Underground shelters with hidden entry ways in the mountains, covered with surrounding twigs/dirt/etc. Or at least being able to dig yourself a spider hole big enough to disappear for a bit. Might stave off some combat logging, giving the user a real-world and more tactical option to escape/evasion.

Purchased Turtle Beach's EarForce x11's years back while in the peak of CoD MW1/2 to hear dem footsteps/reloads. Normally I don't play with these on unless voice com is necessary, but it works perfect for DayZ and are extremely comfortable and has great quality.

So yea, I've seen a lot of people post about KoS and complaining that it is ruining their experience... But, I read all that before playing the game so i knew what to expect. Knowing this, I picked extremely low pop servers (0-10) to learn how to properly play, become self sufficient, learn how to get the most important items the quickest, learn to navigate and learn the damn map. All of this should be done before logging into a high pop server; personally i don't see why you wouldn't want to take matters into your own hands and place yourself in a situation where this won't be a factor until you're good and ready to deal with these types of people.

I mean, it's plausible. But, parents don't buy their whiny bastard child a gaming rig, they buy them a console to console them. So, combine ALL of the people you've come into contact with on games like CoD/MoH/etc in a console environment and insert into DayZ... no thanks. I mean, more power to them if they can make it and profit off of it only after the PC version has a fully stable release, but I wouldn't risk it due to the inevitable shitstorm that would follow, having the chance to stain the DayZ name. Also, children.

Thanks for the tip man, i was only able to play smoothly on a non-battleEye server, which are just experimental/test whatevers. I will be trying this when i get home tonight! Uninstalling AVG. Or, they could just remove battle eye until a fix is created.
