  1. Never mind I actually sorted it. I had unblock us installed and forgotten about it. I assumed that seeing as DayZ uses my CD key to assign the profile to me I didn't think that would be the issue but it was. So sorted now.
  2. Hi. I have steam at home and play on Dayz Via DayZ commander. I recently installed DayZ at work and attempted to play on it during dinner but when I log on it gives me a totally new character. I checked DayZ Commander and it doesn't have my preferences or favorites saved so I assume this is a commander issue. Can anyone give me some help as to why my DayZ commander has created two separate pofiles for one steam account? Or why when logging in via Commander it logs into the same server with the same name and steam account and CD keys but gives me a different profile? At the moment I darent try using the profile from work as I do not want it to overwrite my current one from home.

    Why do you play DayZ?

Hey, I got DayZ standalone a week ago and have been enjoying it solo but recently was killed by a group I had no chance in fighting. I was disappointed by my death and after I respawned I turned it off. Since then I have been wondering what could bring me back and I would like to ask what it is that brings you regular players back? So basically why do you play a game that essentially has no goal or endgame? And especially why do you keep playing a game that can so very quickly, unfairly and unexpectedly kill your character? I would especially like to ask those who play solo and have done for a considerable time as that is how I will have to play. I found that simply surviving solo wasn't very hard so I am hoping to find some purpose to keep me playing as I dont really want to shelf this game but I just wasn't having fun last time. Cheers.
