This is a great sandbox game where everything is possible. I just wish people would stop building their sand castle the wrong way : (. (sarcasm) seems a little nuts to me. edit: was a little assholy to not give tips so here is some things I have learnt in the 30 or so hours thus far. If you’re worried about losing gear you’re going to have a bad time. If you hate kosers you’re going to have a bad time. If you think you can stroll down the street and should not be killed you’re going to have a bad time. If you think food is going to come easy you’re going to have a bad time. Sort of suits the game being a survival post apoc setting don’t you think? After all if that really happened you're going to have a bad time.

Holy crap you made my day, pure gold. I lone wolf it. Methodical, deliberate... if I get killed I let myself be seen so it’s no one’s fault but mine, if I kill it’s with a purpose might be I felt threatened or needed your beans. But I also will let myself get into risky spots just for a bit of fun.

Thats my point... that is the first time I have addressed/talked about the subjects and it was to prove a point, that I am not 100% happy with the game (he said I blindly support the game). But unlike these retards I did my homework and realise that 90% of the crap I am not happy with is being addressed or they cannot get to it yet. Why? (drum role please) its in alpha and as you said not in a playable state.

here are a few I dont like how guns handle atm - they spray everywhere and need to be more accurate or drop more as a balance. somewhat being addressed in next patch I think there needs to be more zombies - pretty simple and also being addressed. I think also food needs to be more rare - also being addressed. animations are weak and need work - also being addressed switching guns are realistic but buggy and need work - also being addressed. I have about 100 things I want/think need changing but I am not a ass about it... everything I suggest fits within the game (if it dose not I love to hear the communities reasons why and debate said subject, no just say its shit and act like a kid) I am not asking for a rocket powered Dragon to ride simply because I paid 30 dollars for the game nor am a saying the engine needs to change for no valid reason what so ever, I also understand the game is in alpha and there is a heap to do, and will give my opinion on what should be changed, why? I read the description did a little homework n loved the idea (there idea of a zombie game not mine) and said hay I want to be a part of it. edit: just because I love it now does not mean I will love it in a year but that is the fun imo... and if it turns out it's not what I wanted does not mean its shit or should change to suit me (that's why they call it early access on steam)

Anyone who buys the game is entitled to a opinion don't get me wrong. But what some of these idiots ask for is just retarded. You never buy a car then the next day call back and start yelling saying the car is shit because its not a scooter. The game is what it is, there is plenty of information to make a informed decision about the game, they even warn you before buying it hell rocket even has a post saying don't buy it (yet). If you think the game should change from being this to that you're a retard. If you think just because you spent 30 dollars without doing any research it should change you're a retard. I am sick of these kids buying a game then cry because its not what they 100% wanted then demand it changes. If you read up on the game know what its about and want to be apart of that in a constructive manner suggesting things that compliment such a game then welcome aboard. Otherwise piss off I say. I wish companies would stick up for themselves more and just ban idiots like this. edit so we are clear I only have played Sa so far and only have 30 hours played and am still deciding if i fully like it.

Seems broken? hate to be that guy but its in alpha. Secondly this game is great for being in alpha I've seen games ship with this many bugs even more **cough**bf4**cough** If you think this engine is sub par then you good sir need to look again. honestly I think a ban is in order no joke, I mean who are you too call there work shit, some self entitled asshat you must be.

potato launcher that knocks people out instead of killing them, Pipe with screw end, duck tap, hair spray, potato done. that or rubber bullets or bean bags for shotguns, I want a way to knock people out from range not just kill em. O and as for guns MP5 please and a paint ball gun for fun.

love it. adding things like books would be great, adding yet another layer to this great game... edit: adding that first person style to flying helis would be great I reckon. I agree with the skate point too in a way... while as I said the roads would be in pretty bad shape a balance could be they require a fair bit of upkeep compared to a mountain bike. Things like this can sir up big emotions in loyal fans and could be best addressed by servers themselves in the form of mods when they are released along with private servers/hives.\ EDIT EDIT lol: the other thing too is even though you may be faster in distance travelled it might end up faster by walking as you will be a kosers wet dream sticking to roads with skate shoes and what not.

There is a way to change peoples opinions without being a ass, in fact once you are a ass people tend to hold on to their opinions until the end.... if on the other hand you first understand where they are coming from and point out in a simple and friendly way why they may be wrong (or better put misguided) all of a sudden they are more happy to listen too you. right now you just look like a ass. Now onto the idea. While I agree more modes of transport would be fun skateboards and Rollerblades do not really belong in a post apoc game imo. You have to ask yourself what shape are the roads in? They are no longer being maintained they would fall apart quite quick and while a mountain bike would sure be able to use roads or a car with a bigger wheel base, something like a skateboard with a small wheel base would have trouble going anywhere due to broken cracked surfaces and pebbles.

I love the tent idea, (newbie who didn't play the mod) I sort of think that on one side it may let people play more reckless knowing they have a back up but on the other hand tents that you could not lock could be just as shattering as dying or even worst.... coming back with a fresh spawn to find out not only did you die but someone found your tent and raided it, the safer you want it to be the further out from hot spots you go. plus for someone like me (lone wolf)it gives me a chance to raid good gear without going to places like the airfields which tend to have people in groups. Now also following someone who looks like there heading no where might be fun because they could lead you back to there tent.

Yea.... you right click on dayz in steam and go properties then on the last tab click beta's then you can choose from there (mine started to download once I closed properties but you might also need to restart steam). I was able to download it last night but if what the others guys are saying is true, its been taken down due to the loot bug. If you get to download it (once its back out) and want to switch back do the same but opt out then steam will download about the same size patch again and put your game back to how it was, your character should still be there because they use different hives. Edit: Also the stable version was slated for Friday after its been tested not sure if that's still the goal because of the bug found but in any case its only around the corner so waiting is not that bad if confused or not sure.

you sir have a great pic, and it got taken down? because I downloaded it last night (Australian) and it worked there was just no servers running the latest patch where I am so went back to the current version.
