..if you find his stash.... ..and if he kept his M4 in his stash, he would have somethign else with him I guess... which leads me to: To small to store guns (like a buried protector case): Au contraire, I'd think it's very good. You have to think what you want to store. a pistol an a mag or food and a can opener? Or, in the future, crafting materials for let's say, a bow? Or better have matchboxes and a raincoat to avoid death by sickness due rain? ;) Or alternative: Your stash stays after your death on the server, lootable for everyone....but you. You don't see it. (Not perfect because of group play etc., but the middle way between everything gone and nothing happens after your death...)

Yeah same happened to me. I took out a group of 17 full outgeared-endgame-lvl90-bandits with my bare fists in my underwear, teabagged the corpses while singing "Always look on the bright side" in direct chat and after the song was over, my victims applauded, not only for being the uberpro that I am, them but also for my amazing voice, but before I could give them my IBAN so that they could send me money as a sign of admiration the server restarted. True story. ....why does every of this threads that have a title that sounds like a invitation to a honest discussion seems to me like a bragfestival? Why don't you be honest and name it "I'm so pro, look at my story how many people I killed, but I cleverly disguised it as a discussion that asks for your stories, while you should just admire me for telling how pro I am, before I woke up and realised it was a dream." Really, reading this forum makes me feel like everyone is absolute pro and kills at least 10 others before he goes down. If he goes down. I don't care if it happened or not. But since this is the internet: Pics or it didn't happen. I don't care if I'm the worst shooter in DayZ (but since I killed some guys in self defense already i think I might actually be able to hit something with a bit of luck), but these threads that are only started by somebody bragging annoy me. If you really wanted to just tell how bugs "screwed" you: "My friend tried to shoot some guys that did not see him, but his shot didn't hit, because of tree" & "I wanted to shoot some guys that did not see me, but the server restarted."... /rant Edit: Nothing against you OP, but this was the 4th or 5th thread that started like this. And the anger about useless bragthreads just added up.

Pf. Rocket only wants to play project Zomboid and Banished, so he pushes just the latest experimental to stable without changelogs, so we have to figure it out ourselves and are kept busy with something...like you give your toddlers some blocks and tell them they can build a tower with, even when some of them are leaning...^^

With that being said: Yes, as rocket stated rain will make you sick (in internal servers it already does affect your health as he twittered). Actually it's not a "real" KoS thread, because, at least, the others "How to stop KoS" etc. threads try to make a discussion (or stuff their opinion down every other players throat), while this one...well is a long way to say "I dont want to play with you anymore, until you stop being mean to me". Sure, everybody has the absolute right to play however he/she wants, like everybody has the right to play or not. But why the heck make a thread about it? I haven't played for 3 days now, but have you seen a thread made by me saying "I stopped playing for three days already..." ? (Well, in my case, I just have no time to play because of too much work -.-) Or did I miss something? Did you want a discussion about that all the people that complain about KoS should stop playing and wait for the Beta? /signed. Everyone should play/not play what and when he/she wants, suggestions, bug/glitch/hack reports are always welcome (even in the forum), even complaints (as long it's not about a topic that was discussed 500 times before) as long as they can be discussed.... And wait for cars...Ah I can't wait to find a car again like in the mod: Wonderful Jeep, but some parts missing or broken, so you require all the things you need for it and after hours, when you carry back that last tire that you couldn't find anywhere, you finally put it on...and get shot from behind, because somebody just waited to do all the work and steal the car.

OP: If you want to create a "shitstorm" make a (pro or contra, doesn't matter) KoS thread like all the attention seekers before you. Or write something like "We need a safezone where shooting is prohibited and everyone that shoots get slapped" or at least mock the logout timer because the WoW timer was better...and ffs don't announce that you want to make a shitstorm if you want to make one. People will never do what you want, if you tell them what you want. Try it next time like this: "I think all people older than 25 shouldn't play DayZ because this whole stalking and surviving is useless crap and they block serverslots for me and me hackerfriends that want to shoot all the time." Welcome to the internet.

My suggestion is to use the suggestion forum and not the general discussion with a threadtitle that says nothing about the topic. I known where you are coming from, and I also have lost hours of searching and meeting up...but this would just be another exploit for server hoppers, who don't mind the waiting timer. (sure they can do that now as well if e.g. 3 people on three different positions always loot hop the same server) , but they can't a) both visit both places to hoard everything and b)can't trade items so easy ...and now make that with 5 or 6 players in skype or TS...boy, will the servers be empty ;) BUT: Join together when both are spawn fresh (e.g. Char alive < 10 minutes): No problen with that. "Join together" activated" leads to a spawn point somewhere in the middel of the map for both (player one that is joined by player 2 gets automatically reconnected) - not the best thing, but might be ok...

o.o I think "losing equipment" and death are somewhow punishements and for that case restraining...

That would be great. I miss the mod-times, where a lucky Z-hit could break your leg and you had to be so cautious....^^

Nobody that reads this, can do anything against it. Anybody that coould do something, will not read it. Why? Because this is the general discussion, which is so full of BS, 5 "No-koS" threads per day and trolls. Any dev reading here would stop programming and cry for some hours under the shower. With that being said: Probably no hacker, could be a glitch or a exploit. And while I understand your anger, the only way to let the Devs know about this issue is: FIle a Bug report (here: http://feedback.dayzgame.com/my_view_page.php ) but before you do, search the bug reports, if a similar issue has been reported, vote it up and add details if necessary....

I haven't KoS'd a single guy by now (I think i have 80hours + in the SA) and I don't feel punished. And I don't fell to be forced to KoS...and yes, I have died some times due to KoS. And no, my characters tend to live longer than a few minutes. And also no, I don't have any disadvantage - my latest char is well equipped, alive for some ingame hours and had 3 interactions lately - one with someone who tried to rob me, but failed miserably and ran off and 2 friendly ones... From the "gaming" point of view: You are forced to do 2 things in this game at the moment to keep your character alive: Eat & drink. Nothing more. From the "reality" point of view, it's simple: If you can kill somebody without any reason you ARE mentally ill anyway. So no use for a system like this. Edit: Additionally, what windowlicker said. He's niot so lazy as I am it seems.^^

From a players perspective: Absolutely right. From a programmers perspective: I got this thing ready. Try it out. The other thing is in, when it's ready. But since - as rocket stated earlier - Loot respawn and Zombie respawn are handled the same way (however its gonna be) it may be, that soon after respwaning Zeds we have respawning loot as well... But I'll bet, that respawning Zombies are not in now...but weather? might be...

@Hethwill: *takes a bow* :) As far as I hope: No he won't. He did not change the vanilla mod in that direction, so why should he change the standalone? He made enough money to not get any trouble while he follows his vision, that, it seems, a lot of people share. And as he stated, his vision for DayZ is a game with no restrictions. Killing on sight is not ruining the game. It is part of it. You CAN try to kill everyone you see. You CAN try to help everyone. You can switch between these two. You can flip a coin everytime you see somebody. Doesn't matter - it is YOUR choice, and YOURS alone. And THATS what DayZ is about. Edit: Sry for the caps session. Was annoyed. ...and stopped cheating...yeah...like Billzard. Oh, wait, no...like EA...oh, lol.....like...every.other.company.ever. The only way you can stop cheating is if you play singleplayer and dont use cheats yourself.

Hm, can't recall this specific topic, but there were some suggestions about plants and herbal medicine...somewhere buried beneath 10.000 "we need this gun" or "Fix the zombie wall glitch" threads.... And yes, i'd find it great (even if I'm pretty sure that these are be sunflowers...), but hey, why not both, one for medicine, the other one for food? :) And since the medic/health system is reworked at the moment, maybe there will be a spot for "herbal medicine".... Hm poppies in DayZ...i sense a drug discussion coming in this thread...i feel it...

You walk around it and...2 tires missing *gnah* And you go and search and search and come back and the car is gone *grrrr* But yeah, bvehicles will come, as will come a "crafting" (read: repair) system for them, so just wait until these goddamn things spawn again. But if I can at that time, put again 3 of them in my backpack and run as fast as a freshspawn in underwear, I'll get mad...
