sucks bro :D -
nah bro its easy to balance like a simple vitamins status or whatever
-
watch 28 days later :P people getting sugar rushes and headaches because of bad nutrition its all about nutrition, they will add in a health system and a soda-only diet wont make your life that great
-
agreed on the rocks a reason to do this is the hazard from fire spreading but I dont see anyone programming huge forest fires into the game so improv fireplaces sound good enough. I think for cooking food there will be 2 key benefites 'cleaning' the food, so killing bacteria/parasites ... well we all know the reason why our caveman versions started cooking food I also imagine cooking rice with water makes you less dehydrated or gives a bigger amount of stored energy or something

I suppose yes Anyway, it would be a very interesting feature as I see it can fit in a lot of situations. And like OP says, its just cool too :P

exactly, but you would get the bullet to your face nevertheless :D

Pending Changelog: Experimental Branch: 0.42.116002

seriously tho, this thread in a nutshell : Other than that, I have plenty of faith in the dev team that they will gradually turn this into a fantastic game. I'm also very curious about the oncoming changes when they go stable, I haven't played the experimental yet but it seems a promising step forward. -
are you kidding? i dont want to hear some kids conversation with his mother about him not wanting to do the dishes as I see his character idling on a railroadtrack This is the stuff that would happen if the mic input is constantly on

I have 2 suggestions to eliminate great frustration for beginning or respawning players who would like to kick off their adventure with their friends. There has probably been an idea-pool around this but I'm suggesting it anyway for a possible fast implementation 1. Something possibly easy to implement could be to type in a code before spawning, which calculates a certain position for you to spawn. Then if a friend wishes to spawn together with you, he also types in the code and bam, you're immediately together and ready for an adventure! This calculation could of course be limited within the spawnable areas to avoid abuse (like looking for a spawncode at a military base) You could also put in the calculation a number that changes every 30 minutes or so, so when the same code is used after this time, the position will still be different. I think this solution is something nice to have in alpha/beta phase. 2. Spawning rooms. more clean/proper way of spawning for future implemenation. You make a spawning room where your friends can join in (as in creating a 'party'). Hit the spawn button when ready and bam, you spawn in group. What do you think?

So I came across this and I would REALLY like this in the game but how do we make it balanced?

cannibalism, mutilation, russian roulette,.. i mean come on guys seriously why are these even discussed, the game sets us in a world that is already pretty damn cruel. Cannibalism makes sense somewhere but It would break the game so much for me to be fair. It will be something that everyone does just because they want to fix their hunger instead of putting some effort in finding beans. Humanity please :) Lets go kill bambis and eat them - cannibalism-dayz in a nutshell. KoS is already an element that changes the way the game is being played. Will it help if you turn other players into a walking chickenwing? -

Why the dayz formula will ultimately fail

sorry OP, but I completely disagree with you waking up in the apocalypse and knowing there is a military camp nearby should attract you there to get your defenses up, its nothing more than the natural way. to be honest i dont really mind the suicides because for me it doesnt actually break immersion, there are plenty of people who would shoot themselves when day Z happens, because they cant handle it. Why not suicide off a building then? works as good as a headshot. -
or when you eat it you will headshot whoever you are teabagging
-
on a serious note : it possible and easy to just get a hotdog in the game and make m4 gear mountable to it
-
- craft chilidog with beans - please don't ever invite me to any diner parties
-
I just want to make clear that the suggestion I have made involves A FRESH SPAWN FOR THE ENTIRE GROUP. Im not crazy enough to suggest you can spawn to your heavy geared mate in Balota, thats madness. Im talking about being together when the zombie apocalypse happened and from there on you can find your way, starting the journey together.

I would absolutely love to see traintrackvehicles in this game but I would understand if they wouldnt go for the effort to implement it, Sounds like a lot of work and more of a rarity for people to use Still it would be pretty epic to suddenly hear the great iron beast roll over its tracks through the towns for whatever purpose ... or see two guys on this thing like in the cartoons

im having trouble understanding the mistery about the next update as well :) leaving me deranged and confused and confused and deranged -
I most definetly support the beard idea maybe for female characters hair from under their hairpits? Considering the style of DayZ, there is no way there will be a skilltree implemented, so maybe the community should let that subject rest. I am however a supporter of slight improvements under the hood of your character by training. As in better running through fitness, experience in hotwiring, piloting a chopper, etc.. I played the mod in deathmatch mode for a few hours now just to check it out. Quite quickly I was able to jump in a helicopter and even though i needed to get used to the controls, it all seemed just too easy to fly this thing eventually. Maybe on such occasions there could be parameters according to your characters experience that give you better balance, more accuracy, more speed in general actions. On the other hand, I also believe that the experience you build up is more depending on the PLAYER and not on the CHARACTER. The chopper example : with the first character i tried to fly it and i instantly crashed. After a few characters I sort of spawned with my personal experience as a pilot attached to it and I flew off like a bird in the sky. If you look at it that way there's barely any experience ladder needed at all, because of how the game is, the experience sits within you!
