    DayZ vehicles: complete list

For now, this is the list of soviet-made vehicles. Few other (Hilux, Land Rover, etc) would fit well too. BTW, this: http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/165028-dayz-vehicles-complete-list/ should be getting some attention either, as that type of art and murals fits Chernorus/overall environment.

    DayZ vehicles: complete list

list of the most numerous and wide spread soviet cars that would find their place in the grim lands of Chernarus: **Civilian private vehicles:** VAZ-2101 Жигули “Копейка” or “Coin/Penny” because of the characteristic round frontlights.http://imgur.com/a/IPXY5 VAZ -2106 "Шестерка", aka ''Sixth'': http://imgur.com/a/X12qm VAZ -2107 "Семерка", aka 'number 7' http://imgur.com/a/19byV VAZ -2108/2109 aka ''Зубило'' or ''Сhisel'', one of the newer ones http://imgur.com/a/6j2Ey A wet dream for local hoodlums from Prigorodki or Cherno outskirts. Gopniki in all post-soviet area simply adore this car. Pure ‘class’. Don't forget to put your sport pants, leather shoes and thick leather jacket on. Get a knife, bat or at least a screwdriver, hop in with your pal and circle around your city district to find someone who simply doesn’t belong. [You know what I mean](http://www.reddit.com/r/dayz/comments/1qml93/another_new_screenshot_courtesy_of_senchi/cdeci35?context=3) It's party time in Zelenogorsk! Now, behold a diamond in a crown of Soviet car production, the fabulous Ukrainian Zaporozhec', produced in Zaporizhzhya. There are 2 models, ZAZ -965 http://imgur.com/a/2wwB8 and ZAZ -966 http://imgur.com/a/uUhc9 The former is called 'Горбатий' or 'Brokeback/Humpbacked'. The latter is just 'Zapor' or 'Constipation'. Yes, we love these cars. What a beauty. Every Chernorussian grandpa should drive this as it was generously provided by the beloved government due to his disabilities after war in Takistan 20 years ago. The unstoppable senior veterans, they endure post-soviet hardships and still breach! No Cherno trafic light could stop them! http://imgur.com/a/hHhdu Moskvitch Москвич-408/412/Москвич-Комби. An alternative to ЗАЗ that grandpa uses to transport potatoes from his 'dacha' (decrepit private house with a garden, lets say in Olsha) to Elektrozavodsk marketplace. http://imgur.com/a/3OYEM Moskvitch 2141, newer, but actually mostly used for the same purposes: http://imgur.com/a/apHCn Bacause you can't escape the reputation, even after the hull upgrade and redesign... go on, load potatoes and beetroots into the trunk. All 3 of GAZ Volga models were hard to get and object of much envy. Most of them nowadays are just regular junk. Gaz-21 Volga: http://imgur.com/a/5O8hL Gaz-24 Volga: http://imgur.com/a/Xl0dU (the one we have in DayZ so far) Gaz-3102 Volga: http://imgur.com/a/mfznI the most modern of three, considered to be a luxury car back in mid and late 90's. Gaz M-20 (ГАЗ-М-20) ''Pobeda'' (''Victory'') a rival to Gaz-21 in terms of soviet luxury. Chernorussian grandpa still keeps this one in his garage: http://imgur.com/a/YnbZW VAZ-2121 "Niva" ("Нива", or "Cropfield") a beloved civilian off-roader. It still is very popular now, but was really hard to obtain 20 years ago: http://imgur.com/a/LbMMM A mandatory car for Chernarus. **Buses** in Chernorus should be represented by: Laz-695 http://imgur.com/a/KWh8M The most popular and wide spread soviet bus. Laz-4202 http://imgur.com/a/mrSk7 his successor. PAZ-672 http://imgur.com/a/NrLaG this thing (most of them were painted yellow) could be spotted everywhere. As well as this one, PAZ-3205 http://imgur.com/a/XRkZA both were typical means of commute within the city limits. KAvZ-685 http://imgur.com/a/f1vyO ZIS-155 a real old-school from 50's, still often spotted around http://imgur.com/a/r32pL Ikarus-280 http://imgur.com/a/QWeXW that's the bus that is in DayZ mod, this actually was higher-class type bus. LiAZ-677 http://imgur.com/a/W8ZpA Squeeze yourself with a hundred other poor souls into this crowded coffin. When the infection broke out those were true ‘party’ buses! **Сivillian trucks** typical Chernorussian models: ZIL-130 http://imgur.com/a/XVg3x there should be no Chernorussian city or town without this truck. GAZ-53 http://imgur.com/a/etzJH a lighter one, but used just as widely. *make sure you notice a milk cistern, bread truck, fish and sewage-sanitation vehicles based on this vehicle. This truck is as soviet as soviet can be. Bringing fresh and hot bread to the bread store early in the morning. Collecting milk in kolkhoz at dawn. They sold fish from their water tanks at the marketplace. And spraying water at dawn upon desolate summer city streets to remove the dust... Kamaz-5511/5320/5325 and others. Камаз doesn't even need a description. The heavy working horse of Soviet industry! http://imgur.com/a/8frG6 MAZ-504 http://imgur.com/a/0B5Gf his counterpart. BELAZ (various models) The quarry monsters: http://imgur.com/a/0P5CD. An old joke is that you shouldn't care or be afraid of anything on the road while driving Kamaz. Unless you ever encounter Belaz. **Medical/Paramedical Emergency vehicles:** I'd love to see these torn to shreds somewhere around Cherno hospital: RAF-977И http://imgur.com/a/r7Ib4 GAZ-22 http://imgur.com/a/FbcJi RAF-2914 (the most popular one) http://imgur.com/a/n2dOY pure classic. UAZ-3962 serves in rural areas: http://imgur.com/a/ulc5r Here are some other special purpose cars: **Firetrucks:** Zil-157 firetruck http://imgur.com/a/miEFX pretty ancient one, but still remains functioning and serves in rural areas. Zil-131 firetruck http://imgur.com/a/xFC4F basic vehicle in fire department. Those were supplemented by firetrucks based on other soviet workhorse, Zil-130: http://imgur.com/a/12paQ and heavier ones, Ural-4320: http://imgur.com/a/3p2TR True monsters were confined within airfields, but a rare find elsewhere: http://imgur.com/a/22MPZ **Military trucks:** Regarding military trucks. I don't want to stress here, but these mentioned below are absolutely essential. Many of them got into civilian hands and after some modifications serve as lumber transports, buses in highlands, etc. GAZ-66 http://imgur.com/a/g3TbB Excellent, superb off-road capabilities. If there was a military unit around this thing was there. Most of them were somewhat modified and are widely used today in mountainous areas by local population. GAZ-131 http://imgur.com/a/a9H9H used for lumber theft nowadays. Ural-4320. At least we've got this one in DayZ mod! The thing goes everywhere. Literally. http://imgur.com/a/9fe4D *check this out: ...sheer carnage KRaZ-255Б even bigger ukrainian monster http://imgur.com/a/X6bx8 KAMAZ 4326,4310,6350 etc: http://imgur.com/a/haonQ these, along with Urals are main military trucks nowadays, that still in operation, not just storage. MAZ-543 a rare beast: http://imgur.com/a/3HB9N MAZ-537, his predecessor http://imgur.com/a/Z1EWw. Mostly confined within airports and military bases. Now, to shift focus from military and semi-military trucks, these are few of the most popular vans. **Soviet vans:** UAZ-452 'Буханка' or 'Bread loaf' http://imgur.com/a/24hQ5 this one is literally everywhere. РАФ-2203 http://imgur.com/a/tKvBt hearing the word 'van' is ussr implied you picturing this in your head. ЕрАЗ-762 http://imgur.com/a/VABeV also very popular, but adjusted to carry goods. **Soviet-style small SUV’s, jeeps and off-roaders:** ЛуАЗ-969 ''Волинянка'', ''Girl from Volyn' " http://imgur.com/a/Q91IW this weird thing actually is a great off-roader, particularly popular in villages. УАЗ-469 much beloved SUV from DayZ mod. http://imgur.com/a/hfhK7 No need for introduction. *Special notice though - this was one of standard-issue cop cars. Gaz-69 is an older one, still can be found in rural areas: http://imgur.com/a/rt3eC And of course, Lada Niva, which was mentioned above. **Motorcycles:** Ява (Jawa) made in Czechoslovakia, best available soviet motorbike: http://imgur.com/a/GjkRv light one Ural Урал М-67-36 and other models were heavy, also used by road police: http://imgur.com/a/dR2hF And check out those sweet sidecars! There were others, like Иж Планета, Юпитер 4-5, Dnipro (Днепр) **Tractors and Crop harvesters:** Т-25 much beloved tractor from DayZ mod http://imgur.com/a/96URy And these are his bigger brethren, from smaller to largest: DT-75 http://imgur.com/a/L6eqw T-4A http://imgur.com/a/uKqi6 К-700 http://imgur.com/a/I2Kco T-130 http://imgur.com/a/49Ykb My personal favorites, tractor-bus-offroader hybrids. Simply the best in swampy areas: ATC-59 and ATC-59Г http://imgur.com/a/MGtec And these should be found rusting on Chernarus crop fields: SK-5 Niva http://imgur.com/a/6IFj4 SK-6 Kolos http://imgur.com/a/iSvsh This pretty much makes the autopark I'd love to see in DayZ SA!

DayZ art: posters, murals and statues

Since DayZ takes place in area under heavy soviet influence, this my take on some aspects of map design and proper textures for some areas. Art in post-soviet countries was heavily focused on industrial and agricultural feats, social happiness and stability of life. Lots of soviet buildings, esp. tenements used to have characteristic murals: http://imgur.com/a/EvP9V Also murals were prominent on rural bus stops, actually each such stop was unique: http://imgur.com/a/pqgzV Soviet statues in their brutal glory even in decrepit state: http://imgur.com/a/yUahB Paintings, heavily delving into realism: http://imgur.com/a/17iX3 Typical soviet posters, wall paintings, etc: http://imgur.com/a/y7Kny Some military styled posters: http://imgur.com/a/RBB12 And last, but not least, few modern poster remakes, perfectly styled and well-done: http://imgur.com/a/tJPJ8 Basically, I'm just looking forward building, structure and texture design (esp. indoors environment, pictures in residential areas, big-boards) developing by this pattern, at least partially.
