I wouldn't mind seeing a 16 gauge shotgun. IRL they are basically the perfect combo of the 12 gauge in terms of power and the low kick/sound of a 20 gauge. It's a shame they aren't as common as they used to be.

Stay away from the shotgun(s), here is why.

And Gews saves the day again. I really think the idea of a speed loader if a double barrel is stupid, at least in game. You should be able to hit r and reload the shotty without "mags", and add the ability to mix and max shells like load 1 buck and 1 slug. -
Which makes me wonder why people say it's en exploit to use the gamma trick during a full moon. I live in the middle of the woods with no street lights and if there is a full moon then you can easily see a pretty good ways, like maybe 200-300 yards if there'S nothing obstructing your view.

Let me punch you in the jaw and lets see if you don't get knocked out. You don't have to be Mohamed Ali or Mike Tyson to do a 1 hit KO from the front moron.
-
Not to mention probably goes to the high traffic cities. As soon as I spawn I go to the nearest water pump and head in land. I was maybe 10 minutes from the international airfield once from doing that
-
Not to mention tell them not to turn around and face you. Everyone makes this mistake,
-
TL:DR. Your just going to contribute to the problem rather than just avoid it all together.
-
The way speed loaders should work in the game should, in theory, be like mags for any other gun. All you gotta do is hit r to reload but you'd have to manual load the speed loaders. By attach you mean like have a rack set up to hold the speed loaders? No, this is an old WW2 shotgun so you wouldn't do it with out jimmy rigging the shotgun. The only thing you could do without ruining the gun itself is just use a sleeve that holds rounds, but that could get in the way of aiming since 12 gauges are pretty fat rounds

If the damage values were a lot better mine would be the bat. Uber low profile, like the splitting ax doesn't stick out when your popping a squat in a bush, and have you ever hit someone with a baseball bat? 2-3 good swings and someone is 6 feet under, well too the head at least. But current I normally take the fire ax and keep it in my bag. I know it takes up less space but it doesn't effect the draw speed. There was one in the mod and if its in the mod good chance of it carrying over.

Come on people lurk a little bit before you post the same question/statement that already has a lot of threads for it. -
Personally I like being whipped, makes me feel like I've done something naughty....

Day Z Luck (If there's one other guy in server, I run into him)
Deity replied to gorillaCHEEZ's topic in General Discussion
You spooked someone. Because you were in a high traffic area. I've killed plenty of unarmed people that way in the airfields if a buddy of mine died I kept the area on full lock down. Get over it, it happens to everyone at some point -

So its hacks that cause you to die from 1 shot, or just be very unlucky to spawn in near someone. You aren't the only one with that idea in mind. That's like crying about being killed when running across the airfield. -

Serves you right for server hopping. You should of either made a run from the guys originally or followed their instructions -
Zompocaplypse - How long ago did it happen?
Deity replied to Admiral_69's topic in General Discussion
This is why my plan would be to pack my back pack with supplies, grab my 30-30, 9mm and head further into the hills I already live in and camp it out for a while. -
This x100. SKS isn't even a DMR, it's a semi auto carbine. It's a best good at medium ranges.

Deity replied to Admiral_69's topic in General Discussion
I would say it couldn't be more than a couple of years if that. Fresh fruit could be explained by other survivors coming from farms and stuff with the general idea of helping others/ trade fodder. Vehicles rusted over and missing a lot of interior/exterior cosmetics can be explained by fires, then weather elements rusted the remains. -
That video makes me want to punch the reviewer in his dumb accented balls. Just because some people refuse to give something a shot and adapt to something different doesn't mean the game sucks. I had no issue with getting used to arms controls and I used to play BF series religiously. And besides, whats everyones favorite phrase? IT'S IN ALPHA. P.S. How does 62 other players play time account for their opinion or even out weight the fact over 1 million copies have been sold

Rocket answers to everyone who complains about 3D view
Deity replied to gamer222's topic in General Discussion
But playing in 1st person is a serve handicap for playing a survival since you are limited to 90 degrees. It makes ambushing people pretty easy with camo and grass. I've seen and done it too many times. There is really no way I know up to extend the first person view beyond 90 degrees unless curved monitors are made, you dual monitor and the game designers take advantage of dual monitoring. It's why a lot of people will go 3rd person because you actually have that FoV you need in 1st person. Not saying I agree with using it see around corners and what not but its my reason for using it. -

Deity replied to gamer222's topic in General Discussion
I don't think you understand what I mean by 90 degree view. I'm referring to your field of vision when you look straight on. Humans have around 180 degree of view in any direction they look. Looking over your shoulder doesn't have any place in this. -

There is really no way to fix over looking walls and covers from 3rd because due to the fact the camera/view has to be above the character or else you might as well not use 3rd person. I really don't see why 3PV is even an issue. Having the option opens the game up to more people and different styles of playing. Besides 1PV isn't even really accurate in any game. You are stuck with a 90 degree view. -
Mosin is horrible unless your accuracy is 100%
Deity replied to DayzForumer's topic in General Discussion
Which in turns makes the accuracy better. Yes the way it works in game doesn't make sense but it's Alpha. What IS worth bitching about is the god damn compensater having the same effect, when all it does irl is reduce muzzle climb at the cost of bigger muzzle flash and increase noise. -
Tired of running in Dayz, here is the solution
Deity replied to weedmasta's topic in General Discussion
Yeah I don't get it either. I have a 10$ keyboard I can soak in water for about 5 minutes and it's clean. People these days. -

That's the spray paint bug going on, if you actually would surf through the threads you would know that. And it's a sniper it should have a 1 hit kill, it's really the whole point of sniping. -
New Stuff never found before and never mentioned in patch notes
Deity replied to Funkmasterflex's topic in General Discussion
I think you could fire, the 7.62 x 51mm in the Mosin but it would have less accuracy and possibly range. So interchangeability doesn't mean no new guns. The only thing would be when you chamber the round there would be a loose fit in the bore of the gun and you would need to clean it just in case in real life, like you would when firing a .38 out of a .357. And for all the other guys on the debate about the .308 and NATO round, why are y'all even on even debating about it, until Dean/Dev team adds in a round called .308 Winchester then it's just the Standard 7.62 x 51 mm and yes there are differences between the NATO and commercial rounds. The 308 Winchester has a shorter bullet, but loaded for higher pressure and longer ranged shots than the NATO, and yes you can interchange them but it's debatable on if it's safe or not.
