...being handcuffed+logout=death. Has been so before the patch will stay that way hopefully. And since the actual logout happens AFTER the 30 seconds time (when the body is gone ingame) that's perfectly normal.. And this: worries me. ;)

I think its location based...somehow. Before the patch I had this happen to me only 2 times: In Svetlo, runnign around, suddenly: CTD. Log in again, walking 2 steps, CTD. Change server...no problem anymore. Yesterday I had this CTD 3 times on NEAF after playing for some time - and my buddy got it also, only seconds after me, it was like this: Running on NEAF, suddenly CTD. Log in again, 2 steps, CTD. Eat the logout timer, change server, 3 steps, CTD. Changed server again...and no problem anymore.

This will sound strange to you, but: I kill only people that attack me. Normally I try to talk to the people... But I'm not against banditry or KoS or however people want to play this game - if everybody would play it like me it would be boring. But it's just the way I play...and maybe it chanegs again (I played a lot differently in the Mod ;))

Hm...at least something new here: No compleaining about KoS but compleaining about help. But I sense...you are just angry because you lost everything and these guys still have their gear. Don't be angry. They will lose theirs as well. And they don't want to be mean to you, dry your tears. They did not want to show off I guess, they just wanted to help a guy that spawned and did not knew that you are a poor pro that got a shot instead of a "real" freshspawn. I know, thats mean, who are these people offereing you help and beans? They should burn in hell for being such show offs. Such full geared and not dead assholes. Ah ok, now I got it....youa re angry because you met people, who tried to be nice and you couldn't kill them. Now everything becomes clear...

@Rudette: That are awesome examples of not only roleplay but polarity and a good read as well *throws beans at you* :) Oh my, oh my, I should quit raging at people in General discussion and continue here to tell what happened recently... Psycho hasn't played for quite some while - maybe getting shot was not such an experience to him as the duell at night in the factory was to me ;) KoSBuddy is still globalbanned by BattleEye (and still angry about that, which I understand), so it's usually just Silent and me at the moment. And while me being with Silent is a profit for everyone we meet - because you get to live longer ;) - it's sometimes not so safe and healthy for me....why? Because DayZ is DayZ. And being nice is sometimes the wrong thing... But I was still seperated by miles and miles from Silent, and on the way to meet up with him I looted some houses and abrns and - ran into a guy. Literally. I sneaked into a barn, he sneaked out at the same moment, both holding an axe in our hands...and both jumped back at the same moment, a secon d of silence, then at the same time "Friendly!", followed by laughter on both sides because of the unexpected mirroing. The guy was a nice gentleman from britain (despite his dallas mask) that was searching for ammunition for his shotgun. After we looted some houses together and talked a little, I thought, what the hell, he has a shotgun but no shells, I have shells but no shotgun. Better he can load it and can shoot back when we get attacked, than we both die because we're just wielding axes. So I droppped him some shells - and he didn't shoot me, he thanked me and we continued our walk and find anice house to loot. I went upstairs...and found a corpse. "Watch out buddy, here's a corpse. Maybe the killer is still around!" I yell downstairs and hear a "ok." I start to scavenge the rooms...and suddenly shots from downstairs, first the Shotgun then a Magnum, and...silence. Was my new buddy dead? Shot by some maniac? And would I be next? Holding the axe firmly I waited next to the stairs...if someone not wearing a dallas mask would come up, i'd kill him...seconds passed, nothing to hear. I move downwards, slowly, peak around the corner...and look right into a Magnum, not more than ane step away from my face. Before I can take any actions - or he can shoot - I hear my british budy scream "NO! He is friendly!" turns out the guy in the wolf mask was also a nice guy, coming from Ireland. As I warn him about the body he answers "Yeah, that was me. He tried to attack me. Idiot." Soon after that, my british buddy had to log out, so I went with the Irishman further along...but after some minutes we split up a little, to scavenge faster, everyone taking one side of the road. I'm into a small hut, where I know theres not much to loot normally, but why not risk a peek. I glance out of the window, to the "funneh fellah" as he pronounced it, as he carelessly runs out of the house, into another, suddenly he falls to the ground...I did not even hear a shot. That means normally: A sniper with a Mosin. My irish buddy...gone. I still wait there in the house, maybe the Sniper wants to loot the body? But nobody comes, even after some minutes the streets are empty and I decide to head out the backside of the house and search cover. One glance back at the street while I'm already sprinting away from the houses, into the woods, at the corpse of....I don't know his name, but you were "a hella of a fellah"... I make it to the trees, not shots are fired, I go down, look around...nothing to see, nothing to hear. That's good...

Yesterday I found paper on the ground, remembering that pen&paper work (again?), I decided to have a look at it...what did it say? "lOOK DOWN! bam your dead" While I was happy that I found a note from another survivor, the "your" annoyed me so much, I wanted to handcuff the guy who wrote it and feed him rotten kiwis... And I already write on pieces of paper and scatter them, but I prefer strange notes like "GARY! They are coming...they are COMING! RUN!" or "We meet at the well when the sun goes down.", but keeping a journal (or even write a steamname on it...hm wait...I should write a random steam name of somebody else on the server o0n it and carry it with me just to confuse people....

At the moment: Loot spawns still only at server start. And afaik it will never be handled the way it was in the mod (bubble spawning) - which is good, because loot-cycling was so stupid ;)

Hm, can't say I always look into the log cabins or any other "promising" buildings like that, but the usual "normal" houses that have loot, still got some...

Afaik, there will never be a code-restricted (thats what you suggested) PvE-only server in the main hive. Maybe if there are private hives in the future, it ca be done there (and if so, it will be done by a few server-renters) but I guarantee, that they will be an absolute minority...

Since this is only a "I dream of..." thread, I add more: I want Zombies ripping or biting out flesh, guts and brains of chars they killed. (btw. Why is everybody suspecting that zombies eat brains? I don't get that. How do they open the skull? And I never saw that in a movie happen. So no brains. Maybe eyes? Birds often go for the eyes of dead animals as well... ;)) Visible. With blood. When somebody gets shot, i want blood coming out and splattering the goddamn wall behind him (or even better: the person behind him ;)) ...so many possibilities, so long to wait and see what gets implemented and so few blood...

And for this price, a brand new, worn can of beans, do you know why these items are not rare in the latest build?
