I for one will miss this "bug" once it is gone. You see if a zombie came at me I could bring em inside cover/a house no problem. This allowed me to stop or control the number of zombies I would have to fight. The other zombies would less of a chance of seeing or hearing me. Another thing it helps with is making sure you are safe from the possible KOS player just seeing you in the middle of town going at it with a horde of zombies. While leaving you open perfectly to the nice bullets he wants you to have.

Disease infections and the things associated with it are not even in the game or are not implemented fully. The latter about not fully implemented pertains to antibiotics and the like while the former is talking about disease and infection.

Painkillers currently do absolutely nothing in game right now other than take up space. If you have pain the only thing you can do is walk it off or take morphine to stop your guy from crying like a child on a playground with a scrapped knee. If your leg is broken only way to fix it is make a splint using a rag and a stick or morphine until then you are crawling mister.

It could have been maybe probably was a zombie that got you. At times when I log out I wait for a bit and then some random zombie I pulled comes running up.

I love how our first world lives have made us forget that the world every where else is a horrible crappy place to live. With roaming gangs that go around they kill and kidnap girls who go to school. Then you have the people who just want to survive till tomorrow so sometimes they do a little something they probably shouldn't have done. Then with our luxury we wish to go back and experience how we once used to live tribal and flighty scared and alone. I haven't heard about him but I have heard about a polish sniper who used only iron sights. He had an impressive kill count at various ranges wish I remember his name or more than that.

My experience so far I have rubber banded a bit so still problem with that for me or what ever. Zombies messed my face up so I kind of love/hate zombie durability from a fire axe attack. In this one incident it forced me to use my gun because the damn thing broke my arm and I was bleed like a stuck pig. Going back in for a swim right now.

Yep there are nice people it is just the luck of the draw mate. Now this story took place on an experimental server where I have found the more social/nice people. Any way yesterday going to damn fast near an edge of the firehouse roof I fell off & I broke my darn leg. Instead of deciding to opt out and make a fresh spawn I said "NO NO NO I am going to find a stick to make a splint or find some morphine." So I went around the town I was in for an hr or so just crawling around keeping on the look out for people trying to sneak up on me. Until finally I caught someone trying to sneak up on me from behind so I took a position were he could only come at me from the front and waited for him to introduce him self. As he begins to approach me I am saying over the mic while pointing my sawed off at him, "hey hey lets keep it cool man ok! Don't do anything stupid and neither will I". The sneaky snake was fumbling for his mic trying to say "friendly friendly! Not gonna do anything to you my gun is not even out do you need any help?" While keeping my gun trained on him because I have had enough run ins and seen enough youtube videos to not be too trusting I say "hey man do you have anything to fix my broken leg? I fell of the damn fire house roof and been crawling around for a hour." He responds "oh you got a broken leg I got just the thing" and he starts making me a splint. I never took my gun off him and he never asked me not to he was totally relaxed in the situation which was a curious thing. He put the splint on the ground I put my gun away and started putting the splint on. Now some people at this point are saying big mistake he is now going to attack you and I thought the same thing so I was ready if he did but he did nothing just watched my back. I fell in love with this gentlemen he saved my ass and wanted nothing in return except some info on if I saw anything he was looking for so we chatted for a bit then went on our separate ways.

I did that's why I wrote what I wrote. You said this "Standalone is a straight rip off COD" then "The similarities between these two games when it comes to the attachments is alarming". Anyone who knows and plays Bohemia games know this is demonstrably false. You then go on a tirade about how it is so unrealistic for attachments to increase my guns stats i.e accuracy/stability. No duh they add this to the game because in real life the gear on my gun and my comfort with the handling of a weapon matter. A stock that is made to griped for stability or is easier to mount on stable surfaces increase my stability and accuracy than if my stock was just a RIS stock. The butt of my gun that has a sniper type set up is better for my accuracy and stability than a CQC butt. Which is made to shorten the gun and allow tight turns in close quarters thus decreasing my stability and accuracy since its not made to be used as a marksman butt. Its a game and in a game you have pure data and statistics and since we can not apply our real life skills into this data we work around that. We do this by having parts of a gun increase it stats to reflect real life skill. I am sure that ACE will be coming to DayZ SA which will make the game a lot more "realistic" we just have to wait and see if they will let us mod the game.

Also wait a bit sometimes it take a while for the to pop up.

I dont even use my chearnus+ map on DayZ DB anymore I know the map so well now. It will be nice to learn the roads next once cars are in.

Is this serious is this guy for real? Do you even Bohemia brah? Do you even ARMA 3? Do you not understand that they ripped this off from ARMA 3? You can't really say it is ripping ARMA off because they work together come on. I haven't played the newest COD so did they add the ability to replace my stock butt or sights (no duel sights) of the gun on the fly in the middle of a fire fight? Do my sights get visually damaged and stop working if they are damaged in a firefight? Did they add the ability to have my gun be completely naked with nothing on it? Did they add the ability for my gun to slowly deteriorate over time from use and abuse? In the new cod did they add a weapon cleaning kit that cleans my gun from the use and abuse? The cleaning kit is a definite must have attachment for any gun owner. Can my gun or mags/bullets get damaged in a firefight and I am then no longer able to use said weapon mag or bullets? Am I able to take bullets out of the mags of smallers clips and use them to fill my larger clips? Does the integrity of my weapon and its attachments have an effect on my shots accuracy stability distance and possibly damage. These are some of the things that make up the gun mechanics and attachment mechanics of DayZ & we are not even in beta can't wait to see what else that add that is so like COD. :rolleyes:
