yeah. contains 100% pristine rot. anyway, i think fruits should just have their very own "rotten" condition if they are rotten, and not be separate items completely. i mean, it's kinda funny that there are bananans and rotten bananas, and both have their own conditions. it's the same fruit in a different condition >:(

hey dear OP, i started wondering this myself too now that you posted it. i could actually measure it for you just out of curiosity. i'll play on some moderately populated server and come back with results after a couple of hours.

what? basicly you mean there should be another kind of canteen that has "soda" written on it? would the regular canteen explode if you try to fill it with soda? if you mix several different types of soda, will the result be poisonous or will it crash the game?

zeds should instakill you if they can grab you. you know, like they do in the movies. that should stir things up. you should be able to outrun them, though. once they spawn in buildings, that's when the game gets interesting. you can't loot like a careless little rabbit anymore. you would want to actually team up with other bambinos for having a better chance to survive. now it's pretty much the opposite.

yeah, well, it kinda defeats the purpose of having the map in the firstplace, if you need to turn the whole Chernarus inside out to even find all the pieces for it, now doesn't it? i mean, honestly, i think it would be the same thing to not have maps at all.

no it's not. it's too damn easy. if you ask me, it should be impossible to win zeds with fists. your only option should be escaping. the biggest problem with weapon loot is that you don't need to use them on anything else than other players. this creates the need to reduce them drastically. if you would need to use them on zeds, however, the loot would be fine as it is. i found gun and bullets, great -> random zed attacks, but save your ammo and kill it with axe. easy. result: backpack eventually filled with bullets. need to go on KoS spree because, heck, i have hard-earned gun and ammo and i want to use it on something. i don't need them for surviving, so KoS spree is the only thing left.

i'm lifting this thread, so i don't need to make a new one. posted this on another thread, but: zeds should kill you if they can grab you. or, atleast, there's a very good chance that you would die then. then i would happily start using my bullets on zeds instead of seeking thrills from PvP. would also eliminate the need of making huge zed swarms.

no need. they should just be harder. my suggestion: once they grab you, you are dead. i'd love it. your best bet would be to run when you are unarmed, and even when you are armed, you would be constantly more alert, because they would pose a serious threat. you'd start sweating when a zed runs towards you while you hold your axe; miss the strike, and you are in deep shit. it would also eliminate the need to make huge swarms of them. then it would also make sense to spend precious bullets to zeds too, and not just save them for KoS-parties. i also think people would collaborate more then. i mean just think about it; once you are geared player, you could really start playing as a hero by saving bambies that are desperately running to you shouting to save them from zeds that are chasing them. a lot of the much-discussed KoS "problems" are caused by the fact that there's simply nothing else to shoot than other players. zeds seem to exist just as a requisite to make the world seem post-apocalyptic, rather than to really challenge the player.

where's the fun in PvE only servers? sounds boring as hell. Zeds are easy to kill even with bare fists (at the moment atleast), so it would basicly just be a kumbaya-simulator. Food and water is so easy to find and stockpile, that at somepoint you just don't even pick it up anymore. Now that you are all geared up, what do you do next? Run in circle and wait for the hunger to strike so you can pop a can of beans? How exciting! Collaborating would increase, you say? Why? Only ones needing any advice/help are players that are spawning for the very first time. There would only be less reasons to collaborate, since the environment is less hostile. Unless, ofcourse, you enjoy the crap out of trading beans for sardines with someone. Again, how exciting! But wait..! Now you found yourself a gun. Oh no, little Timmy. Better just leave it there. We say no to violence on kumbaya-servers. i really, really want to know what is this "more than" you are talking about. gearing up for survival is pointless if surviving is taken for granted.

well, it's kinda also he's fault for trusting you blindly. i'd never trust a random bambi. i have often tried to be killed by a bambi, who try to get me lower my guard by acting friendly. but it's alright. i'd do it too. gear up fast, or die trying.

it's an exploit because it's basicly enhancing the scope

wich is a big part of the whole game. you are missing out if you are trying to be all hero. it's a game ffs. sure, collaboration is a cool thing to do too, but it's often very risky.

i don't mind dying. the fact is you will die sooner or later anyway, so you better start learning to not give fucks about it. i can run free as bambi next time i spawn.

PvE servers are actually against the rules. PvP is the spice of this game. Yeah, it's sometimes frustrating, but you learn from situations. Best way to experience co-op is to play with an actual friend. but yeah, the game is awesome :)

haha. i think it's kinda funny how this game makes you feel bad about killing sometimes. maybe because we all know how much effort can be put to finding stuff, and you start feeling sorry that you're throwing it all away when you pull that trigger. then again, we all know it's bound to happen at some point when ever we start playing. no one lives forever :) it's just the spirit of DayZ.
