    Sporterized Rifles?

    Problem with "Sporterizing" is lugs, frontsights, and flash supressors were usually chopped off, due to length laws, "assault weapon" laws, and blahblah, ends up being just a sawed-off rifle. Like the one in the middle of the pic you posted...some prick did that do a beautiful No. 5 I have. It was however very common stateside from 60's-90's, dunno about elsewhere.

Learn the map and landnav, it's worth it.
  3. ...I wear my boots all the time, am just as sneaky in them as I am in shoes, or barefoot for that matter. The condition and style matter almost null, it's all about speed. For gameplay sake I could see style, but condition not so much...beat up worn in foorwear is always less squeaky.

    I'd like to see a bell curve based around player stats and health. Some stronger and some weaker, all immune to pain, illness, and fatigue(once added). No negative reactions or hinderance due to moderate injuries, only lethal/mortal wounds. I don't really think anyone is advocating 1 shot any location kills, and if they are, well...I highly doubt zombies will be anywhere near that pathetic.

    A side note on this too. I shoot with both eyes open with iron, an M68, or my 8-12x, adding blur would not be realistic for the above mentioned issues. I adjust focus and sweep areas with little to no noticable issue because how quickly the human eye focuses. No need to move my head when my eyes can do the work, and no need to pull my cheek away from the weapon. The mag and edge lose when peering through a scope, would really dig that though.

    not "just going to be" always have been. They aren't zombies in the Romero sense, they are infected ala 28Days Later. Generally these two terms are interchangable, but they are very different.

    Hahah, I was hoping someone would remember where that post was. I couldn't for the life of me find it. Was one on correcting the completely wrong mag levels. To fix this issue. No luck either?
  10. Always, from a bout 800-1k I start to survey and slow approach. Works well in-game too.

    if you've got money, clean record, money, and some more money and you're stateside and you don't live on either coast...doable ;p just don't expect to be able to carry it, open or concealed. Unless you're in Kentucky..I bet the CCW laws cover it there, crazy loose CCW rules there.

    Mag on all optics with magnification isn't correct yet. Red dots are generally 1x(no mag) and ACOG's are 4x.

    when done adjusting the cfg file save, exit, right click, set to read-only. If you alter some in-game settings it may overwrite your manual changes. Setting it to read-only locks it from the game changing and saving any values.

    Depending on range, 22 is still very much lethal. Mob pistol of choice for a long time to execute people. Rifle just increases the range of lethality.

    see my previous post with links and just commit the map to memory and use your landnav skills. Take you all of a week tops to have the map down pat. Maps in game, novelty item, that is all.

    I fail to see how any of the current firearms would be considered "cool" as they are all either common or very outdated. Save the FNX, which is just a bit out of place but Herstal does produce and sell a heap of firearms so not completely out.

    Your reading comprehension leaves much to be desired. Those were carryovers from ArmaII, no business in Dayz, hence removed. But hey, we can't all be brilliant like you. Since Or3goniz3d is in fact stating that because the gun is cool it should be in-game. Which you clearly failed to grasp.

    M16/4's have proliferated worldwide. There's almost no place where you couldn't find one. Not saying it'd be easy and there'd be a metric ton of them, but they are a common firearm...we sold lots of 'em to many, many different nations. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M4_carbine#Users

    How to join experimental servers?

    steam>library>right click dayz>properties>beta tab>switch dropdown menu to betas>download>play edit in-game, filter server browser with exp or experimental else you'll still pull stable servers up.
