    Cant Loot Dead Bodies

What seems to work for me is, accessing their stuff while going over their weapon.

Tents dissappearing or looted within half a day

Me and my buddies have experience from the mod with hiding tents, where finding tents was much easier due to heli's and hardly were they raided there. We did not hide the tents in obvious remote places. We put them only on servers where it says persistance : on/enabled.
  3. Me and my friends have placed 5 tents since the update in very remote and hidden places and they have been raided or dissappeared in a half a day time. Are other people experiencing that there tents are being raided extremely fast?
  4. still having the same issue, anybody know a solution or at least the cause of the issue? DayZ 2014-03-27 18-43-07-43.bmp
  5. wont that just be a temporary fix though? Ill try it tomorrow. I also followed some of tips of this URL, could that have caused the issue? http://dayzintel.com/dayz-standalone/dayz-standalone-performance-guide
  6. I highly doubt that is the issue, since it runs fine with 30fps outside cities and only happens when there are more then a few objects there also there are normal temps. My system also is more than sufficient to meet the minimum requirements.
  7. Nobody has any suggestions?
  8. I have a screen of what exactly happens, again it only happens in cities and less frequently in smaller towns, if I keep running it gets worse. DayZ 2014-03-27 18-43-07-43.bmp
  9. Mostly everything on low to normal, with everything in rendering disabled (except HDR Quality) edit: I am checking my nvidia control panel and saw that multidisplay/mixed gpu acceleration was set to multiple display performance mode while I only use 1 screen.
  10. I dont think that is a smart idea, still have plenty of space and tried dayz on both partitions
  11. While I am in Cities, I frequently have that all the building and other objects start breaking up in 2d and spreading out in all directions, I can fix it by changing my graphical settings(so I dont have to restart the game) but it keeps coming back. My specs Windows 8.1 Intel Core i5-4200m 2.5GHZ 6 GB RAM Geforce GT 750M So far I have tried different drivers for my graphics card and reinstalling dayz. I have played dayz both in W8 and W8.1 it made no difference. any suggestions on how to fix this issue?

Lol, before you even see how they will fix it you are shouting this looks not good. Anyways you keep going in this vicious circle not contributing to the subject of the thread which is possible fix/changes/etc that could be made to 3p to improve the experience. It is my own fault for bringing up the reasons why and what of 3p should be fixed, from which I will refrain now as I am interested much more how 3p can be improved.

seperate hives may look like the final fix, as in 3pv will never go away so you will always have seperate hives. For me separate hives work fine as people have different tastes. Although it is a 4 month old thread, there are several mentions in this thread stating that Dean dislikes certain exploits and would want to remove them from the game but not 3p itself. again I think what you said is one of the fixes they could do : They just need to tweak where the camera is: closer and lower, so you can't get it over walls and such. Removing the feature all together is a little extreme and doesn't set a good precedent. That along with a forced 1pv or very zoomed in view when prone.

http://www.reddit.com/r/dayz/comments/1kzy02/sa_gamescom_gameplay_with_rocket_gamestar_10min/cbuomj7?context=3 A quote from the link above Rocket: " I can see (and employ myself) many legitimate uses of 3rd person. The servers are also far more popular than 1st person ones. What I'm doing is acknowledging the problem, acknowledging that server-demand will drive in favor of third-person allowed servers, and proposing a compromise that perhaps eliminates the worst of the offending, at the very least taking the edges off it. why compromise and allow the exploit? In short, because removal of a feature should not be taken lightly, and I'm just not convinced we should remove 3rd person at the game level." So calm yourself down, 3p will not be removed but he wishes to fix/remove the exploits. Some of the exploits he is talking about: Looking over walls, through windows with no risk, etc.Using 3p while prone

I think 3p is great for 75% of what you do in the game which is playing hiking simulator SA 2014, where it is just more comfortable to play in 3p rather than 1p. I do agree however that combat in 3p is toxic. There are 3 issues: Wall peeking, window peeking, etc in short near no risk looking. Prone 3p view (especially if people camp), I think this is annoying because it makes camping too easy. Too much *easy* vision around you, 3p camera is too flexible. I think these 3 issues just make up what should be fixed about 3p, the rest in general is fine. 1p suffers from problems differ per individual (motion sickness/headaches the most whether or not it can really be fixed with settings). phlogiston has some good suggestions especially the 4th wall, looks to fix the first Issue I mentioned. Also he doesn’t behave like a 1p elitist, who treats 1p as the only religion there is. Either way both 1p and 3p are far from being perfect and should be improved, but I am not pro removal of 3p. I like both to exist and there to be choice and eventually a glorious dayz SA version with near perfect 1p.
