What? Yeah I suggested something for the endgame. Read my post, I put a lot of time into it. I don't mean retire your character, I mean when you're fully geared, WHY are you going to log in and play? I killed a server hopper two days ago, took his full kit, and have been so bored with SA since I'm waiting for someone to KOS me so I can have fun again. If you can log in, have a choice of basically facing hella zombies to stock up gear, engaging in massive clan wars, furthering your own personal goals, or working on a server wide project, I would have so much more fun once "survival" is not a challenge anymore.

PvP will be a part of this game, but if it's ultimately made a part of the game in grander sense, it will be purposeful and fun. If people just PvP cause there's nothing else to do, the game is virtually complete now... that's pretty much all that's left to do after you're geared.

I think he's asking for a list of confirmed good server admins, who you know, play fairly and don't abuse their abilities to farm loot or save their lives while disrupting other's gameplay -

Maybe on private hives, way in the future. The issue here is that if you spawn with any sort of weapon, some players may take that as an invitation to open PvP. The worst thing I can image in this game is being a fully geared player, and get killed by a newspawn with his starting weapon, but then he just runs off not caring one bit about his gear. He's not playing DayZ, he's playing CoD, and that's a problem for the whole community.

I can see this being a particularly bad idea... I, personally, would have you earmarked as trying trying to rob me as soon as you tell me to press F2 and would not hesitate to fire. If I'm trying to initiate conversation with another player, I'll talk before they can see me if I spot first.

Someone else suggested spawning with a different ratio to this. Altogether, I love this idea. I think if Dean picked this up he would make a great psychological constituent to the game that most would enjoy. -

It's funny I just had reason to post this same info somewhere else. On some info rocket posted on this forum he seems to indicate they have a really good sound guy in there, and from what he said I gathered they'll be adding sound cues for this and that. However, it's not indicated that this is on the top of their list, as it's on the agenda for spring 2014 apparently. It did seem like they were looking at increasing zombie numbers for the alpha though, and I think we've already seen them do it once. I was very surprised to have shot a sawed off in a small town to kill a zombie (i had no reason other than certainty I was going to die soon) and have a total of 7 zombies show up. At the same time, I think looking at a zombie for an extended period of time can trigger it to you. If/when I can reproduce it, I will be reporting it on the bug... reporting... thing. yeah. Anyways, zombie was a blip on my 42" monitor when zoomed in. I kept looking at it, and eventually it turned to me. A few moments later, it ran, slow as fuck, all the way to me. I'm done rambling after this last bit. Anyways, they posted some impressive numbers, something like 4000 at once in a debug build with no loot or something like that. Me, I'm hoping to see areas where zombies respawn heavily to get good loot. Imagine if getting a newspawn an almost guranteed m4 meant taking on many, many zombies in the process later on down the road. I would find it very fun. -
From all what I read it sounded to me like they've got a real good audio guy in there, as they might intend it for cues. I think what rocket said went something to the effect of audio being relied on, but I don't wanna quote it without looking it up. I'm tired. Anyways, it sounds like getting that to us is a little further out, they don't have it for spring 2014 I don't think. I'm really excited about this though, I have high quality studio monitors I listen to all this on, so I'll basically be hearing exactly what the sound guy heard in the studio, which is awesome. From my understanding of known bugs and glitches: Can opening and munching sounds are carried to players well outside the intended normal range. My best guess is you can hear a can open clear across elektro, however it is not random. Reloading sound is triggered on login sometimes, even if you have no gun. Bunnies make the errant zombie noises and the fence rattling I believe too.

When asked about end game progression on reddit, Rocket said they had end game progression in mind, and a working train, along with building fortifications were part of the asker's question. I would personally be interested in seeing massive group projects that happen in a long term sense relative to a single server. Like, persistent. Perhaps you would have to build the train, with parts from all over chernarus Additionally, I think occupying homes would be a GREAT mechanic for this game. You get to occupy a single house, on a single server, by boarding it up and installing locks on the doors. Then, you are privy to all loot that spawns inside that house on that server, as no one can enter it. There would of course need to be a system for taking breaking and entering, advanced security, and taking homes from players. -
