    I mean, I agree, who wouldn't. But I feel that a lot of the things in the game like this are just the very start of new systems to DayZ. Speedloaders don't act like speedloaders, defib would kill a sleeping person, zombies don't walk through walls or fall through the ground. If these aren't going to be made to work as they do more realistically at request, I'd be sitting there at release wondering what the devs spent their time doing...

    I think you might be unclear. If you click exit in game, your client will take you to the main menu immidiately. Your character will then plop himself down on the ground no matter the situation. If you alt+f4, your character will sit on the ground for 30 seconds on the con side: if you're in a fight and your internet disconnects, computer clicks off or bsod, your character will plop himself down on the ground for 30 seconds, meaning certain death. I'm sure once this is released on stable servers we'll see a lot of people who combat log and don't know about this just all the sudden sitting on the ground.

    I realize this is WAY off topic, but Infinity Ward has stated that they intend to produce exactly the same core game, with only minor changes, noting that their main consumer base aren't standard "gamers" who experience a lot of games and are able to reference them with one another, but could better be classified as "CoD gamers." Treyarch has made no such claim or observation.

    I agree with and understand that, I'm saying that once the game is complete and optimized, will they be bound to the original specs they gave? I hope not. And to the guy saying this is a moot point right now - i disagree. we paid to play early access not to play early (hopefully) but to experience the game and offer the devs our cash-paid input. So, as a community, we need to clarify what we want, that's why we spent the money. If Dean was ultimately intended to have high-population zombies, I feel looking at the poll on this thread would confirm that. If, the other way around, he intended zombies to operate similarly to the mod, he might get a good idea that this is not what the community wants. Inputs like "Add more gun variants on next patch" and "fix ladder falling" are the worthless inputs - obvious information they already know. I'm sure ladders will be fixed when all ladders are in the game, more gun variants will come with time, they're obviously not leaving it at .357-fnx45-shotgun-m4-mosin-sks

    That's actually the one thing I do feel the devs didn't consider when selling this game early release. Either they have to confine the game to the original hardware considerations for a barebones alpha Or put out players with lesser PC's. I don't think the game should be limited by any players PC, if you don't have the hardware for it... well that's why I play PC games in addition to Console. Then again, I have the hardware for it.

    I mean, it sounds like the admin accused you of hacking, and then was wrong and didn't appologize... Doesn't seem like it needs a whole wall of text imo.

I was talking with my mother last week, and she said to me "Hey son, did you know if you raise your fists first you'll run faster in that Daze-yy game you play." And I was like "no shit everyone knows that"

    it should be made clear that you only start losing blood at all at hefty level of dehydration/starvation, and you only start losing a notable amount of blood in EXTREME situations like this. Like if you decided to take your freshspawn on a tour of chernarus with no gear.

    Adding risk to "Bandit" play style and other suggestions.

    You (and many others) seem to be forgetting that with a balanced in game loot economy and increased zombies and damage resulting to items from player damage in the future, there's going to be plenty of danger for any sort of bandit. Consider this: You're a newspawn with a backpack and a few items, but no weapon to speak of yet. You run into two players, one of which draws a gun on you and orders you to freeze. Right now, you're boned. Once all these things are implemented, first of all, they might need to rob you for a specific item you may have. Perhaps backpacks are really really bare at the time and they just want yours. Now, with the zombie count increased, there's PLENTY of zombies outside. Do you think they'll risk shooting you, drawing in zombies if you just bolt? If they do, they might ruin your backpack in the process. It's going to be a whole element to the game, more than just PvP, with the information we already have.

    It's all a moot point. For a while now rocket's had a post up which somewhere deep within the wall of text talks about a balanced in game loot economy. Without knowing the specifics, this means to me that there will be a specific amount of all loot and it simply won't spawn if the maximum number per specific object has been reached across the shard. So... go server to server all you want, you won't have any greater chance of finding it than going and checking the next possible spawn location for it. *Gasp* What will people do if loot spawn become mostly randomized after that?? No more guruanteed gun spawn on the third floor of the school-like building, even if one is ready to spawn at all. Think about what even firing a sniper rifle in a populated area would mean in these circumstances. You're public enemy #1 for everyone who wants a sniper rifle.

    Personally, I don't believe the speed at which you run currently increases your degradation rates, however I also don't think "turbo" running as you call it is supposed to be there. HOWEVER: YOU NEED TO BE WARY "TURBO RUNNING" ONCE YOU ARE GEARED. when sprinting unaware, you're going to run up on players and they're going to have the advantage. who cares if you're in a tshirt and pants but if you have gear, I would be very wary about when you do this. I personally don't if I have gear unless I'm in a group.

    You should have used the search function. This is a known glitch when spraypainting the mosin. Avoid doing so for now.

    How to find Berries in DayZ Standalone

    This is experimental, they were supposed to be in stable .32 if I remember correctly. I did this exact same thing yesterday in this bush and many others figuring it come up as a context option if berries were available, but it didn't work in this bush or any others. Seems like you're actually able to gather (without a context option) in the next build though.

    I could get on board with more traditional straw sun hats in that case. What I'd be very interested to see, however, is how item degradation effects it's physical qualities later on in development.

    I read that post, most of it at least, and I gotta say it seems like the factors they added to simulate gun weight etc would be one of the things that separate this game from a flat arcade game like CoD
