Yes, it is important to protect the sales of an ALPHA that went platinum... give me a break. This is the last reason that the moderators have in mind when making the rules. I'm not so sure that this single post has the merit or influence to keep even a single possible subscriber from purchasing the product at this point... Anyone who chooses to pay for the privilege of participating in the testing process should know better than to expect a finished product (with or without hacker protection).

After seeing the transition to night, I wanted to see what it was like going to day. I logged out at 1900-ish, the moon was up, and I could see very well. When I logged back in around 0630, it was dark as heck (the moon was down); we tested in the dark for a bit and checked out one of the new villages. It was after 0700 when we logged out, and it was still very dark. However, things were getting brighter, and I could tell that it wouldn't be too long before dawn.

Sounds interesting. You should have recorded it!

The sun sets around 1700 or so; at least it did the other day. It was a very nice transition from daylight to dusk to night.

I don't see myself as playing a game; I see myself as testing an alpha.

I have had some similar problems while testing the new version, but it is mostly that my character spawns on the beach forcing me to jump back to the main menu to search for a more "friendly" server (no, I am not switching between regular and hardcore servers). I think that things should settle down soon; in the mean time, I will continue to test to the best of my abilities.

I sleep at night.

The servers are becoming more diverse as they bring more on-line.

We killed a dude today; not exactly KoS, but we didn't wait around to see if he was a friendly. Turns out, he was carrying every firearm from the game (all four), several canteens, more than a half-dozen sets of handcuffs, and a bunch of morphine. I can only imagine the party that he had planned!
