow & bow would probably mainly used for hunting, killing zomboids, and not for killing humanoids but it would be nice to. P.S. Just ignore Dashx73 he seems to be a bit of a cranky dude or troll. Unless he does say something constructive if he does listen to him but that post above is a bit silly since this is something Dean said will be in game.

To post pics like us cool cats. When posting you should see one of the options at top bars that looks like a picture. Click that and it should pop up with a window that ask you to put in the URL for picture. Copy the URLs in there and you should be good to go.

Also another thing you can try just kill your fresh spawn and your old character should be back. Also make sure you are picking the right server though it seems to work no matter what server. This does not work if you truly lost your character only if the server is not loading the save right. My friend and I both tried (not really bandits killed us and we noticed this happened) this and it seemed to work be nice to get more confirmation from others though.

If you haven't truly lost you old character try just killing your new fresh spawn and then go to a server you know is good and he might come back. I died last night with my fresh spawn from this server save problem only to be killed later on. I logged for a bit came back tried finding a proper server and boom my character was back. My friend tried the same thing he fresh spawned got killed by bandit right quick then joined another server presto he came back as old toon. So I think if you just kill your fresh spawn every time this issue arises you should get your old guy back unless you truly lost him. I wonder if this refreshes the saves or something.

I haven't noticed it but I am never good at that kind of thing. Make a ticket in feedback under the bug report section of the forum help out the dev team.

You would think we should be and if no major explosions harmed facilities it might be possible to they are still running auto. This is a general problem with the game though (I don't mean like a problem we need to solve). There are gonna be ass hats who take advantage of in-game "camouflage". Be it saying hey I'm friendly its cool then blasting you or being a wolf in sheep's clothing.

They kinda have this already if you put your hands up instantly and lean from left to right or wave and do it or just wave also high fives. Though what you suggest would be cool only problem is it kind of puts a target on your but like you said they are gonna shoot anyways. If it wasn't a stick sticking up life a flag pole off your back then it would be interesting to see. I think making armbands would be cool too having player designated colors for bandits heros neutrals and other types. They did add a UN beret to the game so I am hoping that can be a way to say "I'm here to help don't shoot please friendly" would be nice. Edit: Another thing is that stick+rags are already a crafting recipe for a splint. It is going to have to be a different combo or new variants of rags/sticks.

They added this in the new build they just applied. I don't know if it is as in depth as you have it here since I cant find any damn berry bushes. I do know that the can make you sick and very sick in some cases. Still though good idea and nice job Secreting that shit to existence man.
