    This is my second post on the DayZ Forums,.

     

    I notice whenever I get into a gunfight, I shake uncontrollably, and always end up getting killed. Every time there's a gunshot, my hand spazzes out at like, a million miles an hour, I can't help it! 

     

    Yet, I see these dudes on YouTube who can take on a group of 4 fully decked-out players and not even flinch. But for me, when there's a gunfight, I ALWAYS get killed. I've never won a gunfight... what do I do?

    We all used to be like that. I remember having shot everywhere but the target, and end up trying to beat someone to death with my bandages... Panic is a natural response.

     

    The truth is I only became desensitized once I got into a LOT of gunfights, and afterwards it doesn't bother you anymore, You become used to the pressure of the situation. All or nothing, all the time.

     

    And you have to set your own ground rules, or law of armed conflict if you will... Like when you tell someone to put the gun down or put their hands up and they won't within 5 - 7 seconds, it's open season. Or if you shoot, you better kill me because otherwise I'm taking your beans while I let you bleed out near a pack of zeds. It helps to think more clearly about it.

    I honestly want them to work, I feel like my options are so limited when it comes to hand to hand combat. I'm almost always forced to shoot vs being shot at then being able to bayonet someone or a zed. Hell I'd be satisfied with a butt-stroke or using the gun as a bludgeon if no ammo is available.

     

    Also they should have the same damage value as a splitting axe at least.  Not a fire axe, but definitely a splitting axe.

     

    So many Ideas come to mind.... /sigh.  Imagine all the bambis you could kill with a functioning bayonet.

    Not tryin to break up the fight or anything, but after Dean leaves, Bohemia is gunna do whatever the player base wants, so they can squeeze out every single penny from us.

     

    And sadly, the player base wants little floaty name tags and team/ party identifcation methods.

     

    Just throwin that out there..... Please continue..... I'm just gunna eat mah beans over here :beans:

    I'd keep the mosin, I've found the sks to be pretty weak.

     

    Yea but dat sound tho.

     

    The SKS has such a beefy sound to it, it's like firing 12 inch dildos with a bazooka.

     

    But the Mosin does look so sexy when it's painted.....

     

    I'm about to just toss a coin for it.

    So I killed a guy at airfield and took his SKS (Just another routine Banditry). I got a spray painted Mosin with compensator but no scope, so I was wondering if it's a fair trade, or is one better than the other for keeps. SKS has bayonet but no scope. Also looted 2 10 round clips for it as well.

     

    Opinions are valued :D

    So I was at Cherno, with my character who managed to survive on max population servers for roughly 3 weeks now.

     

    I wanted to try and find a pair of black cargo pants to fit the rest of my awesome full black outfit with M4. I walked into one of the warehouses where I wanted to look for the cargo pants, WHEN I FUCKING FELL OFF THE GOD DAMN RAILING and broke my fucking leg.

     

    Needless to say I had some morphine on me right? WRONG no morphine. Well no big deal let me make a splint that's just as good. Oh ruined rags..... And ruined bandages..... WHY THE FUck WAS MY WHOLE PACK RUINED??? FROM FALLING 2 GOD DAMN FEET????

     

    Alright sailor, how bad do you wanna survive? Time to crawl your ass to a hospital or a barn to make a splint/ or get some morphine. You got this tiger, it's time to live. Oh fuck me, there's a Zed. And there's another one.

     

    Time to pop them with my .... RUINED M4???????? PANIC PANIC PANIC

     

    AXE, HALP MEH........... How the fuck is there 5 zombies on me?? Oh wait you can't swing your axe from prone position.

     

    Speed crawl away from them? Nope. The zombies shat all over me as I crawled there helplessly. And then.... after 5 minutes of crawling and getting mauled by a pack of zombehs.....

     

    YOU ARE UNFUCKINGCONCIOUS

     

    Oh god. I laughed and cried at the same time. By far the worst death I have ever experienced. So helpless. GG

    @Thane, stop being so bitter man, obviously I made a dumb mistake.  So dramatic....... :o

    @Gandalf how is that a " legitimate survival tactic" ? Im not asking to be a sarcastic prick, I just want to know how you would define it.

     

    Is there any thread or rulebook that says you can't POS a geared player as a fresh spawn? No

     

    Are you stupid if you are geared and go to a coastal city and you still managed to get knocked the fuck out by a freshspawn? Absolutley

     

    The point is that there is no set of conduct to obey by when it comes to survival. Kill or be killed, or in this case punched or be shot.

    Getting the healthy status makes enabling post process obsolete, because I'm already aware of my health status.

    If you're in it for the game experience I don't recommend playing it like that just yet, because the screen bluriness is way to much for even minor damages or scratches.
