I have appealed it, been on the issueslist (issue 95) since a few hours before i made that post. Whats funny, is that most likely i have video proof in the streamers archives most likely.

There are obviously issues with the system involved, considering i've been banned. It's kinda hard to hack when the only time you play is with a streamer ya know.

I get banned with the exact same message, it gets fucking annoying cause i can't play on half the servers i join, and it always seems to be the servers my friends decide to play on. If anyone can provide a message for what causing it... -

Except the issues with the game haven't been the protection, but the engine itself. If there are 50 holes in the boat, you cant blame the one guy who supposed to cover every hole when the boat sinks. -

You've gotten used zombies, so i'll skip that. 1. Learn sniper positions. Near every major city there is at least one or two major sniper positions. Learning where they are, and how to avoid being shot once you recognize a threat on one of them, is the most important lesson you can learn. 2. Avoid top of buildings. With the exceptions of the Vybor school, Cherno Triple Yellow (and that other one next to it), and a few other isolated spots, any building top is just asking for a sniper to kill you. 3. Never stay in one spot for long. If someone, anyone, is aware of your location, they can easily find a way to get you in a killzone. So when looting, do it quickly, never stay in one spot for long without a friendly watching your back. 4. Find a group or at least a partner. Having one person to watch your back, share ammo with, blood bag you, and other various things adds days to your life expectancy. 5. Avoid open fields. While it may seem quicker running across 400-500 meters of field rather then skirting it and going the full 1KM, it's not worth it. I can't tell you how many people i've seen in the corner of my eye on an opposite field running without a care in the world, just asking for a bullet in their head. 6. Never act stupid. What i mean by this, never just run up to a city or location without assessing it.Zombies? did you spawn them? If you have binocs look into the treelines of possible shooter locations. Then, and only them, move into the city. 7. Avoid getting close to cities if you dont need or want to go there. For example, trying to get to Starry Sobor? Dont get close to novy sobor or Kabanino. Either city can easily be seen by a sniper on a decent visibility server, resulting in them knowing your location and being on the lookout for you. -

Streamer Gorgenzola and his friends have been getting harassed by hackers for almost this entire day. Finally resulting in a "war" between two hackers over their fate. Happened over a variety of servers. Just wanted this brought to attention before we hear any possible threads about them hacking or some shit.

just who the hell do you think you are and how stupid are you? He's fixing bugs, he's fixing exploits, thats what he's doing. Rebalancing loot spawn points? Thats opinion. Water pumps in all cities? why the hell do you need that?, you can find water almost everywhere. The only spot in the map that doesn't have easy to access water is NEAF/Kraznatov, which has lakes to the east and a big town to find sodas in, let alone go to a place nearby with water. helicopters? He's fixing that, takes work. Work he'd rather be doing stuff that he and the development team finds important, not some dumbshit who posts on the forums. Item duplication is tied into how the hive servers work, and requires a shitload of work to fix, possible changing the entire save system. Changing the zombie animation requires actual animators, not coders. This means that while it will come, that it will take time. And finally, the whole backpack thing is a ARMA issue, not just a dayz issue. thats for BI to work on. tl;dr stop being a bitch.

if your running from a third party launcher reinstall the launcher as well and delete all relating files that are not pure arma 2.

So i'm a huge fan of the DMR, but am fairly limited by it's range. So i was wondering, what is the range based on the unzoomed dmr scope? I've figured out that the last mildot is app. 900-1100 in range, but can't figure out the exact. So, anyone know the unzoomed mildots?

Actually they're not a problem at all. You can remove them all if you've got a toolbox. It's just a bit difficult to aim at the wire to get the action to remove it. Concerning the wipe, I guess only the staff knows if it's the right moment. I want to remember you guys that we're currently in a early testing phase and you all have accepted the risk (since you decided to join this mod) to loose all of your hard earned equ. this is the wrong response considering around 80% of the barbedwire isn't there due to be placed there and not removed, but because server resets respawn barbed wire. While this is supposedly fixed (vipeax mentioned that it might be fixed in upcoming patch on puddns stream) in the upcoming patch, until then barbed wire is just messed up. If this fix doesn't happen, i would propose a higher spawn ratio of toolboxes or having a hatchet able to remove a section of barbed wire temporarily (tell me you couldn't use the back end to knock out the barbwire stands)

serverload for that many zombies...insane. I'd rather make it so that some zeds are constantly at cities (say 10-20 based on size) and that more spawn in when you get within 1km of the city. This makes it so even someone with sniper range can't tell if there are nearby players since at 1km+ you wont be able to tell for sure if those prespawn zeds are player spawned, and any closer and you wont know if you spawned them or not.

I agree, the biplane would be a great addition. Give it a "drop cargo" option for even more fun.

idc what the real problem is but there was a problem so move on there's got to be something going on, whatever it seems fixed your kind of an idiot aren't ya? DDos attacks aren't even hacking. All it is getting the IP address (easy to get, just check the connection) and spamming it. Reddit does accidental DDos all the time when people post a link to a private website and it makes the front page. -
I once suggested adding that gun, but vipeax went pissy about how it would ruin the combat type they are trying to set up.

So today i was playing on a few servers, switching around to find one that wasn't raining. After playing a bit on Dallas 22 the game froze up. Now the last several times i've tried to launch Arma, through beta and and main, it's not launching. It gets to the second to last checkmark and begins "not responding". Any helpful hints?
