    Pistol Flashlight

I noticed sometimes the pistol flashlight doesnt work. Sometimes I'll attach a battery and turn it on, but nothing happens and it gives me the option to turn it off. It doesn't happen all the time, just sometimes. Right now, or example, rummaging through the night looking for a pistol flashlight, just found one, popped the battery in, popped the light on the pistol, clicked turn on in inventory and.....nothing happens, but it gives me the option to turn it off. Anyone have any tips? tricks?

    New Experimental?

I have also heard rocks are considered two handed objects which can't be thrown right now. Give it some time man, they'll get all of that working. I would mostly like to use throwing things as a way to distract people, or trick them into turning there attention where I am not, but I wont be able to do that for a while

    New Experimental?

My understanding is that only throwable objects collide with static objects(like walls) at the moment. They just go right through players.

What's the current hacking status like in DayZ:SA?

There are definitely cheaters and most of them show up when new updates come out. I actually addressed this with the last patch and was contacted within a couple hours by a BE guy asking for more info on the cheat I witnessed. BE is definitely cracking down on cheaters dude, but there will always be hackers in games, its just how it is. It is probably easier to hack into the game right now than it will be once the game is finished and better written code is in the game, until then, let the little sore losers have their cheats, they'll get bored at some point and they'll keep having to buy copies and create new accounts and shit.

Which one of you weirdos was this..

well, when the physics engine is working better maybe you can throw the green pen in his jugular next time

    New Experimental?

I'm actually surprised they got this update in already, I was expecting adding in the physics engine would be the most difficult and tedious thing for them, but it is working, which is awesome. I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure since they have objects being thrown working, it will take less time for them to tweak it in a way that works well. Maybe not, who knows, maybe tweaking it will still take a while, but this update isn't like all the rest, where they add in a few items, try to fix a few bugs etc. I think this update opened up new doors for them, now they can focus on making the rag-doll feature work, as well as other things. If their only problem is that items being thrown are affected by fps alone, then maybe it won't be that hard to fix. In the meantime they get to mess with features that previously required physics

    New Experimental?

That's definitely not in. That will be a whole new patch that will need to include a few things. They'd have to add in the animals and make sure they work, they need to make sure cooking works, otherwise whats the point of hunting, and to do that they need to make sure fireplaces are working, which would also come with catching other things on fire I believe. I'm sure after they tweak the current mouse controls and messaging system, and get the physics engine to be able to have things launch smoothly in the air, they'll add in that new content. Hopefully it's soon, the second half of the month will come by pretty fast, especially with people on holiday for easter and spring break, they're gonna have to work hard if they want to make their date.

    New Experimental?

    did u try freelooking?

    New Experimental?

ya, I think that was intentional, Dean said something about how cool it is to be able to have real events, like a lunar eclipse, in a game also

    New Experimental?

From what I can tell they don't. I'm sure they plan on adding that in. It would be nice to be able to make distractions from throwing objects, like an empty can accross the street or rock through a window, to make a little opening for yourself to escape without detection, or maybe to distract someone before taking them down
