  1. As rocket mentioned more than once : Loot respawn is handled the same way as zombie respawn, when one of it works, the other one will be implemented soon after (let's hope so...). ANd since zombie respawn seems to work on internal servers...well, let's see :) But I understand you, cause I can't WAIT for it to happen ;) These persistant containers will be serverbound. On the one hand, good, you need to establish a "home" server...or more than one ;) on the other hand...I don't know...find a server that usually has a totally "low" population and store everything there, so it won't get raided....and all these "private" servers with theitr join=kick policy (they still exist. -.-) will be loot hoarding monsters for the serverowners and their friends... I think (or hope^^) it will be those nice protector cases you can bury somwhere ;) ...and where did these "persistant backpack" thing start? Is that official? Because I haven' read anything about a persistant backpack...
  2. Skyrim horses? Meh. I still want Apes, INFECTED apes. That lurk through the woods. You are never safe...nowhere.... But horses are a long time away it seems, but if i should take a guess, i'd think they will have the same "moving pattern" as humans, so no riding up vertically. Ah, the memories...

    I think that has something to do with the ability to reach the pockets (but don't quote me on that) - even if its very logical that you can pull out a pistol of the lowest level of your backpack in the same time as you can pull it out of your pockets... But afaik is clothing subject to change (not the models, but the whole "What wear where" and "how get somethign in what time of which pocket" )...but it has no priority...

The twitch Q&A was, afaik, a spontenous thing and there is always some simple minded fella who writes it down for the rest of the news-hungry community ; ) His Twitter IS an official channel (like the twitters from the other Devs ;) And reddit...well reddit is a strange place ;) But it has this upvote.thing, which makes it easy for the Devs to look there and find out the things that a lot of people are asking/worrying about - just check wich thread has some hundred upvotes... And for both of these things, there is the Devtracker here in the forum, who links autopmatically every twitter/reddit msg from the Devs... Well since we do not know now how the respawn system will work (Zombies & loot) it's hard to make an assumption...but from what I've heard it will work something like this: Every time something is looted a random timer is set (minimum time? I don't know. 30 minutes or something like that I guess. Up to two hours or more?) and this timer doesn't start until a player is in a specific radius (like the spawnbubble from the mod). If we assum that the same thing happens tom the Zombie-Respawner you still can clear out a city... - Cna't find the source for that, so don't take it for official...

    1) This is an Alpha. That is not an excuse for the state of the game, but it should be for your role: You are not "playing" an Alpha, you are testing it. Report Bugs, glitches, make suggestions: Help make the game better for the Beta/Final. You found one it seems: Report it please. Bugs, glitches and especially instant deaths (and i guess 70% of all players have died because of a ladderglitch...) are annoying, but keep that mentioned above in mind. 2) First rule of DayZ: Do NOT get attached to your gear. There is no victory screen, no way you can beat the game. Your character WILL die sooner or later. That's the game. 3) Avoid stairs. Ladders...everything above ground floor. Oh, and the "glitchy ship of death" ;) 4) If you really just want to gear up: Join a server. Run north, avoid Berezino and the ship. Head fvor Krasnostav & NEAF, after that go west to NEAF and the military bases around there. -> geared up in an hour if you did not made it to find a looted out server. 5) If you get to annoyed: Tae a break and come back after the next patch or the patch after that and look what has changed.
  10. It was a Q&A...that means: People asked him things, he answered them. this is NOT a roadmap of developing, this is not "what will be in the next updates" - just answers to questions. Maybe all of the things you mentioned are worked on. Maybe none of them. If you don't ask, you'll not know. Make a good DayZ stream, get 2000 followers and invite dean, maybe you get your own Q&A then.... Zombie-wall-glitch is afaik a part of the Zombie AI thing - that means it will not be fixed totally until the new AI is implemented and the placeholder that is in now is gone. On the issue of "breaking legs" they are working it seems, when you regard the falling damage etc. things..can be wrong here though. And all other glitches...well I guess they will be fixed as soon as they are aware of it and have resources for that... For all other things refer to my 2 previous posts and my signature ;)

    How much authenticity is too much?

    So i stumbled upon this topic on reddit, on which rocket commented and I just wanted to know what you think about that my fellow guinea pigs in this experiment called DayZ... Which lead later on to this, which was, for me, the more interesting part: ...so, what are your thoughts? :)

    Too many military spawns?

    First, I didn't make an excuse - I just told you from my point of view and my actual knowledge why the loot-tables are, the way the are at the moment. Second, I think it's not nonsense, because this applys to all new items (spraycans, weapon cleaning kits etc. etc.). But Food? When was the last time a food item added? And apart from that, if you don't find food you either are on the coast or don't search good enough or have the wrong search pattern - you know, buildings that don't spawn guns also spawn food...because I have so much food, that I don't even care to pick it up most of the time...and no, I don't hop. And no, I don't play 24/7. And no, I don't play only on low pop servers. And guns ARE a part of DayZ (it's in its heritage ;)), and at the moment the items, and from it snature the items that can cause the most problems in a program (apart from players & Zombies)

    Well, since it's an alpha, our main purpose as tester (and in an alpha you are a tester and not a "player"), it is our purpose to test everything - and that's why (especially new) weapons spawn very often and are easy to find...guns, damage, handling, medic system etc. - easier if everybody can find a gun with ease. But at least when it hits Beta things will change :)

    As rocket stated (and whichw as discussed here ~10 times) : As soon as improvised weapons are available (throwing weapons, bows, etc.) military weapons will be super-rare. But yes, you're right, there are a lot of military buildings/places around....too many, but well, on the other hand, there was a zombie apocalypse going on, so it makes sense if you look it at that way...

    Ever going to fix Teleporting?

    Talk, discuss, suggest or file a bug report: Some people will always make stuipid comments, but the majority will be fine with you. Whine, only complain, restart topics that are already discussed in 50 other threads: You get flamed, trolled and insulted. There are various bugreports about this topic, so I guess it's known by the Devs....but you can just vote up the important things in ther bug report, because thatw ay they are easy to see for the Devs and will be fixed sooner. (Not regarding this topic, if they are aware, I'm pretty sure they are working on it). So...the answer to your question is: Yes as far as I know and hope, teleporting will be fixed - I hope sooner than later. I also looked up some vids on youtube yesterday and, well...there's a lot of crap already existing, some already discovered (and on battleye ban list) but some seem still to work as far as i can see it from the dates/versions on the videos...

    Wait damn...you were in this forum for more than 1 day and still HAD faith? Respect... I would try this one: - Handcuff Miquinei - Use hacksaw to cut off feet - Cook feet - Force feed cooked feet to Miguinei - Wiggle Srsly: Cannibalism was declined? Never heard that. Please point me there...maybe I'm blind this time ;)

    More Effective, Less Frustrating, Hopper/Logger Solution

    Even if I have to suffer under the login timer sometimes because of CTDs (I mean 3 times in a row...) I don't care if the would make the login timer 15 minutes. Good enough for you to scare you away from hopping? Or how about this: (LogOUT timer stays the same in this example) At the moment it is like this: "If you log out of a server where you were less than 30 minutes you get a login timer before you can join another one. The length of this timer is depending on how long you have been on the server, up to 5 minutes." Changed to: "...and every time you recieve a login timer it is added up to...well no maximum. So if you join a server: no login timer. Leave it before 30 minutes and join another one: 5 minutes login timer. Leave this one as well before 30 minutes have passed: 5min+5min login timer, If you repeat again 5+5+5 minutes etc. Only way to reset this is playing more than 60 minutes on one server...

    What is your favorite thing to do in DayZ?

    ...things I do, if I have to wait for a friend who runs across the map and I don't care to meet him halfways: Close all doors again in totally looted cityOpen all doors but don't loot anything.Loot half of the buildings completly empty and close all doors again. Put all the acquired loot in the other buildings but leave their doors open.Alternative: Put the loot only in buildings that normally don't spawn any loot, like the small cabinsAnd my favourite: Collecting ALL the loot in Novy Sobor (normally 30 tshirts and 20 shoes and some food) and put it all in the church. Just to make it interesting.
