    Noob Can't Find Gauges

Are you talking about the HUD status meters in the MOD version of the game? They are not in the SA version.

I am legitimately scared every time I log in

Friendly advice: don't use lanterns/headlamps/flashlights/weapon lights anywhere remotely near an airfield. That's just asking for trouble.

    (NOT Tedious Anymore!)

Jumling... don't give up hope. I think you found a server(s) that had been looted already. My advice for a new player is to avoid Cherno/Elektro on populated servers... they will be looted by the time you get there, and you're taking the chance someone with weapons will KoS or just mess with you for the fun of it. The same holds for Berezino -- everyone knows the backpack/mosin spawn locations there and if there are more than five people on the server, those spots will probably be looted by the time you get there. Instead, find the nearest water pump, drink until you get the "my stomach is full" message, and then run like a madman INLAND (IMPORTANT: make sure you have your fists up to sprint, you will cover ground a LOT faster). Loot barns and houses as you go (you'll find a lot more unlooted areas away from the coast). From Kamy, run to Msta/Staroye > Guglovo > Novy Sobor. From Solnichniy, run to Dolina > Polana > Guglovo > Novy Sobor. By the time you get to Novy Sobor, you have everything on the list below. Use the online maps here and here to help navigate. Couple of tips: - AVOID zombies at all costs until you get a Fire Axe. If you're forced to fight a Zombie with your fists, punch him in the head and run away while he's on the ground. You CAN win a fistfight with a Zombie, but it's a pain in the ass, wastes valuable time, and you will take unnecessary damage. If you're bleeding, use the shirt you spawn with to fashion a bandage. - After you've drunk yourself "full," your Looting Priority should be as follows: Axe (preferably Fire Axe) Backpack Food Items/Soft Drinks Clothing (to be torn up into rags for makeshift bandages) CompassThis should be enough gear to make a push towards one of the military installations, where you can find weapons and ammo.

    Loot in military camps.

It depends on which base you're looting... I didn't have any luck at the NE airfield last night. But this morning I was looting at one of those "mini-bases," and I found far more weaponry and ammo than I could carry. Within 15 minutes I'd found THREE M4s... along with Magnums and ACP45s (and ACP magazines!) I had my best luck looting the barracks (i.e., the long "military residential" buildings with the showers in the first door to the left). Make sure you look under the bottom bunk in the "dorm rooms"... that's where I found the first M4, totally by accident. After that, it seemed like they were everywhere.

    Ultimate Mosin Hunting Guide

Berezino. Berezino. Berezino. There are multiple Mosin spawn locations -- a school/hospital bldg, orange brick houses, red brick "arch" houses, "piano" houses, etc. I was there this morning and found one on the top floor of the hospital. I found two more during my looting trip northward through the town. This was all within 20 minutes of my initial spawn in Solnichniy! I've never found so many Mosins so quickly before. The problem now is finding some 7.62 ammo! Not sure how the new northeast town (Svetloyarsk) will change the dynamic, but unless I get the super-rare Novy spawn, I'm running to Berezino to gear up from now on.

I think you mean NORTHEAST coast. I think your compass is broken.
